“Happy and helpful staff serving all types of customers. The good, the bad and the plain stupid !!… 5 stars”
“Whoever is the new buyer for Peacocks this year, well done. You have absolutely nailed it. The choices, the colours, the entrenched fashion and accessories are all amazing and there is something for all ages. The worthing store staff are so helpful and friendly.”
“Massive selection of items in all categories. Lots of things to look at. Some things were expensive for what they are and somethings were good value, I guess like most charity shops these days. Lots of books and dvds but also other things like fabrics and curtains, old electronics and gym equipment. Have only been once but will definitely be back to see what other pieces I can find!”
“This place is actually really good. It’s clean, organised, and has pretty much everything you’d expect; snacks, drinks, random essentials, you name it. Everything’s easy to find and well-stocked, which makes quick trips super convenient. The staff are nice too, Friendly, not overly chatty, just the right vibe. Prices are decent, nothing crazy. It’s one of those places you can count on when you need something last minute or just want to grab a quick bite. Not much to complain about, honestly. It just does the job well, and that’s all you really want from a convenience store.”
“I went to the ironmongers, asking for something to deal with a rat infestation. The man behind the counter said "Have you tried Boots?" I said "I want to poison them, not kick them to death." Apart from that, great staff and service here. Don't use the little car park behind, though, without very carefully checking the parking rules. Instead, use Waitrose for up to 90 minutes' free parking.”
“My hunger went on strike after visiting here.”
“I'm not a fan of fast fashion but after losing my luggage during my visit in Brighton I went to Zara looking for a warm jacket. Store was messy (it was around 2 pm) so I couldn't find anything. I approached Christian, one of the staff members. He smiled at the very first time he saw me and he didn't stop doing it. I asked for some advices and he showed me some trendy options. It was a bit expensive and I decided to went somewhere else but then Christian found a really nice one. It was on the stock room, so he ordered it and made us wait next to the lift, really close to the changing rooms. Since I was waiting, any of the other staff members looked at me. I asked one blonde girl, and without letting me finish she replied she was very busy and I needed to wait a bit more. After 5 minutes Christian saw me waiting, and he approached us smiling as before and asked if we had received the jacket. I told him that I was waiting for almost half hour and then he went by himself and brought it. It was odd because meanwhile some assistants were "really busy" just moving around and couldn't help me, Christian did it twice in less than 10 minutes, even when he was carrying heavy stuff. Honestly, I'd put 2-3 stars based in the overall experience, but I think Christian deserves to be recognized because his costumer service is amazing.”
“Great selection of food, especially if you want to buy something for a long train journey home - you do have to go outside of the ticket barriers - you should be able to do this if your ticket is valid. Good value and quality of food from M&S as it should be - handy for the station too”
“Friendly, helpful, caring, hard working. Tolerance. Would chat if They had time. I would add to this in the dreadful climate of ( smash and grab, theft and abuse) which has increased recently; They are very very BRAVE.”
“Always very friendly and helpful staff I have always been able to buy what I want here. A good selection for a small shop”
“Good selection, clean, well stocked, presented and rotated. Nice to see security on the door. Staff are usually upbeat and a couple even break into song on occasions which brightens my stop on the way to work. Friendly, well run store.”
“Super local store with parking. Compliments to the duty manager and CSA on shift early this morning. Staff who were stocking a fridge nearby, actually noticed me circling, looking for mushrooms, stopped what they were doing and asked me if she could help. Generally, if you need help in a shop these days, you have to find a member of staff and ask for help. It was refreshing to have a staff notice me and proactively seek to assist. At the till, the CSA/cashier was also chatty and friendly. A fine example of good old fashioned local hospitality and fantastic customer service. Came in for mushrooms and out feeling like I was going to have a really good day. People matter.”
“There’s a new guy called Josh and he was really helpful and kind. You need more staff like him Sainsburys!”
“Friendly and helpful staff . Always an excellent experience shopping here . Love Argos anyway. Reliable, easy, great value .”
“Karina is a smiling bundle of joy the best staff member a company could want and a credit to the coop should be working in a fish and chop shop full time instead ✌️”
“Thank you so much to the lovely staff who helped me with my Joie stroller today! I had my baby in my arms, and they were so kind and supportive — even helped set it up. Brilliant service, really appreciated! Here’s a photo of my happy little one in the new pushchair”
“Retail staff are not appreciated enough! I have worked in retail and know how difficult it is. Can u imagine if we didn't have them? I know I would be lost without them. I use this co op regularly and also get deliveries from them. They are all amazing and helpful and funny and so much more so thank you to every single one of u. U make the world a better place ”
“Great petrol, great selection of vapes and delectable onion rings with minimal staleness, scoffed them all in my car before I even got home !”
“I have no clue as to why other reviewers experienced such a lousy service. It is true that this coop is definitely not like the other larger super-stores, but what you do have is PEOPLE. Lovely service staff who carry your shopping to the car if you are elderly, staff who will, from their own pockets, help you out if you are a few pennies or pound short. The staff in this establishment will always try to help in any way possible and will take that extra step just because they WANT to. This is a Co-Op and as such the shelves might vary but invariable most of the shelves are restocked daily and, as far as I have noticed, Thursday and Saturday nights the shelves get a good clear out and then re-stocked in bulk. There is a handy toilet just outside that is cleaned hourly, and there is also a cab office in case you needed help getting home with your shopping. The quality of the produce is of very high standards, particularly their organic range. There is also a Peacocks within the store and fresh bread and pastries are baked every morning. The parking is plentiful and there ARE street lights so you can see where you are going, its just that these people respect the surrounding nature and do not have the huge sodium or halogen lights other establishments have, this supermarket is, after all, found at the back of a field and nature reserve, surrounded by large trees and spectacular greenery; the amount of birds that nest there is surprising and exhilarating, I am guessing it wouldn't be the same if the trees where chopped down to put up flood lights just so that you can go from your car 10 meters to the entrance of the store. Finally the whole store is sparkling clean and there is also a general post office that you can do your bank, such as deposits and withdrawals along with depositing checks etc. 5 stars CoOp Peacehaven Meridian”
“It was a pleasant surprise to find such a great selection of Indian dishes at this store — from Biryani and Tikka Masala to some of the sandwiches we often miss in the UK. The taste and quality are truly commendable. Thank you, Co-op, for thoughtfully including Indian varieties that bring a sense of comfort and familiarity to the community.”
“Thank you so so much to Shae (not sure if it’s the correct name sorry) who was so kind in helping me when my phones battery had died. I quickly ran across the road to fetch my card from home and had found that he had kindly placed everything in my shopping basket when I had come back to pay. Really appreciate that honestly! Massive thanks.”
“Staff are brilliant they put up with a lot, 24/7 open so price's can be a bit more than other places, staff are so friendly and helpful, easy going, lots of everyday products, security are on hand when in need which of a weekend is usually a lot. Lots of alcohol on offer, with lots to choose from. Also known as easy hours to us locals....”
“No staples, but pizza cutter in stationary section in a time of family tragedy. Utterly outrageous zero stars”
“Really pleased with the help from the team here with my medication. One store didn’t have my medication which is urgent to me daily. And this store was able to help with the 111 service and were very reassuring, organised and calm.”
