“My favourite kidderminster coffee shop. Coffee is delicious, atmosphere and staff are warm and friendly. There are also games and toys for children which helps it be family friendly. Toilets are up two flights of stairs but are well looked after. Disability access for downstairs only. Also, as toys are upstairs may be an issue for pushchairs.”

“Love this pub! It's so different. The art work on the walls is vintage style tattoos and made for interesting viewing. The beer selections were great and the IPA my husband had was top notch. Fresh, crisp and clean. The lines were clearly well maintained. The bar staff were friendly and attentive. The pub clearly attracts a hugely varied clientele. The Vic is defo our go to bar when we are heading to the Alex to grab a bit of culture. What we did have to chuckle about was the a cable of gents enjoying a quiet pint and when we headed into the theatre and the show started it was the band! Which if its good enough for the performers its definitely good enough for us”

“My wife and I ate here before a gig as I'm a big fan of their beer. The food was really nice, the beer was great and the staff were fantastic. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond, even preparing and suggesting we move to a table away from the door so we wouldn't get the cold air everytime it opened. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful, a real credit to the bar and to BrewDog.”

“I thought I visit this lounge as i heard good stuff and it did not disappoint, the shisha was reasonably price and i believe its one of the cheapest in Birmingham. The lounge is well decorated and alot of good flavours on the menu along with drinks and mocktails. The service is friendly and the guy at the counter is knowledgeable on the flavours.”

“What a delightful hidden gem. In amongst the high rises and the overpass there’s this insanely tasty burger joint. Simple, Affordable a perfect as a stop in on your way into town or somewhere quiet to chat over food. Well cooked. Well seasoned burgers. Fresh ingredients. I had onion rings on the side and they were substantial but not oppressively large.”

“I'd been hearing such rave reviews about this place from regulars, so just had to come and try! Had a Spanish latte, which was delicious, hot chocolate, and popcorn chicken which was so tasty! The decor was beautiful, service was good, and all for a very good price! Love that they give NHS workers discounts and their offers, which we'll definitely make use of next time! Thoroughly recommend Cafe 55!!”

“I havent been to a Tesco cafe in ages so great to see how its modernised. Theres modern decor and a relaxed environment. Great for families and space for accessible seating. I love their new menu lots of veggie options and optional extras like hasbrowns. The service was great we were served by Stella who was warm and welcoming. Food came quickly and a good portion size.”

“There is only one way to judge how authentic and good quality a certain cuisine restaurant is, and that is how many customers are from that area or ethnicity. If you went to Hong Kong and wanted a Full English Breakfast, you would go to the restaurant with mostly English people in. This is a no frills restaurant with the focus 100% on authentic Chinese food (not British Chinese food…there’s no egg fried rice here and that’s a great sign). Out of 10 customers, I was the only non-Asian customer (an even better sign). I ordered Chicken noodle soup (there must be a photo of it in another review), and it was exactly as my first ever meal in Kowloon. A salad bowl size bowl full of meat, noodles, broth and of course an egg. It tasted great, authentic and as expected, boiling bloody hot! I can never get through a whole bowl and at just £9.00 it felt like I had eaten a mountain of food. We parked in the Aldi car park across the road. Free for 2 hours. Highly recommended.”

“We did Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun on Saturday. This lovely little cafe is just by the start/finish which had a roaring open fire burning inside. Unfortunately, it is quite small so we had to sit outside to enjoy our breakfast as not enough seating for our sizable group (but we did keep popping into to stand by the fire and warm out hands and smell the wood smoke!) Great value breakfast, and loved that you could have mushrooms on your bacaon or sausage sandwich, often not an option. “Service with a lovely smile, the most sweetest lady ever who was kind enough to offer me a free tea when I had left my change in my car that was being fixed in the garage next door.. she has a huge menu to choose from and the food is made fresh. “Whenever I’m working in this area of Birmingham I always pop into this cafe for something to eat. I highly recommend the mega massive breakfast wrap which is huge! Always does me for breakfast & lunch. Haven’t tried anything else as yet but I’m sure I will at some point, definitely a hidden gem opposite the beeches pub.”

The food was great, and for £12.50 for two big breakfasts and teas, I could not complain at all. I really liked my time here and would recommend if you fancy a fry up. “HIDDEN GEM! Thought I would try this place out as I’ve seen their new brunch menu posters outside the cafe and really enjoyed it! Lovely atmosphere here with attentive and friendly staff. The food looked so professionally done and tasted as good as it looked! Definitely would go back here and is a great hidden gem in the jewellery quarter for brunch.”

“Had veg kothu parotta and it’s a great taste. Excellent place in Northfield / Kings Norton to have authentic South Indian or srilankan food. Have yet to try non veg foods. Edit on 12/11/2024: The shop owner has changed and remains closed during summer holidays.”

“Very very good fish and chips. I have had the fish and chips 20 years ago while I was lived in town. After 20 years another visit. Same boss, same warm greeting, Same recipe, same taste, same everything as 20 years ago. Crispy chips with tasty butter wrapped. Soft fish just well cooked.”
