“Called in on way back from a trip on a Friday evening. Place was empty apart from one table but people back and fore collecting takeaways. Waiter service was very friendly and efficient. We opted for a starter and main and both were the perfect portion size and delicious. I tried the house red wine and this too was fab. We definitely recommend this restaurant, and would return again. There’s just an couple of observations, the interior could do with a little refresh as a bit dated, I would have the bar and reception near the door with a settee for people collecting orders to wait. That would save them walking all through the restaurant which I imagine is a pain when the place is full. The background music was on a loop, seemed to be the same song playing over and over which was a bit annoying by the time we ready to leave. Overall though a pleasant experience and would return, food is fabulous”

“A gem of a restaurant. Located off the beaten track this great restaurant is generally busy as well known by locals for good food and great hospitality. Fairly mild dishes (that can be spiced up to taste) but full of flavour and not full of fat.”

“I'm not sure there's a better Indian takeaway in the city. Delivery arrives in tupperware, making life SO much easier. Portions are very good. Their sauces are full while enabling you to still taste the ingredients, a rarity among takeaways. But most of all the tandoori... if Bristol had a Zagat, this would qualify them for it!”

“We ordered a takeaway, for collection, last night. Made the order online in the morning nd requested a collection time for the evening, which was accepted The food was lovely! We've not been before and we will order again. The samosas were small but tasty. The onion bhajis were lovely. Hubby had a chicken dhansak which would have been far too spicy for me, but he enjoyed. My chicken and mushroom biriani was delicious. We will definitely have a takeaway again.”

“Overall pretty good experience, i went there when i was met with this guy with a round oval head going by the name "Sanjay Bennett" he kept waffling on about he's 6ft 5 when in reality he was 5ft 6, he also kept giving me toasters despite me never asking for them and budget loaves of tesco bread. he later went back inside his house and slipped up on tic tacs that had been planted there by his "Militant vegan" sister”

“Visited Lungi Babas today in Frome and, hand to God, had the best South Indian food so far in the UK. It was all home-cooked, the vibe was fantastic and the owner, Mahesh, is such a delight to talk to. We had been craving authentic Dosas, and what we were presented with was exceptionally good. For a person like me who enjoys eating as well as cooking Indian food, the food at Lungi Babas was a treat!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. If you are in Frome, do not miss out on this, as it made our day and also our trip to Frome worthwhile.”
