“Went down a couple of times, lovely pub with a great potential Will and Chanelle are very welcoming . It will be an amazing pub when it’s done up . New owners have taken over can’t wait to see what it will be like after revamp . Will be back soon .”
“Saw the new offer and tired the Hotdog with Chips. Absolutely, amazing will come back soon.”
“Today my husband and i were travelling to Glastonbury. We had to wait for RAC for 4 hours and popped in to the store as we were parked up the road. The staff were amazing and even let us use the toilet.”
“Very happy with Spring Wharf. The staff are all incredibly nice and very helpful when you have any kind of issue. It's the ideal location for someone who travels a lot for work like me as you have the peace of mind that everything is being handled for you in your absence. I have recently moved out of one apartment and into another and the process was really smooth e.g. getting the deposit back, communicating with staff about the handover etc.”
“Wow I've been eating Chinese all my life and this has to be the best one I have ever had. The sweet and sour chicken just melts in your mouth. Special fried rice perfect. The only negative is the bag the delivery driver had was a bit past it definitely needs a new one but this is going to be our Chinese from now on.”
“My second visit whilst visiting Bristol from Newport. This place is epic, some items could be a bit cheaper but it's absolutely brilliant and sells everything! Items like rare Brut Musk deodorant to great blackout curtains and tea sets. It's neat and tidy and just had a simple, old school feel to it, still haven't fully explored it, looking forward to my next visit. Cafe looks simple yet decent, turning over nicely (11:30am ish).”
“This is a review of the events space (marquee). We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary in the marquee at the Swan in Swineford, September 2024. It was a great event and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had 53 guests for a three course sit down meal with welcome drinks prior to the meal, after which the tables were cleared for dancing and a DJ. We were able to discuss and tailor our menu to suit our guests and we received many compliments on the food, which was very tasty. Our family had early access to decorate the marquee with lights, table decorations and flowers which made the marquee look beautiful and created a lovely atmosphere. We were able to return the next morning to do the take-down, there was no pressure. The only strict requirements were that music had to stop by 11:00 pm (due to neighbours) and aim to have all people off site by 11:30 pm. Lee, the manager, was very approachable. He was happy to discuss our needs and was very flexible with the layout and the menu choice. We were allowed to provide our own drinks and pay corkage as well as making use of the outside pay-bar. Staff were very friendly and seemed invested in the success of the party which made it seem like a joint effort. The marquee itself is 9 meters square and has a good-sized graveled area to the side with benches which are for sole use of the function space. The marquee is set in a large garden with outside bar, children’s play area and a carpark. We would certainly recommend the swan for family and social functions. Big thanks to Lee and the whole team.”
“Best brunch in bath! Cosy and intimate cafe located right opposite the train station. I got the biscoff pancakes which were perfect if you have a sweet tooth. The portion was massive and they tasted divine. Service was lovely and the food came very quickly. Would love to come here again in the future!”
“Baan was an absolute star and made fresh filter coffee on request. Im so used to being mugged off with excuses as it's too much bother elsewhere, but he didn't even hesitate, even humoured me with a request of pouring cream rather than milk! Thanks Baan and well done on the customer service!”
“Lovely place to stop for a cuppa if visiting the Jane Austen Centre or are just walking by. We enjoyed a nice selection of teas and scones in a period setting. The team was welcoming and accommodating. Especially nice if you’d like a quieter setting for an afternoon tea. We were able to walk in, but a booking would usually be recommended.”
“Good food worth the value. fast friendly staff. Quick service too.”
“Out Saturday day drinking for a hen do. Was there from 6pm till 9pm. We sat outside on a sofa, with the DJ playing under the gazebo. Great music, Great atmosphere, the place was buzzing. Staff are friendly, served drinks to your table, cleared up quickly to remove those empty glasses. Had a great time drinking, chilling to the music and chatting.”
“We stayed for a long weekend in a family room. Clean but a bit dated. Beds were comfy but the double was 4'6! Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and some off road. Bus stop just outside with easy access to Bath. Can walk along the river too but it's quite industrialised so not pretty!”
“Ordered from here delivery although I have eaten in the restaurant before which was 10/10 for us. I wanted to write a review for the delivery as my gf and I were both extremely happy as magu seem to do it better than other burger restaurants in Bath. All of our food arrived in time, and hot!! The burgers were so delicious, I wouldn’t order for takeaway anywhere else now, cooked fresh, and you can really tell! Thanks magu team!!”
“Small but perfectly placed for kick-off. Barman knows how to make a bitter shandy.”
“Lovely staff Food was great Prices good I had Xl doner kebab it was £9 It’s worth it !”
“Great food at great prices. The staff are very nice and hardworking, the tables are spaced out and the place is well looked after. The brownie from the kinds menu is a decent size and only £1.99! Just right if you don’t have a lot of room after the main course but still fancy something sweet.”
“We had such a nice time at the café with our family. The pancakes were amazing!! Mimka was wonderful – cheerful, patient and really attentive (her suggestions were very helpful as I’m quite indecisive). She made us feel so welcome and was fantastic with my picky children at our table which made the whole visit so much easier and more enjoyable. A lovely place for families to come ❤️”
“Very lovely service from Sam, made great recommendations for drink choices when we were unsure. Told us about the new pool table that we went and tried out and had lots of fun on! Definitely will be coming back”
“My wife and I had a very good time at the Lamb and Lion this weekend and the staff were so caring and very accomadating to our needs whilst in a booth. we were watching football and darts during the course of Saturday and they were happy to change channels at our request. The food was very good and choice of drinks were great but the staff were amazing. thank you all and see you soon. Terry and Kerry”
“Lovely old style house just 5 mins walk from the Hop On Bus. Everything was to our expectations. Ideal very tasty home cooked breakfast. Peter was a wonderful host and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We would suggest getting there in the early afternoon for parking options. Our room had magnificent views of the city. Try the local Curry Mahal, great Indian”

“By far the best curry in bath. Been going for the last 15 years and not a bad meal yet. Lovely man, traditional family business, clean hygiene! Plus you can play space invaders while you wait and he stays open late. Thank you.”
“Never been here before but excellent food and quick service”
“Was looking for something local for dinner and curry mahal did not disappoint! Ordered to collect from restaurant, the owner was welcoming and chatty as we waited to our order. We got and jalfezi and shatkora which was so flavourful and unique, explains why it’s the owner’s favourite. Only regret was not sitting in, we definitely be back!”
“Absolutely loved my experience at itsu bath. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was surprisingly good! Everything felt very thoughtful and relaxing. Can’t wait to come back.”
“This is the first time, i found so delicious turkish food in this side of United Kingdom. I felt like that i am in Taksim Square, Istanbul eating my lamb shish and enjoying the sweet wind of Bosphorus. Choose your meal and take a seat next to the Pulteney Bridge. You will not regret it. :)”
“Perfect place for George’s Sunday lunch or afternoon tea. Charming staff. Excellent service and a grand location.”
“Beautiful shop and lovely, helpful staff! I really appreciated their wide range of gluten free products - I just had one of their gluten free chocolate orange friands …. I think possibly the best GF treat I’ve ever had! It is quite pricey but worth it - picked up a rewards card while we were there as I know we’ll be back! And, if you’re interested, a huge Diddly Squat section!”
