“I would highly recommend The coffee shop. I've visited many times for lunch during a dog walk. There is a good choice of food to suit most people's taste. My favourite food at the moment is the fish finger sandwich. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Popular with my dog who loves visiting for a doggy treat.”

“We visited with our 16 year old granddaughter who’s interested in HMP’s and about to make career choices. She, and we, loved this cafe. The two men who served us were very polite and friendly, the service and food quality were excellent, a very memorable brunch stop off. We will definitely visit again”

“Well cooked full breakfast. Bacon, poached eggs, nice and soft, baked beans, mushrooms well cooked and had pepper added. Hashbrown was tasty. Toast was nice as well, on white bread. Came with a premium sausage which was nice however they had run out on my other visit and had the standard sausage which I wasn't do keen on. Would give it a 4 star with these sausages. Tea was very nice with a pot of Devon tea which filled 2 cups. Would I go back - yes”

“Beautiful little hidden gem located in the heart of Cheddar Gorge, found it accidentally, looking for a quick meal with my family. Choosed the cheese sharing platter for two with tea. Just amazing. Served in real quality Porcelain, and the platter was amazing! Three of us couldn't finish it. Service from the manager needs a little bit of polishing but overall 5 star.”

“Fantastic cafe, great food at a good price and really lovely staff. Simon was exceptionally good with all the customers, even finding a bear eye mask for a little boy who came in with his Mum. The young man who served me was very friendly and the young lady looked up an said goodbye as I left - rare to find such lovely staff these days. I highly recommend this cafe and I especially recommend the huge custard slices!”

“Had a great time staying here! The owner, Sharon and Glyn, were super welcoming right from when I arrived and made me feel right at home. The room was exactly as advertised - clean, comfortable, and equipped with good WiFi. Even though it's on a main road, the room was surprisingly quiet. The whole place was clean and tidy, and I loved having the dining area with a microwave, kettle, and fridge to use. Breakfast was simple but good with cereals, bread, tea, coffee, and juice available. All in all, a really comfy and hassle-free stay. Would definitely recommend!”

“I had a mac n cheese bowl and one of their many ridiculous matcha flavours (hot matcha with caramel). It was all very delicious and the staff are lovely. Had a seat in the corner. It is a bit noisy and is mostly 2 seater tables, not loads of comfy seating. I did go at a busy time.”

“We generally stop at this little cafe when we do our local food shopping in North Street. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is pretty prompt. There's inside & outside seating and you can usually find a table. The coffee is reliably good. We sometimes have brunch/lunch and have always enjoyed eating here. The menu changes periodically and whilst there's no 'traditional' breakfast, the choices are always interesting. Food is freshly prepared, hot & tasty and usually has lots of fresh herbs. Sausage rolls are good too!”

“Very good coffee. If you are having the coffee in I confirm that it is served in porcelain cups (I confirm that because some previous reviews may suggest that is not the case and actually nearly put us off going to this cafe. Luckily we decided to try it anyway). We were very pleased with our cappuccinos and particularly enjoyed the custard pies (custard in filo pastry) which were warmed for us and cut up into manageable bites. Nice friendly staff - good atmosphere. We will certainly return.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lunch well spent! Stopped by Heather’s Café on my lunch break after calling through an order for a jacket potato — and it was ready and waiting when I arrived! Super convenient and perfect timing. The potato itself was generously filled and came with a decent-sized side salad, which was a nice touch. Tasty, satisfying, and great service. Will definitely be back!”
