“I ordered Tarka Daal, Chicken Korma, Rice & Cucumber Raita & Papadoms. The korma was perfectly flavoured, daal was a lovely thick consistency with garlic which was absolutely delicious. Excellent quality & great value for the price.”
“Came here tonight for a meal with my partner. Everything was perfect down the service and food. Can recommend the butter chicken, it was lovely. The server was also very friendly and polite and made us feel very welcome”
“Honestly the best Indian I've ever had. Completely delicious everytime, always new flavours and stuff to try. Always in good time and piping hot when it arrives as well as being very reasonably priced. Hands down my favourite takeaway!!!”
“My favourite takeaway! All the dishes we tried so far are delicious! I am a beginner when it comes to spicy food, but they accommodated my request for mild, so I was able to enjoy the taste! Love love love the food! Delivery is quick and courteous! Thank you ☺️ Favourite so far is the okra and the aubergine!”
“Went here as part of a group from work. Staff were all friendly and welcoming with the restaurant clean and tidy. The menu has a great variety of dishes and the food was served quickly - even with all eight of us ordering different mains, rices and breads - and was hot and fresh. The hot towels at the end of the meal were also a very welcome addition!”
“Quite a dark restaurant but I liked it - it set a really nice tone. Food was very flavourful and we really enjoyed eating here. I recommend some kulfi after...a really nice sweet treat after your dinner. :)”
“Early evening meal with old friends at Ganesha. It’s a place I used to frequent many years ago when dosas were the big draw on the menu. Ganesha is under new management and the menu now favours the Tandoor and is probably better overall. Very polite and attentive service, clear advice on the order, food came quickly and was bang on. I had the chilli chicken starter followed by a fragrant lamb curry called Gosht Nilgri, gorgeous. Sides were ghee rice and a naan. My cholesterol is probably off the scale but, wow, what lovely meal! I put three stars for atmosphere because we ate early and there was only one other small group in the place.”
“We came here after reading a few recommendations, and they were absolutely right! We had the vegetable pakora and the lamb chops for starters, paneer chilli masala, lamb five jewels, pilau rice and kulcha nann. It was all very fresh and super flavourful, the meat was tender, can't fault this meal. Plenty of choice for both carnivores and vegetarians. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back!”
“Eaten here a number of times and the food is excellent (both eat in and take away). Staff attentive and nothing bad to say about the place - EXCEPT when you order a King Prawn Vindaloo as a takeout and pay the price that they charge - I really do expect more than 4 (being generous here) King Prawns in there, stop padding it out with potatoes and add the prawns that should be in there. Please @The Raj - stop scrimping As a follow up 3 weeks later. Informed the restaurant about the lack of prawns. Owner very apologetic, matter rectified and five stars now given. Great service and great food”
“Went out for a 60th birthday celebration, we had a buffet style meal in the function room which was spacious. There were a good selection of curry’s and sides available as well as a few desserts ranging from watermelon to cakes and rice pudding. Lovely friendly atmosphere there and the staff were great.”
“If you are looking for good and very reasonably priced food this is the place to go.”
“Tried the Christmas dinner buffet today, and it was so good. The food wasn’t oily and it did not have any colouring agent as you would find in most restaurants. The parathas were made to order and they had the authentic Tamil Nadu paratha taste. The fish puttu and rava laddu were an added bonus. Would recommend this place highly if you want to try authentic Tamil Nadu food. The price is really affordable as well!”
“The food would have been very good like it always has been in restaurant but spoiled by the Just Eat courier.. as arrived very late, rude attitude and the food was crushed like it had been dropped or stood on or both… inedible. Recommend you order directly from the restaurant… they were as helpful as they could be with our problem… telling us to contact Just Eat to get a refund.. except it is really hard to contact them so can only message… took 4 days to tell us our order had arrived because code had been given… umm not the problem?!… and refund of inedible food was dismissed. Contacted them again and told quickly this time our complaint was still dismissed. Customer service as bad as couriers! Don’t use Just Eat!! Do use the restaurant!”
“Authentic and delicious food. Definitely, i recommend to order the lamb karahi, if you've not had one before.”
“First time trying this place, amazing food, we will definitely be back for sure and make this our local Indian! Delivery driver was really really lovely and friendly, made the experience great! Chef - thank you for the onion Bhaji’s and the lovely note on them too, you’ve really made someone’s day with your kindness. Great overall experience and can’t get over how friendly the staff/driver was. Highly recommend! Thank you guys for your service!!!!!”
“My go to for Indian takeaways when in this part of Bristol. Tasty, good portions, friendly service and fast delivery.”
“Ordered from this place twice now and each time it's been one of the best takeaway curries I've ever eaten. Massive portion sizes, cheap prices (order through the website, it's more expensive on uber eats) and the curry and the meat is so fresh and juicy. Honestly, delicious.”
“Went here with a 16 strong group of cyclists Fantastic food. Served in good time! Very helpful staff too And they didn’t have our pants down with the price.”
“The best Indian restaurant in town. The food, whether eaten in or taken away, is consistently excellent. The only slight niggle on takeaways is that their estimated timings can be a tad optimistic. Given the quality of the food on its arrival, this is minor and easily forgiven.”
“In the last year it has been opened we have been to Msala library probably four or five times, during summer or winter, eat in, take away or in the terrace it has never disappointed. What I love about it is how fresh the food feels in your mouth and how ungreasy it is. Besides the undoubted quality of the food, I really appreciate how humble and friendly the hosts and personnel are. I'm really so glad Msala is round the corner from us!”
“Best Indian I have ever had, so tasty and so much of it! Rice was beautiful and so was the curry. Popadoms cooked to perfection. My go to place for an Indian from now on. Staff were friendly and welcoming.”
“Called in on way back from a trip on a Friday evening. Place was empty apart from one table but people back and fore collecting takeaways. Waiter service was very friendly and efficient. We opted for a starter and main and both were the perfect portion size and delicious. I tried the house red wine and this too was fab. We definitely recommend this restaurant, and would return again. There’s just an couple of observations, the interior could do with a little refresh as a bit dated, I would have the bar and reception near the door with a settee for people collecting orders to wait. That would save them walking all through the restaurant which I imagine is a pain when the place is full. The background music was on a loop, seemed to be the same song playing over and over which was a bit annoying by the time we ready to leave. Overall though a pleasant experience and would return, food is fabulous”
“Great taste. All the dishes were super. Lamb curry was perfect. Highly recommended.”
“Awesome Indian food. We had the dhansak, the palak paneer kofta and some dal tadka. Everything tasted great. We will be back soon.”
“Never disappoints, amazing food , lovely staff , our favourite curry house”
“Service is really good here-- staff were very friendly and quick to serve us. The menu is good and they were flexible with us when we wanted some slightly off menu things! The value was pretty good. Poppadoms, a starter, main, naan, rice, and beer all came to around £30 each which is cracking value. Nice restaurant- quite a 'modern' feel. Gone a bit far though-- the lighting was weirdly dark. A woman on the table next to us got a torch out to read the menu. Overall delightful, and I'd come again if I was in the area.”
“Breakfast buffet was excellent, enjoyed a lot. Hand authentic south indian food after long time.”
“I have enjoyed their takeaways for ages and so I decided to take my parents there for their birthdays. The food was amazing as always and the staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome. They went the extra mile for the birthday couple which I really appreciate. I would highly recommend it.”
“We had a really lovely time tonight at Joy Raj. We felt very warmly welcome and the food was delicious! We were served by Shabs, who was attentive and great to chat with. Would definitely recommend for both dining in (very cosy) and takeaway!”
“Delicious food, attentive staff. The highlight for me was the peshwaari naan, the bread is good but the filling was sweet and plentiful.”
