βGreat cup of Colombian coffee. Service is a little slow, but it's a nice environment. Outside seating area is an added bonus.β
βA new venue for me. We called in for a coffee and hot chocolate. Great value for money. A relaxed morning stay for perhaps 20 minutes and would definitely visit again. Well done to the staff for a clean venue and good service.β
βWe went for Christmas Day and wow the staff are on another level. Jordan, maisey and every member of staff who served us was amazing. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere made our Christmas perfect. We will be booking next and cannot to come backβ

βLovely lovely staff. Was served by lovely staff with curly black hair they were so nice and welcoming.β
βVery nice food, friendly staff. I was very impressed with the ruby hot chocolate in particular.β
βFantastic came in for a Christmas Eve meal and of course it was busy but that didnβt stop the staff from giving amazing service and the food was also just fabulous so impressed especially on Christmas Eveβ
βJust had Lunch. My partner had a pork roast and I had a southern fried chicken burger. Both meals were delicious, one of the best burgers I've had. We both also had red velvet cake sundaes which were fantastic! The staff were brilliant, service was very good. The Pub is also dog friendly.β
βA charming and cozy little pub that feels refreshingly different from the typical Greene King franchise. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, engaging in delightful conversation that added a personal touch to our visit. The food was excellent β we tried the sharing platters and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and great value. The pubβs Christmas decorations were beautifully done, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. This is easily one of the best Greene King locations weβve visited locally, and weβll definitely be returning!β
βWe didn't stay in hotel so cannot star the rooms. The food was lovely I had classic hunters chicken (chicken new yorker) and it is the best one I have had so far, the hot drinks were refills, staff friendly, would definitely go there again.β
βServed by James C extremely well looked after. My little boy has allergies and the attention he took making sure all possible safety measures were in place was very impressive. Time spent conversing and paying attention to my son and even let him put pictures up within the restaurant which made his day. Food excellent as always and great hot selection. Beautiful since the refurb we come regularly and always enjoy our breakfast FIVE EXCELLENT SHINY STARSβ
βBar staff fab, friendly and efficient. Serving chef, positive with a good sense of humour.. Our waiter for the evening 100% fabulous. Polite, efficient, patient with one of vulnerable players, checked all guests for allergies, checked with chefs and advised a member of our party accordingly. Cleaned away dishes so subtlety no one hardly noticed. Curtesy checked all in our group which was a large number. Apologised for 2 puddings coming out last just 3 minutes after the others which there wasnt a need for an apology as we were a very large group. We had also been sat early too. This young man didn't miss a beat. By far the best waiter ive ever come across, a few of us agreed, we've worked the sector one been a pro chef herself who's hard to impress lol. Some of us tipped as paying the bill. Once everyone had paid up some of the group got chatting with the waiter who thanked us again. We decided to collect a group tip.. We didnt need to or have to.. 1. Its christmas the season of good will and giving 2. The lad didnt miss a beat and deserved a little something. I took the glass to the bar with him set it down and told assumingly his manager that was his tips gave him and hug and wished him a merry Christmas. As the group started to leave a few minutes later he was clearly leaving for home and still went and checked a number plate on a taxi for one of our group before dashing to his car thanking us again. Honestly folks staff as busy as these were on our arrival and still keeping a high standard with a smile on their faces isnt easily found these days. To the Managers, thank you again its always a pleasure and a super well done on the hire of this waiter receipt said laim but I do believe his name is parki apologies if its spelt wrong most of us who asked his name are hard of hearing or have Dory memory lol. Thank you again from all of us a Leek CSOB We'll be back again soon, Have a merry Christmas and a blessed new year.β
βVery enjoyable lunch here today. Sausages & mash, with peas & gravy - washed down with 2 mugs of tea. Food good quality, plentiful and reasonably-priced. Great atmosphere & friendly staff.β
βThe pub is in Biddulph not Stoke on Trent. ΒΉNot the most interesting of buildings. But they cannot all be interesting. Those that are special are worth the visit, just to enjoy the building. .. Llandudno, Penrith, Whitby, for example. But not this one. Architecturally all it has going for it is a downstairs toilet. So settle for the food, which was fine, and the range of cheap beers. The service was excellent. Not busy but still noisy...intrusively so. One or two loud individuals....possibly too much cheap beer. Will not rush back. There are better Wetherspoons just as local. Parking is possible, if you are lucky on side streets, but limited to either 1 hour or 30minutes.β
βFood was lovely and staff were really friendlyβ
βVisited for first time. Excellent ambiance with good mix of age groups and demographics. Food was piping hot; tasty and with generous portion sizes. Very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend and will definitely eat here again soon.β
βCame in on 2 seperate nights after a trip to Alton Towers, treated by some lovely staff, the food was quite enjoyable and fairly fast from ordering. Tami provided excellent service and was absolutely lovely to meet and speak too. Should.we be in the area again, we would definitely stop by againβ
βWork in Stone a couple of days per week so have been coming in for my lunch. Lunchtime offers are great. Soft drink and a meal for just under 8 quid! Drink served within a couple of minutes to the table and the food is always quick as well! Longest Iβve waited is about 5 minutes for my food. Great serviceβ
βLovely friendly place to visit in Stafford, the new bar man with dark hair was excellent helping me choose a drink couldnβt have been more polite credit to the new landlords. Fast efficient and helpfulβ
βI came in with my cousin because the steak here is just so good. Itβs stunning and we sat outside under the pergola. The food came quick and looked amazing. My chips were not cooked properly and were solid which was a shame and I did return them but I knew I wasnβt going to eat them anyway as my plate was returned with my steak and salad whilst I waited for fresh chips and I canβt eat in that kind of way lol. Regardless the staff were apologetic and asked if I wanted to complain but I said no as the food has never been bad from here before and the steak was still amazing and the salad hence still giving 5 stars. Drinks are lush too love the range of gin available. 100% recommendβ
βThe Royal Oak is genuinely a standout spot, whether youβre stopping by for a casual meal or planning a relaxed evening out. The atmosphere has that perfect balance of cozy and welcoming, making it easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make you feel taken care of without hovering. The food is especially good. Every dish feels fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. From classic pub favorites to more elevated specials, everything comes out with great flavor and generous portions. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Even the smaller touchesβlike perfectly crisp chips or beautifully presented platesβhelp the whole experience stand out. Overall, The Royal Oak is the kind of place you look forward to returning to. Great food, great service, and a warm, inviting vibe make it an easy recommendation.β
βAs always a Wetherspoons that is more than the sum of its parts. My wife and I popped in for a glass of wine whilst out for an early evening stroll and stayed to eat. Service a little slow but one member of staff stood out for his willingness to engage. Food as reliable as always - and great value. And we loved the energy and people watching.β

βWhile I love this place, as the staff are lovely as is the coffee, I have to comment on the toilet. It's absolutely disgusting, the hand basin is a health hazard! The plug hole is dangerous, it needs a total refurb, c'mon bosses, clean it up....pleaseβ
βJust can't fault it The large fish and chips is amazing value, but all of our food was freshly cooked, flavoursome and piping hot. All of the staff were polite and attentive By far the best value in the areaβ
βAlways rated Spoons beer and coffee, as we all know is great value and selection. I'm not certain about the adjacent business. Funeral Director. There was a better selection of food pre COVID-19. Chicken avacardo salad was nice, no longer available.β
βThe food is good for the price. The carvery is lovely - tender meat, lots of side dishes (sometimes the veg can be a little watery, but I've not had a bad meal there yet). The pizzas are made by hand, and are really tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, they are very good about dietary requirements and allergies. There are some days it can be a little noisy in one part of the place, but it's big enough that you should still find a quiet corner I've given it 5 stars for food because you get a good meal for a very reasonable priceβ
βWe had a lovely afternoon tea, the sandwiches were very fresh & full, beef & horseradish, tuna & sweetcorn, ham & chutney, cheese & tomato, the cakes were delicious, lemon cheesecake, banoffee, cream sponge cake, chocolate cake & taylors tea with nice friendly service in a lovely setting one of the best cream teas we have had.β
