“5 stars for will excellent service goes an extra mile to keep everyone happy, and lovely sandwiches ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Drinks were okay, staff were friendly and polite, it cost you £1.50 for a cup that you can reuse”
“Staff are friendly and efficient and don't rush you. Coffees are very nice. Toilets are clean. Surprisingly big inside and plenty of seating options. Can get a little loud around school finishing time.”
“Great coffee, good food, love the cozy vibes this place has. Very comfortable.”
“Great place to have a coffee. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. Can't fault anything. Easy listening blues music on the mornings. Customer loyalty cards also a bonus for regulars. Shift and Terry love it.”
“really good coffee and great breakfast options 10/10”
“Lovely selection of cakes. My daughter said the chocolate brownie was the best she had ever tried, very fudgey. The bakewell slice was really good with such a lovely flavour of almond. I bought to takeaway!!!!”
“It was a brilliant experience at Agape House Cafe. A warm and friendly welcome by the proprietors made us feel at home. The food was fresh and delicious. In addition, the presentation and atmosphere were top notch. You left an excellent impression of Bristol on a first-time visit.”
“Great little place if you're looking for a value nights sleep. Everything you need and far enough out of town to be peaceful”
“Posting reviews is not a habit for me but, just occasionally, it seems necessary. I have just seen a negative comment about Dexter's here, which deserves to be highlighted because it is really so wrong. Dexter's is a fine coffee shop, with a dedicated owner, loyal staff, and many regular and satisfied customers like me. The negative comment is really destructive. The writer, shining her London coffee credentials in truly pompous fashion, weighs in on the owner, the quality of the coffee, the uniqueness of her terrible experience compared to the normal welcome she experiences elsewhere, and ends by telling us all to avoid at all costs. So, first to correct the narrative. Dexter's, in five years of trading in this part of Bath, has brought a community to life. It is a meeting point and a place for conversation, a place where good things in life are celebrated, and not so good things are comforted. The coffee is sourced from a reputable local roastery, Extract and the owner knows precisely what her clientele need, which is really good coffee and light snacks, delivered consistently in a great atmosphere. But she is balancing a complex community; the shop is welcoming to owners and dogs, walkers and cyclists, people working and meeting. To keep all of us happy, and her business running, she has to be a manager and a diplomat. She does it brilliantly. Sometimes, people do push things a bit. Cyclists, like me, might lay a bike across the window; or someone may bring their lunch from somewhere else and spread it out for an hour whilst working and drinking one coffee. All without asking. Luckily such things are rare, and nearly always no offence was ever intended, but it is necessary to point out a problem, put it right and carry on. But of course there is always a reviewer out there who, if crossed, feels the power to write a review which slams not one thing, but everything about an establishment. And in doing so, the reviewer shows herself to be a righteously indignant huffer and puffer. Dexter's is great, so is the coffee and the company. Do not avoid. Unless that is, you are one of those negative reviewers who delights in trying to destroy small and valuable businesses. By all means please, you, stay away. See you at Dexter's everyone else!!”
“Superb coffee as always. The staff were 1st class. All were very friendly with speedy service. Considering it was Armistice day, and full of veterans, the place was very chirpy and superb service. One of the best coffee in Clevedon by far.”
“well where to start, I asked coffee at lyde to cater for my event that I had at the community centre hall and they did absolutely amazing the food was delicious and all of it went down a treat with my guests they all kept saying how delicious it was, coffee at lyde also opened the bar up for my event and again went above and beyond to make sure there was alcohol there that my guest would enjoy so I just want to say a huge thankyou to kelly and her amazing team HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you have an event or party go and book coffee at lyde for the amazing food and beverages we had 100 people at our event and coffee at lyde was absolutely amazing”
“Great day at the Weber Grills - UK barbecue course. Learnt a lot, ate even more! Steak, pork and beer can chicken was lovely with sweet potatoes and brocolli sides. Really enjoyed the mushroom risotto and chocolate molten puddings on the bbq too. Very friendly team, thank you.”
“We absolutely love this little family run coffee hut on the seafront. We visit it all the time when we're there. The coffees and hot chocolates (especially their seasonal specials) are fantastic and the fresh cakes are delicious!!! Their little seating area is just so cute too! We love it there and highly recommend it to anyone popping down to the seafront.”
“I stayed in Room Number 7. Make sure you receive the door code for the main door before you arrive. My mobile for some reason didn't receive this. After a phone call to explain, this was then sent again which I received. There were no staff on site on arrival, I found my key on the table and went hunting for the room. The room was at the top with a lovely view of the castle. The room had everything I needed, however it would have been great to have had a hairdryer to use. I didn't meet any staff until the last day for breakfast which they kindly opened up and provided as was only guest at this point. Chepstow is lovely and is well worth a visit.”
“I come here for a coffee break from work and find the atmosphere to be friendly and relaxed. It isn't costly and the food menu looks like great value. I didn't buy food this time but they do have a very good value vegetarian option.”
“This is the best Customer Service I have had in a long while! Lucy made the drinks perfectly, whilst Nicole was so friendly, told us of offers we didn’t know about, and whilst clearing the tables made sure I was pleased with everything. Also told us about the app and their Instagram page she was doing for them! I commented on how happy she was and she said she absolutely loves her job, I said she is made for hospitality and that if Nicole isn’t a store Manager she should be! Such lovely people! Made my day! Also the store itself is very clean, well organised and presented, you can see it is a matter of personal pride for her! There is a lift at the back of the shop, free parking, huge windows to overlook the area, and comfy seats. The toilets are at the back of the store behind the lift. Really enjoyed my visit and would go again just for the cheerful ambience which is pretty rare nowadays! So nice to see someone loving their work too! Actually went back in later in the day (so twice) after looking around the other shops! Well done Nicole, Lucy, and Costa for hiring them! :)”
“Very convenient location. 10-minute walk to departures (even with suitcase), and felt very safe even at 3am. Check-in instructions were clear and accurate, and no issues with room. The fan by the bedside was a good touch.”
“Lovely clean accommodation. Good city location. Staff are very welcoming. We have a large self catering room with a view of Green Park.”
“We went for lunch on a Thursday. Staff were amazingly friendly and the service was very good. The waitress was a little flustered with our order but as it's a new establishment I wasn't expecting 1st class service. We sat near the "kitchen" and the female chef making pancakes was very chatty and helpful in telling us about the difference between all the pancakes/crepes. The drinks arrived quite quickly, the coffee was nice but the hot chocolate needs refining as it really doesn't hit home which is a shame when you focus so much on sweet things. We were also given 4 sugar sachets for 3 large drinks. The food was great but nothing stood out which again is a shame as it means you could get something similar somewhere else. Topping were fresh and a perfect match with each other. Maybe a pancake speciality like Yanto's Pancake or a souffle pancake. It's just missing that wow factor. However for a cafe it's great and as I said the staff are just a step above. I'm giving 5 stars purely because of the staff and atmosphere. I would recommend this place to people as a local lunch spot for sure.”
“Changed owners in January 2024 and is now called Madison's. Food excellent.”
“Always friendly staff, nice atmosphere and can just go in and chill out with food/drink for couple of hours!”
“Amazing. Usually with these they are the same. This one is great. My parents are frequent customers and on my visit today they were great. Chris is what customer service standards should be measured against. Great with my kids. Accommodating, conversational and great at what he does. By far the best place for a something to eat or drink in thornbury.”
“Really excellent service by the staff. Clean, busy but got served in timely manner. Good flexibility with my order”
“Great coffee place with a wide range of different drinks. Absolutely love their white hot chocolate. Unlike a lot of modern coffee places (like Costa or Starbucks), this has a great local community feel. They got a community board and do various things. Also, their rewards app is awesome.”
“One of the best Coffee#1 branches in the south west. After visiting at least 15 branches, I can say that this one stands out because of its interior design and attention to detail. Hot chocolate was superb with a good taste and the right amount of milk. Plenty of natural light inside and 2 toilets. It has a terrace outdoors too to enjoy sunny days.”
“I had an amazing experience at Costa, thanks to the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I was served by George who made sure I felt welcome and provided excellent service. The coffee was perfectly brewed! Highly recommend visiting Costa, especially if you get to see George!”
“Staff are so friendly and nice particularly Kirsty who was so kind and helpful whilst also being really hard working. I used to work for Costa so know the job isn't easy but this costa has the best atmosphere of any I've ever been too, will definitely return. Thank you so much again Kirsty!”
“Lovely visit today. Jacob was warm and welcoming despite having a long queue and doing multiple tasks at once to ensure service was swift. He wished me a happy birthday too when i asked to redeem my birthday gift. His colleague was also working hard to make everything as fast as possible. I hope they don’t have to work at that pace all day!! Anyhow well done chaps, you are doing a fab job together and i will come again for a lovely coffee.”
“Very beautiful spot and a great view. The moka was delicious, the food was good too. There only a few tables tho so you might not get the one with the view”
