“A really pleasant and well run guest house/B&B. It is a 15 minute walk into Bath centre but sits close to wonderful parks and country. There are also bar, restaurant and convenient shopping facilities nearby. The room was spacious with a really nice bathroom, luxurious linen and towels. Very, very clean. really made to feel welcome without being intruded upon. Excellent place to stay!”
“Lovely set of cottages everything you need in the week and a SPA convenience store 3 minutes away”
“I've only stayed for one night but I was very happy with choosing this place. It is clean and the room was lovely. The staff was very nice. If ever in Bath again, I will consider staying here.”
“Room is very cozy and comfortable! A house is super lovely and peaceful. Me and my mum love it here. Scone is also very delicious. Caron is a very nice host and helpful. The location is near Castle Combe and Lacock Abbey, so it’s very convenient!”
“We stayed here for one night as we were travelling down south for a wedding. Communication with Pauline was fabulous and the room was absolutely lovely with everything we needed and there was also a kitchen area and a lounge area where you could get tea and coffee. Bed was very comfy and room was very cool which was needed as it was very hot outside. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful and the perfect pit stop for us. We would definitely recommend.”
“Lovely campsite. Just the basics, but done really well. Site was immaculate and beautifully done, with short grass around the edge for camping and long grass in the middle of the field for wildlife. Saw various birds of prey, including a barn owl. Lovely walks with steam trains, great views, rivers and plenty of pubs along route. Already looking forward to visiting again!”
“We had our company Christmas meal here. The Xmas menu was great and the food amazing. Ashley and Freya were fantastic and looked after us all evening. Fantastic value for money.”
“Homewood hosted our wedding in August this year (2025) and I couldn’t praise them enough. Lucie, our events manager, was incredible and supported us so much throughout all the planning. The weekend of the wedding, the team were incredible, nothing was too much to ask and they really looked after us and all our guests. It really was the perfect venue for us and we cannot wait to go back each year for our anniversary. Thank you so much Homewood team, you really helped make our wedding day perfect! “We had a wonderful 2 night stay at your hotel. Hotel was great, staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Location was great. Bus stop at the bottom of the drive which every bus went into city centre. Thank you to all the staff.”
“6/5 All. Day. Long! Royal treatment from arrival to departure. It’s the little things - name placard on door, beautifully presented gifts on the bed, warm welcomes from every single staff member, gorgeous grounds and perfect cocktails and a lovely breakfast made this stay absolutely incredible. Walk everywhere (ok … downhill - but then just Uber up!) I felt bathed in luxury the entire time I was there. Large, well appointed rooms. Luxurious bed and bedding! And, very serene. Go live your own Bridgerton moment! You deserve it.”

“Lunch for four. All of our meals were really good quality and generous. Nice selection of fresh vegetables. Friendly service. Varied menu. Could not fault. Will return.”
“Lovely little pub in a sleepy village on the outskirts of Bath. My partner and I stayed for one night and it felt really homely and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The bed was so comfy too! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.”
“Amazing. Our room was lovely. Staff were lovely (thanks Noah in the bar). Perfectly located for everywhere. Lovely breakfast. I wish the walled garden had been promoted a little more as we didn't know it was there. Lovely free standing bath in our bathroom. Super fluffy towels. Lots of lovely little lounges to sit in and free tea/coffee and newspapers. I begrudge paying to park”
“A last minute online search for a hotel resulted in a wonderful but brief stay at Harington's. Beautifully clean room with charming, quirky decor. Extremely comfortable bed with quality bedlinen. Very peaceful at night with no noise from the street. In the morning a delicious breakfast, cooked fresh to order with good coffee. Super service from all staff, especially the lady on reception as I arrived very late in the evening and she sent me two texts with information and to make sure I was on my way. I will definitely return and recommend to others. Only slight downside was the lack of black out blinds as the street lights did come through the curtains.”
“Very nice cafe. Really nice breakfast. We will definitely come here again. Clean and tidy place throughout.”
“We stayed in a triple room with a private bathroom on the first floor. A very cozy place, very clean and with a very good breakfast. The area where the hotel is located is beautiful and just a few minutes from the center of Bath. Very good willingness to serve customers on the part of the place managers.”
“An absolutely fantastic venue and staff! My daughter got Married here in December & we couldn’t have asked for more! Everything was perfect & the staff did a marvellous job through the weekend! A special mention to Jenna who braved the rain with drinks while the last photos were taken! You’re a star!!”
“Cosy local pub with very friendly staff. We enjoyed the food, and can highly recommend the fish and chips. Everything felt home made. Recommended”
“Staff were amazing. Breakfast was excellent. A great variety including for vegetarians. Bed very comfortable. Beautiful lounge. If ever I'm back in Bath I will definitely stay here.”
“Extremely friendly and professional staff. Only serve breakfast but it is a perfect and filling breakfast. Our room was wheelchair friendly. Thank you for a great stay!!”
“Me and a small group of mates went a couple of months back and I forgot to write a review. But it was great the staff were lovely and Chris made sure our booking in went smoothly. Nice and quiet campsite, of course there’s no power etc but it’s lovely and peaceful, definitely will be looking at going back!”
“Fantastic Value! Christina is a gem - from booking to check out she was easy to contact and work with. When we were going to be on a tour prior to the time of breakfast, she packed us a wonderful to go bag with breakfast AND lunch items. While on the subject of food, breakfast starts with fresh fruit on your table. Then Christina comes by asking tea or coffee and offering croissants. There are cereals and yogurts on a side table and Christina also offers hot cooked to order breakfast along with toast. She made sure we knew about the best tourist activities as well. Our room was spacious enough with a comfortable bed and a nice closet and bureau for clothing. The bathroom was small, but that's to be expected given the age of the building. I highly recommend Christina and The Henry Guest House.”
“First class, we received excellent service, from the bar to the restaurant. We were well looked after, the wine was excellent and the food delicious, can recommend the sea bass as well as the lamb. The food was cooked to order and arrived hot. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, we will dine here again.”
“Location is secluded and private yet central. Perfect accommodations for sightseeing and relaxation. The location is quiet away from the very loud buskers but just around the corner from the top spa of the area, the cathedral and the Roman Baths. Apartment 5 was newly renovated, very clean, with plentiful soft towels, comfortable beds, blackout shades and a large assortment of cowshed bath products. Lovely modern bathroom with in floor heating, freestanding bathtub and glass enclosed shower. Felt like a touch of luxury for a surprisingly low rate per night. Only negative would be 1MB internet not strong enough for video or audio calls. But who comes to Bath to sit inside of the internet? We appreciated having guest laundry facilities available in the courtyard. Top notch hospitality and communication from all the staff. We will stay here again.”
“I stayed here for 2 weeks whilst working in Bath. Beautiful setting, rooms are very spacious and homely. The staff couldn't have done more to make our stay better. I will definitely return for a stay with the Family! Thanks to all at Waterhouse!”
“We were so surprised to have found this amazing gem of a place to stay. It is more like a boutique bed and breakfast (minus having to get up for the breakfast because they just give you a basket of food that is well stocked and replenished each day so you can eat whenever you feel like it - loved that!). There were a lot of nice details put into refurbishing the rooms so that there was no mold smell at all, despite being over 300 years old! The furnishing and decor were wonderful with an incredibly comfortable bed. I can't say enough about the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff, Marie was awesome! They do little things like welcoming you in advance of your stay to make you feel invited and thought of, and there are real people to respond to you when you write back. They respond immediately with a lot of help with any questions you ever have. AND it is in a great part of Bath, really easy walking distance to everything! When I 'googled' the street, it looked a little funky and maybe not very nice, but it was not that way at all, it's a great street! This has been the best place we've stayed thus far in England with a great price for what you get. I can't recommend it enough!”
“It's a beautiful cottage, well maintained. The staff is very friendly. It's got a homey feel to it. Breakfast was very tasty, homemade foods. We stayed for two nights. Rooms were very clean and the sheets/towels smelled so fresh! It was a wonderful experience :)”
“Well equipped and comfortable cottages set in beautiful countryside. Local amenities in the nearby village include a pub and a good fish and chip shop.”
“This is a working farm, but the welcome is warm and rooms comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. A real homely feel.”
