“A great pub. Great food and drink. Landlord is a gentleman and his wife a fantastic cook. I always have the gammon washed down with a few beers. Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!”

Everyone enjoyed their food, there was plenty to get round after a few orders of the light bites and the Christmas dinners looked excellent. We didn’t bother with puddings so can’t comment but what we saw coming out looked decent. Special mention to Jack for being attentive and looking after us and his photography skills! Will definitely return especially during the summer as such a great location and n the canal.”

Even though I contacted him late at night, he replied straight away, and within 10 mins recovery was arranged for the next morning.
