“I doubted family run Traditional Italian Restaurants after experiencing so so quality food and samey options delivered by overly passionate staff. Portobello Restaurant has put my faith back in the Italian culinary experience. On entering I was met by grounded, accommodating staff that ensured I was happy with the choice of table. Staff were smiley, chatty and assisted joyfully with the menu options. I opted for some nibbles and their excellently priced 2 courses for £19.95. The atmosphere in Portobello Restaurant is relaxed, sociable and family oriented. The minimalist artistic interior beams with natural light. Dishes were superbly presented, quality was evidently high. The jelly babies and hand written “thank you” on the bill echoed the care they provide to their customers. A wonderful experience.”

“Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday meal as we were staying in an AirBnb close by. Service was top tier, the lads were very attentive. We had a cocktail each which were both top quality, although I wish they sold lassi here. Food was beautiful, it felt a lot more authentic than your typical Indian restaurant. If you don't handle spice very well then maybe ask for recommendations as it's on the hotter side, masala chips were very spicy. Different dishes to choose from, the selection was great. Very much enjoyed it although quite pricey, came to nearly £90 for two. Would return if I was in the area”

“What a lovely gem in the middle of Worcester. If you don't want to do the tour of the house (which is very interesting trip in time) just going to the cafe and experiencing the garden is a lovely opportunity in itself.”

“We have just returned from a lovely evening at The Swan. We were a large group of 18 people but this presented no problems for the team and food was brought out all together and each meal was tasty, well presented and piping hot. “We visited the restaurant at The Pavilion last night and had a great experience. The food was delicious , everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour . The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to Nanvi, our waiter, who was especially attentive and kind. They made sure everything was perfect at our table and added a personal touch to the service that really stood out. “The windlass cafe is a very friendly and welcoming cafe, all staff are friendly and polite. We sat outside with our dog and the lady came out with a dog biscuit for our dog. Very dog friendly. Great location near to the locks. Food and drink very nice.”

“A proper Pub serving Black Country ales and guest beers. Also, the excellent Wyre pork pies(plenty of choice, pork and pickle, black pudding etc.)and cobs. Beer Garden out the back. Not sure if they have parking, but well worth the short walk from the High street. Very friendly and helpful staff and locals.”

“Love all the play facilities The children's play area is safe & well maintained Also used the outdoor table tennis table ( we take our own bats & balls) Plenty of spaces for youngsters to run around and/ or ride little bikes. A favourite park in the area”

“Took my granddaughter to see Aladdin having never been to the Core before and was blown away by the venue, the show and the pantomime itself It was fun , witty , and the dame( who by the way was excellent) with lots of audience participation . It was very up to date with jokes about the area , the news and take offs of television like mastermind and the film ghost . It was a joy for the children, but also a brilliant afternoon out for the adults Best pantomime I’ve seen ever !!! Elaine Rayner”

“This was a lovely walk around a lake, with good bird life, plenty of fish topping and leaping, and there must be a Heronery near as we saw about 20 fly into the lake, plenty of butterflies on the wing, a few information boards would be useful and some road signs, the map was a bit faded, a few more benches would be nice to sit and watch the wildlife, overall it was a great visit.”
