“The kebabs are a recent addition to the takeaway menu and are fantastic. Chicken pakora and tandoori chicken on chips with salad and house sauce. Also offered NHS staff 20% off during Covid so full marks.”
“Really hard to beat. Great food fantastic portion sizes and very reasonable on the pocket”
“Top place and a highlight of our stay in the Northern Ireland. Cozy atmosphere, exquisite food (my goodness how much food we ate here!) and very friendly people running the bistro. I highly recommend this place and sincerely hope to come back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Absolutely superb. Definitely top shelf. Michelin Inspectors on the way”
“We had a wonderful meal at Bank Street Brasserie last night. As vegetarians, it’s always a pleasure to find a menu that feels thoughtful rather than like an afterthought and this absolutely delivered. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. We were so sad to hear they’re closing after Christmas, such a real loss. It makes us wish we’d eaten here more often. A truly special place that will be missed.”
“Love this restaurant. Eat here every year on our overnight stay before catching the ferry to Scotland the next morning . It's not often you peruse a menu and literally love everything on it but that's what you feel at Ginger Bistro. Service is just great, cocktails, food, obviously, and wines plus great ambience. One of our favourite places anywhere!”
“My partner booked us a table online for the same day for Sunday Lunch for around 3pm as a treat. The restaurant is so beautiful to sit in, and had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent. We were greeted and offered water for the table within minutes of being seated. All drinks were served in great time. The servers were happy to provide suggestions when we couldn’t decide between dishes! We were highly impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. The Roast Beef is incredible. I also recommend the Duck Pappardelle for starter. We will certainly be back.”
“The food here was great and the staff were able to serve a large group efficiently without a long wait. The Salt and Chilli Chicken starter was particularly tasty. It was a bit quieter here than some of the more central eateries in Belfast but well worth a visit.”
“Sunday dinner was beautiful very reasonable priced and great service from all the girls”
“Had a lovely family evening dinner . Their cod dish is absolutely delicious. Nice service. Very pleasant”
“Best bar in Bangor. Guinness best in the country. One of the only places left where it's not chilled to the point of no flavour. Also a proper pub; no food, sports on quietly in the corner, mix of interesting characters.”
“Asian fusion with a twist at a corner or two, simply delightful. Paired with well suited wines of many varieties, coupled with a potent yet delicious selection of cocktails. Looking forward to a return visit.”
“What a gem , what a fab restaurant- great service, great staff and fantastic food. I have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants and this could be ranked at that level. The food was exceptional! Good choice of drinks and pleasant atmosphere, would definitely recommend when in Belfast.”
“Some of the best food I’ve ever had, truly. I got the salmon/smoked haddock special, my fiancé got the lamb burger, and we split a seafood chowder to start. The seafood chowder had ENORMOUS chunks of fresh, delicious salmon. The wine list is pretty good for Ireland and features Romanian wine in particular. Loved every bite!”
“Superb. No need to read on, make a booking now. Traditional bistro / European / brasserie food. Sadly I have only been the once, but everything on the menu looks delicious. The service was great, the restaurant had a nice warm feeling, everything was amazing. Will be going again the next time I am in Belfast.”
“Enjoyed a beautiful Christmas lunch with family in Howard Street on Saturday 6/12/25 - the food was sublime and service from staff warm and welcoming. Would recommend and we are looking forward to our next visit..”
“Highly recommend this place from outstanding service to quality food. Great choice for our Sunday dinner and nothing was an issue while catering for my son and niece for the kids menu. Sea food pie was something else, delicious. Veg came separately and there was plenty.”
“Wonderful, Warm, Friendly & Professional Service. Food Was Absolutely Delicious And All In Totally Relaxing Surroundings. Can Highly Recommend”
“We absolutely loved our recent dining experience here. The overall menu variation is fantastic, making it easy to find something for everyone, and the pricing offers exceptional value for the caliber of food. The real highlight, however, was the local venison Wellington. It was rich, incredibly tender, and perfectly prepared—easily the best Wellington I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot!”
“Outstanding service and quality restaurant. The filet mignon was a superb cut, chunky chips cooked to a crisp, butter sauce, and the carrot/parsnip great. Highly recommend, atmosphere comfortable and social with tables of 2.”
“Attended as part of a group of 12 - 7 adults/5 children for the Sunday carvery. Very accommodating with the young children, delicious food, generous portions and great quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely family atmosphere. Highly recommend! Only negative comment was that the kids meals didn't come with any veggies, although the under 5s were free of charge so definitely not a complaint.”
“Had takeaway from this place, our kids really enjoyed. Food delivered on time . I had salt n chilli chicken & my wife had Boston burger.Delicious meal .”
“Lovely cafe, nice food. No public toilet but you can use the staffs one, if required”
“Easy booking online and reminders etc Food was lovely you could tell it was authentic Thai and a nice atmosphere Myself and my wife enjoyedthe whole experience and I was impressed by the lady whom was running the whole show and not out to impress as the food does that for itself It was a Thursday evening so not as busy I'm sure of like a Friday or Saturday where she might need a hand ☺”
“At the beginning I thought it's gonna be a really expensive place, because it looks so fancy, but the prices are very good and the quality of the food is excellent. I tried the lamb and the vanilla ice cream sandwich with chocolate for dessert and I have to say that I highly recommend it. For about 15£ we were extremely full.”
“Went here for a birthday dinner and got the set menu! It was great. Such a variety, filling and lots of flavour.”
“Food was amazing, gourmet burger was delicious. Black forest gateau and the mochas are great too. Lovely staff, very helpful and a nice space to dine in.”
“Went in on a very wet day. We were only going to have a couple of drinks but we decided to have their cheeseboard as a small snack. It was amazing value for money, lots of crackers, cheese and grapes, with a vwry tasty chutney for some sweetness. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The icing on the cake though was the coal fire, roaring away and keeping us toasty warm.”
