“We celebrated a special occasion as a family over the weekend, and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Attentive, friendly, and professional throughout, the staff helped make the day feel truly special. We all commented afterward on what a fantastic time we had, thanks to the perfect combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.”

“I absolutely love Bristol hippodrome. Beautiful venue, helpful staff and so brilliant being able to see West End shows. Went yesterday to see Moulin Rouge. Good bits about this show: the set was phenomenal, gorgeous sumptuous costumes,loved the elephant and the windmill. Cast vibrant,leads good. Not so good bits about this show: if you're expecting,as I did,to hear the same music from the film, then be prepared for disappointment. The songs from the film are iconic to the film and I had thought they'd keep them all. However,Lady Gaga and Katy Perry songs just didn't do it for me or my husband. We are huge fans of the film and so looked forward to this. Quite honestly,the new songs just jarred. Roxanne was the highlight for me and in the original film but too many mash ups of other songs just left me feeling disappointed. If you haven't seen the film,this is a fabulous show,if you are going as a film fan of Moulin Rouge be prepared to see it is not the same. Having said that,we are really lucky to have such a fantastic venue on our doorstep and I will continue to support it.”

“I recently visited Italb and it was great! The atmosphere was cozy. I tried the pasta and it was delicious. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the toppings were tasty. For dessert, I had tiramisu, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy some authentic Italian food! Also, I’d like to thank the staff for being so friendly and making sure everything was perfect for my birthday.☺️❤️”

“I had Sunday Roast here today with my daughter and her boyfriend. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Greeted by lovely staff, who looked after us really well throughout. “Wonderful service for a large takeaway order for 16 people with sides and rice's as well as main dishes. The service from Colin was wonderful and emails responded to promptly to order. Upon collection the team were friendly, helping us carry the order to the car and the food itself was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the chicken satay, Thai fishcakes and the massaman curry. There was also no issues in providing dietary information for a member of the party who was dairy free. Wonderful meal for our group!”

“I have been to this restaurant now on two occasions. I have travelled from Cardiff on both occasions and I can tell you that it is worth every mile of the journey. The food is absolutely delicious, divine and out of this world. The tastes and attention to detail with every dish are very impressive. The warmth, decor and ambience are first class. I made a suggestion to Juliana (multi-talented waitress who also takes great pics) that some bread would go well with the seafood platter and this was implemented on the second visit. The chef, Marcia, grew up in Brazil and her take on seafood dishes and Thai dishes is very unique. She has magic in her hands. I would highly recommend the seafood platter and Tom Yum dishes. Ask for spicy versions and enjoy. I would come here every week if I lived closer. Keep up the good work guys.”

“I had an incredible time last night at Bristol Bachata! The atmosphere was lively and filled with energy. The dancers were amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed dancing and having fun with everyone. The music was fantastic, and the instructors Jan and Paulina were so talented and supportive. It was a perfect evening of dance and enjoyment. I can't wait to come back for more! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great time dancing.”

“My favourite takeaway! All the dishes we tried so far are delicious! I am a beginner when it comes to spicy food, but they accommodated my request for mild, so I was able to enjoy the taste! Love love love the food! Delivery is quick and courteous! Thank you ☺️ Favourite so far is the okra and the aubergine!”

“Ordered from here after a recommendation from our local chippy and it was fantastic. Service was lovely, the man at the desk was super friendly and really efficient. The fact they have a large vegetarian selection including tofu is great. The food was really tasty and even though it’s an extra 20 minutes from our usual Chinese this will be our go to from now on.”

“The Priory is local to us & we have thought about booking the restaurant for quite some time, but I find it hard to try new places. We were gifted a voucher for the restaurant last Xmas, so last week we finally used it. We booked via the website & added our usual request for quiet area as ASD. I have to say I was apprehensive, but I was very impressed. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent and the staff so friendly. I felt VERY comfortable here, which for a first visit, is high praise indeed! We sat in the panel room, with dark wood panelled walls. As they were quieter on the evening we came, they gave me a choice of table, which I really appreciated! (I would book this table again in the future!) We were looked after by David, & he was great - just the right balance of attentiveness! We chose from the three course set menu and the food was delicious. Hubby had cured smoked duck to start, I had smoked ham hock and jalapeño croquettes - the duck was so tender & the croquettes crispy & melty inside. We both had the pork loin for mains, with triple cooked chips & roasted Jerusalem artichokes to share. Again, we couldn’t fault anything. The pork loin was slightly pink and melted in your mouth, the chips were amazing & the artichokes were gorgeous. A great pairing! Finally we decided on the Orange & Almond cake & the cheese board to finish, which we also shared. Again, perfection! Another point for us is, as real ale drinkers, so often you find that restaurants in hotels skip on the cask ales, but The Priory have their own pale ale as well as one of our favourites - Bath Ales, Gem! Thank you for a lovely evening, our first visit but definitely not our last.”

“Went here as part of a group from work. Staff were all friendly and welcoming with the restaurant clean and tidy. The menu has a great variety of dishes and the food was served quickly - even with all eight of us ordering different mains, rices and breads - and was hot and fresh. The hot towels at the end of the meal were also a very welcome addition!”
