It was fabulous.. nothing was too much trouble, the food they did was tasty and high quality.They made sure they had the right number of staff, even helping me do the decorating on the night! They are such lovely people and put you at ease! I’ve eaten here loads of times and it has always been superb so it’s not surprising that they can also cater and host a function so well also.”

“Absolutely amazing nail salon! These were my birthday nails I got done by Claudia and the service was amazing! She was very nice and she was being with precise when shaping my nails and painting french tips and the salon is clean and hygienic and I recommend going to this salon to do nail extensions which uses poly gel and these nails held for a month and used best quality products to keep my nails healthy!”

“Friendly staff and warm welcome. Nice range of temperatures in the steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs and pool. The manager has a great sense of humour and I can imagine the only reason why people may have found her abrupt (which I’ve read in some reviews) was if they were breaking a rule (and the rules are in place to keep people safe and having an enjoyable experience). She was especially fantastic when I was getting changed at the end and had lost a contact lens by bringing in a little mirror with light to help me locate it! Thank you :-) I went on the Saturday evening session from 5.30 and enjoyed the atmosphere and balance of couples. I am not sure i would enjoy it if I attended mid week and found it full of lots of guys but the time at which I attended I felt very safe and comfortable and had a relaxing evening. Lockers are provided with a key that you return to reception - so no need to pack a £1 or to carry the key around for anyone who may be wondering. Also parking is right outside on the street with a pay by phone app. Very convenient.”

“Had lunch here with some friends. Large popular pub and not ruined by a makeover. The food was very good and reasonably priced. They have special offers depending on the day of the week. The Harvey's beer was in good condition. It was a Tuesday and fairly quiet. I understand it gets busy in the evenings and at weekends. There is a large outdoor seating area if you like that sort of thing. Will definitely go back when next in Lewes.”

“Ever been to High Brooms? No, me neither. Until today. Sunday Roast tourism takes you all round the houses. Today’s pit stop the Leicester Arms. Tip of the day: Pay the taxi fare before you’re out of signal range. The pub sits slap bang in the middle of Penshurst. Albeit Penshurst is so small it doesn’t really have a start or an end. In essence you’re between Penshurst House and Gardens and the Post Office, and opposite the town hall. The building is rustic with a warm village feel both outside and inside. Staff friendly, good toilet artwork and whole rolls of bog paper rather than the stingy dispenser nonsense - always a plus. Anyway, the roast. Oval plates that lip up at the sides with gravy up to a circa 2mm waterline leaving the hull of the potatoes and vegetables submerged. Two hearty slices of juicy pink sirloin and a Yorkshire pudding athletically perched on top. If art exists to be appreciated ad infinitum this installation was ripped apart in minutes. Devoured. 90 mins of travelling and an eating time shorter than a F1 pit-stop. Worth the visit? 100%. Washed down with a brownie that was warm, satisfyingly sludgy and had a thick slate of white chocolate inside. Lovely surprise. The menu quoted £8.50 the bill read £10. No complaints though, I would have paid £11 for it. All in a good day out.”

“Went here for a lunch break after having a trip down memory lane. Had a shandy and some chips and my server Kelly was awesome. When I told her I had lived in the area 50 years ago she say right down and asked me to tell her everything The chips were delicious with vinegar ( not typically served in US) and the shandy was perfect (no one knows how to make one in LA) The rhubarb apple crumble was soso and may not have been homemade. I will try the Sticky toffee pudding next time. The venue was cute and they had a great outdoor sitting area and the people were really nice. I would go again and again.”

“I recently tried the new starter menu at Stonehouse and was so impressed! The chicken goujons were perfectly cooked — lovely and tender, soft inside and not dry at all. The Camembert fondue was creamy and indulgent, paired beautifully with the toasted garlic bread (a match made in heaven!). The harissa prawns were another highlight — packed full of flavour with just the right hint of spice without being overpowering. Everything was well presented and tasted fresh. A fantastic new addition to the menu — I’ll definitely be ordering these again!”
