“You can't come to Brighton without visiting this iconic hotel. We sat in the bar and had an afternoon snack. BLT | Toasted bread, streaky bacon. gem luttuce. homemade £14. Smoked salmon & tiger prawn. iceburg lettuce, avocado. lemon. £16. And two pots of tea. Thought the prices were quite reasonable for such an impressive hotel. The service was good and we especially like it here as you can sit with your dogs.”

“We had a lovely experience from start to finish. We called to see if they had food and the lady on the phone was so nice and accommodating and chose a lovely table for us. The smoked chicken Sunday roast was amazing. Something we've never had before! And we had the pancakes for dessert, one word: WOW! Best dessert ever. The chef obviously put a lot of love into that. I'm sure we'll be back if we're in the area. Thanks to all the staff for being so kind on a Sunday evening.”

We started off our dinner with Bombay Bhel and I highly recommend trying their Chana Masala and Fish Curry– it's a must-try! “Had a brilliant meal, and the staff made my day and my birthday. We went late afternoon and they had just cleared the room after a big party. I really wanted to sit by the window and watch the sea, as living in Milton Keynes, we are completely land locked. They cleared a table so I could look out having my dinner. The staff (waiter and barman) went above and beyond, and the drinks and meals were fantastic. A faultless experience, and I would not hesitate to go back or recommend them”

“A Hidden Gem – If You Can Get In! The Cyprium Bar & Grill in Lingfield truly is a hidden gem — but getting a table there felt like a mission in itself. The online booking system didn’t seem to yield any response, and trying to get through on the phone was equally frustrating. It took sheer determination and persistence to finally secure a reservation. That said, once we were in, it was absolutely worth the effort. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive, and the food was genuinely excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Service throughout the evening was friendly and efficient, striking just the right balance. Interestingly, our server mentioned that it’s often best just to turn up. In the worst-case scenario, you can be seated in the bar area, which has a similar menu and still offers a great experience. If they could streamline the booking process and improve their responsiveness, this place would be a knockout from start to finish. But once you're there, you're in for a real treat.”

Good prices and amount of food is well worth the wait. All food cooked to order, fresh, hot and full of flavour. A regular pit stop for us walking to the stadium which is about 20 minutes away. Popular place for a reason! Recommennded”
