“Stayed here for one night and it was great. We had a lovely meal on the Saturday night with live 60s music great atmosphere. Norma and John are lovely friendly hosts. Everyone is so friendly our waiter was a lovely young lad. Our breakfast was delicious cooked to perfection by Norma. Thank you, everyone made our one night stay so memorable.”

“A lovely campsite, clean and warm toilet & shower block. Staff realy helpful and the pub is a tardis, good selection of drinks the food was excellent. Very close to Bridgnorth has loads of parking for all types of vehicles. Will definitely stay here again”

“Great place to come and socialise, eat great traditional food and drink beer. Suitable for groups of people couple's or solo drinkers. Old world decor reminding people of a Victorian Black Country era. The ambience is welcoming and cosy. Tipton railway station is about a 10 minute walk away making Mad O'Rourke's accessible from Birmingham and Wolverhampton.”

“We had our son's first birthday party here a couple of weeks ago. Ben and Sarah were fantastic throughout all of the planning stage and on the big day. They allowed us to tailor the buffet menu how we wanted, decorate the orangery and bar area and bring outside entertainment. The food in the buffet was very delicious and there was plenty to go around for our 95 guests. We had a lot of positive feedback from our guests - many asked how we found the venue. Bar service was great and so were the team cleaning plates and glasses throughout the event. Highly recommend birthday parties and gatherings at this well ran family hotel. We did not use any rooms so cannot comment on these or rate them.”

“After reading a bad review on here I was shocked so decided to write my own experience - ignore the haters! How anyone can fault them is beyond me; I have never met a company more professional and friendly! Hugo has been to quite a few different kennels as has anxiety and trouble settling in - he used to cry when we left him elsewhere. However, he now barks when he gets down the lane and realises where he is going, and jumps straight out of the car and into it when he arrives with lots of tail wagging! In fact he doesn't even notice you leave now, he just runs off with them! Everyone is extremely friendly and you can tell how much they love animals; every time we drop/pick up and see them with other dogs too they spoil them rotten with lots of attention! A great location means he gets plenty of woodland walks which he loves, and a lot of playtime! You can tell how much time and effort everyone puts in - he's always relaxed and never wants to leave! He always leaves in such a great condition too - always super soft and doesn't smell of "kennels" like previous places. Another big mention is how wonderful and caring the staff are - even after being extremely busy and fully booked they have managed to squeeze him in last minute when we had a few health issues at home - they could have easily said no but they didn't. 5* service, please don't listen to bad reviews as they are amazing! “booked in on the way up last minute as did not know what time I would arrive, Receptionist on the phone was excellent and answered all my questions. Arrived and was greated with a nice smile and was shown the room which was comfortable and clean, Went down and enjoyed a lovely duck breast with rice and a nice pint. Location is great just off the motorway . Totally diamond of a find would highly recommend this as a stop over.”

“Beautifully located on the banks of the River Severn, however, nasty winding lane passing Severn Valley Railway to access the pub. Standard pub grub elevated to meet dietary requirements. Even making homemade onion rings in gluten free batter! Great prices for the standard of food. They could easily charge much more. Eat inside or out on the deck. Help yourself to cutlery and condiments, pay at the bar and take a numbered spoon to your seat. Friendly atmosphere. Great, safe play area for children and pygmy goats to say hello to. Food was such good value and quality that we went back the following week to eat again!”

“Stopped by bassa villa for a drink by the river seven. A lovely pub filled with history. Its also a b & b above the pub. Outsude is a court yard filled with benches so u cam sit on a summer evening watching the world go by while listening to the river and the wildlife.”

“IHighly recommend this cattery! Gemma is absolutely lovely! I left my Ace for 4 nights ... he is a tremendous fuss pot however when I went to collect he was OK and pretty relaxed! “Amazing Stay at The Larches – 10/10 Experience! I had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Larches in Wolverhampton. I have to say the customer service was exceptional—friendly, responsive, and made the whole process seamless. The room itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a warm, homely feel. The bathroom was equally impressive, super clean, and well-equipped. All the instructions for finding the property and accessing the room were very clear, which made check-in easy. Overall, it was a perfect experience from start to finish. I’d highly recommend The Larches to anyone visiting Wolverhampton. Definitely a 10/10 stay!”
