“We spent a long weekend in nearby Alton and stumbled across this restaurant, and what a treat! Not only a lovely change from the usual pub grub so commonly found locally, but it was super tasty. We live in London and are picky about our curries, but this place definitely ticked the box. Even our little ones really enjoyed the korma. Just be warned about those portion sizes! Great service too. Chaps who work there were very welcoming and attentive. Would recommend.”

“Today we were celebrating my sister’s 70th Birthday and what better place to accommodate 19 of us? Some of us had been before but others hadn’t. The ones who’d been before for the Sunday buffet couldn’t wait to come again and the others thought it was ideal. From start to finish the staff were friendly & efficient, the food was fantastic, couldn’t fault it. A really enjoyable way to celebrate a 70th Birthday with family. We will be back.”

“Went here on Saturday night while visiting family in the area. We are from Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. Food was delicious and very generous portions. I had lamb potato chops for starter. I can absolutely recommend this. For my main I had the Bombay Salmon Tikka. This is new to the menu and I can honestly say it was the tastiest meal I have eaten for a long time. The staff were so polite and friendly. Service was amazing. Thank you x”

“Me and my best friend chose this place for a catch up! We love the cosy feel of places! And this one is now one of the hotspots I think we will return too! The staff were lovely, so welcoming. The food was really good, my friend had a bacon and egg bap, I had a full English. The coffee was so good! I'm even comparing other coffees to theirs now reminiscing! “We booked a table for 10 plus infant to celebrate my partners’ 60th birthday. What a fantastic decision that was. The staff could not have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and extremely good value. I contacted them in advance and they made a delicious birthday cake to serve at the end of the meal and even put up birthday bunting. Could not recommend this inn more highly!”

“What a beautiful pub, walked in, needed a table for 6, the lady sorted it out even though they had taken a booking for 20 people. Brilliant menu, food looked & tasted fabulous, service was quick. Waiters were so helpful & polite. Definitely would recommend for anyone to eat there.”

“i absolutely love this place it is my all time favourite. the food is delicious, the waiters and waitresses are lovely and polite and the building itself is gorgeous. i went there for my birthday and they were so sweet gave me desert on the house and sang happy birthday. it’s in a lovely little village and everywhere is so tranquil- especially later at night. i consistently go back to alberto’s because how lovely a place it is. this is my favourite restaurant i’ve ever been to and highly recommend as the food is delicious and affordable”

“Really nice little casual fine dining restaurant. Cosy place, good attentive service and excellent food. The gravadlax starter was very refreshing and the chicken vol au vent tasty. The The roast dinners were good and my pork chop with tempura corn was outstanding very well cooked. Desserts were tasty as well, a good example of Tiramisu and great cherry bakewell. Enjoyed the experience, would like to try the tasting menu next time, not cheap but worth it for high quality food.”
