“Everything about the apartment was five star. The customer service was excellent, very informative and made the whole checking in and checking out process easy. The location couldn’t be more central. You don’t even realise you’re slap bang in the middle of a city centre as it’s still really peaceful. The apartment itself is immaculate. It’s spacious, luxurious, and had the best terrace with the most incredible view over the cathedral and hills in the distance. You get so much more for your money than you ever would in a hotel. I will definitely be booking again.”

“Really great service and food in a lovely location. Mid-size hotel in beautiful old classic Cotswold manor house. Nice gardens for a stroll. Very relaxing as is surrounded by farmers fields. Small plates restaurant was v good. Particular shout-out for the service which was friendly and welcoming.”

It’s the little things - name placard on door, beautifully presented gifts on the bed, warm welcomes from every single staff member, gorgeous grounds and perfect cocktails and a lovely breakfast made this stay absolutely incredible. Walk everywhere (ok … downhill - but then just Uber up!) I felt bathed in luxury the entire time I was there. Large, well appointed rooms. Luxurious bed and bedding! And, very serene. The weekend of the wedding, the team were incredible, nothing was too much to ask and they really looked after us and all our guests. “We had a wonderful stay! We originally booked a standard room but were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the best suite in the hotel — and the hospitality was truly exceptional from start to finish. There were lovely little touches waiting for us when we arrived, and when we returned from dinner, we found a thoughtful box of cheeses, the curtains drawn, and the bed beautifully prepared for the night. The hotel’s location is very central, which meant it could be a little busy and noisy at times, but the mattress was so comfortable that we still had one of the best nights of sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel! We also booked massage treatments and spent time enjoying the spa facilities — both were absolutely amazing. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay special. It was such a memorable experience, and we’ll definitely return when visiting Bath again — or perhaps try one of their other properties elsewhere.”

“Spent a wonderful week at Cheddar Woods, the cabins were clean and well equipped for a self catering stay, including dishwasher and washing machine. We had a hot tub, which was wonderful and hot, and a fake fire place which heats up quickly. The heating and hot water was brilliant, as was the water pressure. There was a heated pool, which again was clean and open mornings and afternoon. There was walks, and Cheddar Gorge is close by. We took a walk down, but take the longer route as it has a path! The staff were friendly, it was great for kids they have a little arcade with cheap £1 rides and a playground outside the restaurant. We didn’t eat in there, but the food looked good. I recommend the fresh milk from the shop, it is delicious. It is a great location, and in beautiful woods. We will be back!”

“Divine hotel. Being greeted by the lovely Annabelle made us feel right at home. Perfect after a long coach journey. The beautifully decorated restaurant was spotless. Location is perfect + Bristol is very walkable. Room: Other reviews state rooms were small, I would advise going for the superior or deluxe options, as the price difference is modest and will be absolutely worth it. We stayed in the deluxe suite which it was generous for two people. Our room was facing the street and I didn't hear any noise. Spa: I had a nice chat with Nellie who was very accommodating at the spa reception. Steam, sauna, hydrotherapy pool and a spacious jacuzzi with 4 different settings - exactly what you need after a long day exploring the lively, eventful Bristol. I like how the spa doesn't get crowded because everyone books their slot. And finally... Lucy ensured a smooth checkout and kept our bags safe while we explored on our last day. I have been visiting Ellie at the face spa regularly for facials and massages for at least 2 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Today was my first visit ‘post lockdown’ and I booked in for a facial and her brand new full body bath ritual - as expected - it was incredible!! The salon was immaculate and Ellie has clearly thought very carefully about keeping everyone safe during the current pandemic, I couldn’t have been happier with every aspect of my visit! Close to the city centre everything was a stones throw a way. The pool closed the week before we came which was a little disappointing but didn’t really affect us as there was plenty in the area to do. Thanks to the Holland House team for making our weekend so amazing.”
