“VERY cool experience! The dining location itself is worth the visit! We sat at a table overlooking the river and it was beautiful!! Staff were amazing, food was great, we will most definitely go back again! We both ordered chicken curry (different kinds) and they were both amazing! Worth going to!”

“Love this restaurant. Top food. Friendly service. Highly recommended!”
“I recently ordered a takeaway from Ajwa, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary experience. The onion bhaji was a crispy revelation, bursting with flavors that danced on my taste buds. The prawn puree was a delicate masterpiece, perfectly balanced with a rich, fragrant sauce that left me craving for more. The chicken handi was a revelation, packed with succulent chunks of meat that were so generous it felt like a meat-lover's dream come true. The flavors in the handi were simply outstanding, a symphony of spices that left me in awe. What truly set this experience apart was not just the exceptional food but also the impeccable service. The staff at Ajwa went above and beyond to ensure my order was delivered promptly and with a warm smile. The presentation and packing of the food were, without a doubt, the best I've ever seen in a takeaway. Each dish was elegantly presented and securely packed, maintaining the flavors and freshness. In summary, Ajwa has set a new standard for takeout, with outstanding dishes like the onion bhaji, prawn puree, and chicken handi that left me craving for more. Their dedication to both exceptional food and customer service is truly commendable. Will order from there again!”
“2nd time for us really good food, nothing to much trouble over the phone and delivered when they said, the best use of a pizza box that doesn’t contain a pizza”
“The 4 course meal delicious and cheap. Sunday buffet best.”
“A gem of a restaurant. Located off the beaten track this great restaurant is generally busy as well known by locals for good food and great hospitality. Fairly mild dishes (that can be spiced up to taste) but full of flavour and not full of fat.”
“I have ordered food for my family and friends from this takeaway many times. I have to say that the curry's and nan bread are delicious. Probably the best in Bristol. No definitely the best in Bristol.”
“Overall pretty good experience, i went there when i was met with this guy with a round oval head going by the name "Sanjay Bennett" he kept waffling on about he's 6ft 5 when in reality he was 5ft 6, he also kept giving me toasters despite me never asking for them and budget loaves of tesco bread. he later went back inside his house and slipped up on tic tacs that had been planted there by his "Militant vegan" sister”
“Not your standard Indian, some fresher herb flavour and lovely meat and veg. Feels a little more home cooked. Very good take away 3 nights in a row!”
“Dinner was elegant — a true five-star experience.”
“Very comfortable and tidy to sit inside or outside with family. The, staff are respectful, responsive and friendly caring Moreover food is fresh and delicious hence the rating”
“I'm not sure there's a better Indian takeaway in the city. Delivery arrives in tupperware, making life SO much easier. Portions are very good. Their sauces are full while enabling you to still taste the ingredients, a rarity among takeaways. But most of all the tandoori... if Bristol had a Zagat, this would qualify them for it!”
“Fantastic experience in the lounge. The meal was delicious, and the drinks selection was genuinely impressive. Dawid and the team made me feel looked after from start to finish, and the atmosphere was exactly what you want when you are unwinding. Highly recommend for great service and quality drinks.”
“A very modern clean takeaway in heart the of Bedminster. The Food was incredibly tasty, great value for money friendly service . The best Indian food I've ever had - I order from here every time. The service is always impeccable, can't fault this place. would highly recommend it to anyone. Can guarantee you will love it.”
“Just had a delivery and the food was lovely, delivery a little later than expected but it is a Sat eve so not too bothered by that, had special mixed Masala, it was fantastic, full of flavour, other half had a madras and said it was nice, will definitely be ordering again”
“We ordered a takeaway, for collection, last night. Made the order online in the morning nd requested a collection time for the evening, which was accepted The food was lovely! We've not been before and we will order again. The samosas were small but tasty. The onion bhajis were lovely. Hubby had a chicken dhansak which would have been far too spicy for me, but he enjoyed. My chicken and mushroom biriani was delicious. We will definitely have a takeaway again.”
“Fantastic food & service in a great location. One of the best Indian Restaurants I've visited in Bristol. Will definitely be coming back sometime.”
“We visited on Thursday evening for a special dinner to celebrate somellier Roberto being name in the Top 100 Somelliers in the UK at #27. As you would expect the wines were great and complemented the wonderful food perfectly. Prithvi is the #1 restaurant in Cheltenham for good reason.”
“After countless trips to Bath over the years, I can't believe I only just discovered Sushmita — and what a discovery it was! This place is an instant favourite and will now be a must-visit on every future trip. They serve authentic Odia and Bengali food, and every single dish we tried was a comforting, flavourful delight. The Chingri Chop, Lollipop, and Mutton Kosha were all outstanding, prepared with so much heart. It's honestly hard to pick a favourite because everything was just that good. The ambience is simple yet so warm. It truly felt like stepping into someone’s home. And speaking of homely, Bineeta was the cherry on the cake. Her warmth, and genuine hospitality turned a great meal into a memorable experience. She was a one man army truly! ❤️ If you're in Bath and craving something soulful, warm, and beautifully cooked — look no further. Highly, highly recommend to anyone who loves Odia/Bengali cuisine or just good food made with love. Thank you, Sushmita, for such a lovely experience. See you again very soon!”
“We had the most amazing food for a party we were hosting. We tried a mix of dishes including Pad Thai, Paneng, Beef Massaman and Thai Green curry and they were all piping hot, delicious and full of flavour. Liaised with Adam who was extremely helpful, friendly and went out of their way to provide food for 21 people. I was recommended and I am so impressed and will definitely be coming back - thanks so much!”
“First time eating here and it was delicious. Excellent flavour. I went for lunch and it was £4.99 for chicken wrap (porotta). Whilst the size was perfect for me (on the small size) others might want something else to go with it. The porotta was perfection - crispy but flaky. Not had one like this in years. Person serving me was super lovely, chatty, friendly. Will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu and spreading the word.”
“This place is a hidden gem!! We aren’t local and had to charge our car at a petrol station half a mile away, so decided to get some dinner. We chose Soyful’s Kitchen, not knowing what to expect. The location is.. different, but once you’re through the corridor and at the door, it’s beautiful. Seeing as we had some time to kill, we decided on the 5 course tasting menu…. Oh my gosh, the food is AMAZING! It’s fine dining Indian cuisine, with lots of attention to detail with the flavours and presentation. We highly recommend this place. Thank you so much Soyful’s Kitchen, we had a great experience with you and we’re leaving very full! Wishing you all the best in the future! Charlie x”
“Pros Best place Near to clifton Delicious indian food Limited menu Best ambience - but we asked for sofa and we did not get it as they told all are booked, and most of them are empty and waiting to be filled with prior reservations . Cons Prior reservation recommended Little overpriced- but as location and ambience is sensible”
“Absolutely unreal, easiest the best Indian I’ve had in the uk. The monkfish starter was packed with fish and brilliant value for money. And the lamb shank was to die for the bone just slid out. Also great value for money as it comes with rice and naan!”
“I ordered Chicken Tikka and Chicken Madras today to takeaway today... Both were freshly prepared within only 15 minutes. The taste was fantastic, so i can only recommend this to every indian food lover!!!”
“Nadu in Bristol was fantastic. The aubergine pickle was a real standout, so good I’d go back just for that. The dosa was perfectly crisp, the Chettinad chicken full of spice and flavor, and the lamb korma rich and comforting. Great food, relaxed vibe and definitely worth a visit.”
