“What I call proper home cooked food, we had cottage pie and a steak & kidney pie. Good choice of veg, both meals were hot and plenty. If still hungry puddings available. They also have a good menu catering for most tastes. A very short walk off the main road and bus station. Lovely staff”

“A proper Pub serving Black Country ales and guest beers. Also, the excellent Wyre pork pies(plenty of choice, pork and pickle, black pudding etc.)and cobs. Beer Garden out the back. Not sure if they have parking, but well worth the short walk from the High street. Very friendly and helpful staff and locals.”

“Food is delicious. We regularly visit this place and take family and friends with us. The interior decor is beautiful and great for taking family photos. Only downside is that the toilets are very unclean and smelly.”

“Marjayz have really come through with excellent food and service for our office! The dishes were full of flavour, fresh, and authentically Caribbean - everyone absolutely loved it. The team were friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. It’s safe to say the food was very well received, and we’ll definitely be ordering again. “Came for lunch today and had an absolutely delicious meal. Everything was fresh and perfectly portioned. Would 100% recommend. Our server Parthmesh was lovely - really accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you - will will be back!”

“Felt the warm sense of welcome as soon as we walked in the entrance, being happily greeted by a member of staff. Excellent service. Homemade Chai Latte made my wife very happy. Generous helping of butter, not in a foil packet on the sourdough toast. WONDERFUL strawberry, lime and mint jam.”

“Ooh lala!!!!!!!! This restaurant is one of a kind. We came here on a Saturday evening, staff were very friendly and the food ranks as the best vegetarian restaurant we've been to in UK. Our all time favourite was the soya shash, soya mushroom Balti and chili fry paneer. We enjoyed each of them so so much! We'll definitely be back again”

“Excellent friendly back street Birmingham local, warm and comfortable on a cold night with an excellent selection of real ales, both local and from further afield, including several dark and mild beers. A worthy CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry and only a few minutes walk from the City Centre and railway stations. Friendly staff and excellent bar snacks, would certainly return.”

“Visited Friday 28th November 6.00pm. Great service and food. Visited with two friends. The King Prawn Madras which is my regular dish was the best one i have ever had. The prawns were big and juicy and the sauce was proper Madras hot which these days is rare. Always on hand to supply more beer and was great value.I did not tip because 10% service charge was put on which i think was enough . I will definetly come again and urge others to try this little gem upstairs.”

“I had the nicest, fattest bacon sandwich. There was at least 4 rashers as apose to the 2 most places give you. It was quite possibly the best bacon sandwich I've had. The staff are welcoming and unlike a lot of the food establishments such as the 2 chippy's they accept card payments.”

“Friendly staff and very accommodating, let me eat in, when at the time it was take out only. Very clean inside with plenty of tables and an open kitchen, parking space outside Breakfast was great, everything included in the photo for a medium breakfast.”

“Thought I’d give it a try after going there after going something like 20 years ago. I thought I’d made a mistake until the food came and I demolished it. I had full English breakfast with coffee. 5 star and thoroughly enjoyed it. And best of all was the price. I mentioned when I left that it was fantastic and very cheap. Thanks girls. “I was walking past on one of my strolls and the smell drew me in like I was one of the bisto kids. I was served with an excellent Bacon Egg Sausage and Tomato sandwich which tasted every bit as good as it looked. I consumed it on a very pleasant seating area. The ladies who served me were pleasant. This is an excellent place.”

“Our local indian restaurant, we visit regularly. Tonight we were treated to an off the menu dish, Punjabi chicken. It was lovely. Our favourites are the railway lamb and beef khala buna. Great food served by nice people. They even remember to bring me extra coriander with my dish after asking for it one time. Now that's great service. 10 out of 10 all round.”

“Asda Driver here, have been delivering to these guys for years and they always take care of their drivers by offering them a hot drink which is greatly appreciated especially during the colder weathers. Staff are really friendly too. I think it's about time I visit this place as a customer and not a delivery drop off guy and what better time than the festive season? Merry Christmas No. 18”
