“I've seen reviews here that people were unhappy with their rooms. I can see their point... But I stayed here for a night out drinking... Bed feels like the most comfy cloud when you've had a few. Walking distance from bars. What more do you expect? Personally really liked it. I'd come back.”

“I stayed here on the 17th of December and found the hotel not too bad. The gent on reception was polite and welcoming and I couldn't of ask for more for the price payed. People have to understand that these hotels lost a lot of support during the pandemic with ten of thousands of pounds lost. I have stayed in alot worse than this hotel and would return. It was clean, it was warm and I had a good night's sleep. Keep up the good work staff and thankyou for a nice stay. Room 212. D.P.”

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but The Connaught Hotel truly impressed me, so I had to. We stayed here for a wedding and booked multiple rooms. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely amazing, their communication, helpfulness, and hospitality really stood out. Some of our rooms were booked through Booking.com, while a couple were reserved directly over the phone. We found that calling the hotel directly can often get you a better rate, so it’s definitely worth checking. The hotel even upgraded our rooms for free, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay extra special. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt really well looked after throughout our visit. A huge thank you to all the staff, we’ll definitely be using The Connaught Hotel again in the future!”

“Stayed here for the weekend as a wedding party, everything is immaculate, beautifully presented, views are amazing, rooms are great, comfy beds, great bathrooms, unbelievably well equipped cottages suitable for large parties, dinner parties, bbq’s, playing sports. Owners are friendly and genuinely just want you to have the best time possible. Will stay again.”

“Our Pebbles has stayed here twice. On both occasions I am sure she would have been happy to stay there rather than come home. I have no hesitation in recommending Pooch Palace to anyone but be prepared for your dog not wanting to come home. We are getting another puppy this weekend and Pooch Palace will certainly be our first and only call to arrange a stay for them both. “First time bringing our cat Jenson here. He is 16yrs old and very temperamental to say the least! Lovely heated housing, very very clean. Cute little window to view the countryside. He stayed for a week. Really happy with the quality of this cattery and will be bringing him here from now on. Highly recommend.”
