“Lovely, helpful staff and great range of quality goods. In a small town setting, with good parking.”
“This store is my favourite. It is on my doorstep and all products are cheap, always well stocked but best is how brillian and kind and helpful the staff are. All of you are so polite and friendly and you have been trained by your Manager to a very high standard . You make sure that every customer leaves your store with a smile. “Really nice afternoon shop. Not overly busy, enjoyable”
“Always some good prices for lots of items I regularly buy. Also the staff are so freindly and help full even though the are often very busy. Filling shelves. Picking online orders. As well as serving on the tills.I find the home delivery service very hand as well. As I can carry on around the rest of yate shops and receive my Iceland shop later that day. Delivery is very reliable.”
“Well laid out, bright, clean and always well stocked. The cafe is also great value for money too. The toilets are in desperate need of a Refurb though! I’ve seen public toilets in city centres in better condition!”
“Always has good stock of afro carribean stock”
“The aisles are neatly organized and items are easily spotted, great work staffs Also, the African, Caribbean (foreign) aisle is a great addition to the store! Love it.”
“I recently visited the Aldi store on Church Road in Bristol and had a very positive experience. One of the standout features of this location is the affordability of their products. The rates are consistently cheaper compared to other supermarkets in the area, making it a great option for budget-conscious shoppers. Additionally, parking is plentiful and convenient, which is a big plus for those driving in. The spacious parking lot makes it easy to find a spot without hassle, even during peak shopping hours. Overall, Aldi on Church Road offers great value for money and a stress-free shopping experience thanks to its ample parking. Highly recommended!”
“Yes I shop here for the prices and good quality products, but the friendly professional service just makes a world of difference. The team should be proud of themselves! Even the young chap who is not a talker but has a friendly manner, it’s okay mate, you make me smile.”
“Massive shout out to all the staff! So freidnly! And funny! Very helpful! Shops always well stocked clean and quick service! Little shout out to lisa and the really tall man who helped me get my diet cokes today and dog treats !”
“A bit smaller than most Lidls, but very well stocked, super clean, and with very friendly staff. I’ll gladly keep coming back.”
“Shirehampton shop... Good selection of frozen foods, including veg, meat, party food, and desserts. Some great special deals to be found on occasions, such as 3x 1L soya milk for a pound. Value for money on known brands and rarely much of a queue. Fresh veg is very limited and quality a bit hit and miss. However, for relatively long opening hours and value for money, it's a positive shopping experience.”
“Good range of products at great prices. First Lidl I've been in with self checkouts so no long queues at the checkout, a big improvment”
“Great store, has a Argos within, friendly helpful staff, plenty of parking, cash point on the outside and nice selection of flowers as you enter”
“Manager Jo went out of his way to help locate a replacement Bubble Mower which was broken. He picked one up from Weston and brought it to Portishead store. So grateful and he is an asset to Home Bargains. Rare to find helpful , nice assistants these days. Thank you Jo”
“Very nice refit – all sleek, modern, and smelling faintly of middle-class ambition. It’s like they gave the place a spa day and now it’s feeling itself. Staff? Genuinely lovely. The kind that smile at you like they don’t immediately want to go home, which in retail is basically sainthood. The food hall’s looking fresh – proper glow-up. Great fruit selection too. The kind of grapes that come in unnecessarily aerodynamic packaging and look like they’ve never known a bruised day in their life. Shoutout to the water aisle. Yes, water. Apparently you can now get “volcanically filtered glacier mist” from a bottle that costs more than lunch. If your self-esteem ever gets too high, just check the price of M&S’s premium hydration and get humbled real quick. Overall, it’s giving: “we’ve got standards and a loyalty card.” Would recommend, just maybe bring a small loan for the fancy bits.”
“Great prices and surprisingly good variety of products; some that are unavailable elsewhere. Obviously good prices and quality goods. It has proved to be worth a weekly visit.”
“Always worth a look in this shop to see their bargains. Amazingly good value for moneg - although not all of their products cost £1! Well stocked, with a huge variety of goods from cat food to crockery, pasta to pants and lots more, this chain of stores offers bargains all round. Especially gòod for household cleaning items, stationery, kids' toys and cupboard stockers like dried and tinned food. I thoroughly recommend Poundland to everyone.”
“So many bargains all under one roof! With the end of term break coming up I popped in to stock up on craft items for the kids. I was not disappointed. Sticker sheets @ 2 for £1, crayons, pencils, poster paints and card as well as colouring books, stencils, foam cut outs and so many other arty crafty stuff! Then there are the snack foods and sweet treats for the kids. For when the children go to bed early on the night before school starts back I've treated my husband and myself to foot packs, face masks , hand cream and some fancy shampoo and conditioner as well as some relaxing bath salts so we can have a lovely long pamper session. I even picked up some treats for our two cats!!”
“Excellent service from gentleman that served me. Poundland nearly had everything on my list . Very satisfied Thankyou”
“Great store for basic everything toiletries to tow rope & cheap Bargain prices always come out with more than I intended cos there is always one of those that I wanted & that's loads cheaper than elsewhere Come out stocked up with supplies”
“Poundland in Portishead is a retail haven that provides a straightforward and convenient shopping experience. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly staff, the convenience of parking, and its ideal location within the town. The standout feature of this Poundland store is undoubtedly the welcoming staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and helpful assistance. Their courteous and friendly demeanor not only made the shopping experience enjoyable but also left a positive impression. Moreover, the parking facilities at this location are a definite advantage. There's ample space for shoppers, which greatly reduces the stress of finding a parking spot, a common challenge in many retail areas. The convenience of easy and accessible parking is a significant perk when you're on a shopping mission. The store's location in the heart of Portishead is another notable attribute. It's strategically situated, making it easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. Whether you're running a quick errand or planning a shopping trip, Poundland's central location within the town simplifies the process. In conclusion, Poundland in Portishead offers a friendly and accessible shopping environment. The welcoming staff, convenient parking, and prime location within the town all contribute to a pleasant and hassle-free shopping experience. It's a go-to spot for those seeking affordability without compromising on quality, and I'll definitely be returning for my future shopping needs.”

“Useful car park - no longer limited to 3 hours and plenty of 7kW chargers on level B2 (but need to log on to Waitrose WiFi to connect PodPoint app). Store has a good range of groceries and household items. Self-service and staffed checkouts.”
