“Hands down the best Bulgarian meal I’ve had outside of Bulgaria. Went to Donchevi Kitchen & Bar today with my other half for lunch. As I’m from Bulgaria, I always wanted to share my cuisine but previous attempt have not been successful due to lack of quality original Bulgarian ingredients or chef abilities. This restaurant on the other hand tasted like home. We had kufteta, shopska salad, mousakka, parlenka and chips with Bulgarian cheese. Everything was not only authentic but also delicious. I loved it so much I had to ask for takeaway bag to take some home. I definitely recommend the restaurant to both Bulgarians and to everyone keen to try something different which they will enjoy. My partner is a bit picky with their food as they are British and tend to go with Italian food or British but they loved it too.”

“Iv been working in Brighton for 6 months and tried a few places to eat until i found the station cafe. Don't bother looking else where because you won't find a better cafe in Brighton. The staff were very friendly and enjoyed the banter .as for the food its 10/10 . All there meat is from local butchers and not cheep cash and carry stuff .hats off to all the staff and owners .keep up the good work and i will be definitely coming back next time im in Brighton”

“We went here for lunch after having seen some good reviews. It has a nice and light pub atmosphere, the service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Everything was great but the scallop special and the spicy king prawns were particularly good. Would definitely recommend.”

“We had a Sunday roast and on another night had the awesome bangers and mash and were not disappointed with either. Omg so much food and all delish and lots of choices. Guinness gravy was excellent btw! Staff were brilliant too. Would highly recommend.”

“I decided to treat myself tonight to a medium cod & medium chips, and they were awesome the cod was succulent and the chips were just how they should be, and because I ordered over the phone by the time I got to the shop I only had to wait 2 or 3 minutes, and now I'm sitting here with a very satisfied full belly listening to some of my favourite music.”

“Nice traditional pub. Where you can relax and enjoy a drink. Barley Mow has been there at least 50 years and feels warm and welcoming. A modern innovation, you are encouraged to order food in from local restaurants or try out the pubs own menu, so plenty of joice. There's loads of games to play, a patio with covered areas in case it rains. In the winter an open fire nice and cozy great for a romantic date.”

“We held a wake here recently but sadly, a lot of food, which was plentiful, was not eaten despite it being very good. The staff were very helpful, even providing something for a guest who was intolerant to certain foods and which we were not previously aware of. The buffet we chose was extremely fairly priced and we were more than happy to pay extra for any tes and coffees ordered.”

“A Hidden Gem in Brighton – A Must Visit! We stumbled across Busby and Wilds by chance while looking for somewhere dog-friendly with good food — and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Emily, which instantly made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made fresh with care. Every bite was spot on. It’s rare to find a place that nails the balance of great atmosphere, amazing food, and genuine hospitality. This is now my go-to spot whenever I’m in Brighton. “We visited for a hen do on the weekend. I had been messaging directly with the venue a few weeks before. Very helpful and responsive. Went to see the act Cherrybomb, who was brilliant. There was 16 of us in our group of all ages and everyone loved the show. They had reserved appropriate amount of space for our group. All up dancing and having a laugh. The entire team at Affinity were so nice and accommodating. Would recommend in a heart beat. My 76 year old mum loved it that much, she asked if we can go again and we pretty much had to drag her out at the end of the night for our ride home :-) bless her. Thanks again for the evening xx”

“I visited the Pelham arms as part of a large group for a Sunday Roast. The service and food were excellent. There was a choice of four meats and two vegetarian options. They were serving a lunch menu, too. The gluten free roast was exceptional. The staff are always really helpful. Can’t rate this place enough. Thank you, Pelham Arms.”
