“we had the most amazing day here looking at the animals! the shire horses are so beautiful and we were able to stroke them as well as listen to a talk about each of them. The centre also has otters and foxes which we were able to learn about whilst they were being fed. Honestly, the most incredible place with such friendly staff and beautiful animals - will definitely be coming back!”

“Booked a table for 3 for lunch on Friday. Tim greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. He even took photos for us. The food was delicious and the service was great as always. It's such a lovely place to go and eat and then finish with a walk around the shop or the garden centre or both. Just love Jackson's Nursery.”

“We have visited this restaurant on two occasions now both times for the pizza which is very tasty and a good size. We normally go around 3.30 / 4pm on a Sunday as it's not to busy and enjoy a seat by the window. The service is good but I did feel it was a little rushed this last time as maybe staff were looking for something to do. Sorry who wants to rush on a Sunday?? That's why I have given 4 stars.”

“Returned to CW2 after a while and ate with a friend. Boy, it was so good! I had the monthly special - Wal-Nut case, walnut, pear and rocqufort cheese - it worked so well! My friend had the Chicago smash (see pics) whilst we had parmesan truffle fries and onion rings. So fresh, so good. Will not be waiting so long again before returning.”

“My little one loves going here. They have a wonderful mix of farm animals, which you can feed (the animal food to cheap here compared to other places). They also offer lamb milk feeding which is so cute. They have a barn with cars and bits in, a lovely park and a woods to walk through which help to provide variety and extend you visit. “We popped in Thursday 18th of September 2025 , for something to eat with my wife and daughter, because we haven't been to Shrewsbury for years, my daughter had a 4 day break in the city. It's a quaint little cafe , service with a smile and friendly. Reasonable prices good atmosphere it was about 3 o'clock ish and still busy , but got seating okay. Food was lovely and it was prompt . So all in all well worth a recommendation to come again when we next return from Liverpool. Thanks again all staff and cooks from the Taylor trio liverpool.”

“I will be honest, the last time I went to PDP it was horrendous. There was no atmosphere, they got our meals wrong and it was just genuinely bad. Fast forward to yesterday and it was INCREDIBLE. “We came across this pub after a day an Alton Towers, when we arrived we was greeted with lovely staff and atmosphere. Ordered some drinks and decided to stay for food. Ordered steak which was cooked to perfection. And a pork schnitzel which was full of flavour. Everything came out piping hot. Ordered 2 sausages for my daughter who doesn’t like peas and chips and they reduced the price for this reason. Lovely wine too. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore. Was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last!”
