“I can’t thank the staff at Highcroft enough for the care received for my beautiful Bengal cat earlier this year, who unfortunately past away minutes before I could get him there after another vet missed a fatal diagnosis only 2 weeks previously. The staff member I spoke to on the phone in this emergency knew exactly what was happening, very knowledgeable staff who were able to explain what had happened really helped me to take in and understand. Our dog was attacked by another dog and although his injuries were minimal the staff were really sympathetic and understanding. They were honest with us that he probably didn’t need to see a vet but in a very kind understanding way that didn’t make us feel like we were over reacting. They also gave us some good advise on managing our dogs interactions going forward after the attack”

“I brought my cat Ziggy for his first appointment. We was seen by Maria. The service's Maria gave ziggy was outstanding. Everything was explained clearly to me. I couldn't believe that viking vets has a separate area for cats to wait in. What a brilliant idea. Then the vet rooms. WOW they are so beautiful. Ziggy was aloud to go exploring in the room. I can honestly say I've been to other vets with ziggy and my other two cats and none of them come close to viking vets. I just want to give another massive thank you to Maria. “Our nervous dog spend 10 days with them and it is the first time ever that she stays in a Kennel and she seems the same dog when I picked her up. She didn’t loose weight or hair from the stress. They looked after her so well. They asked me lots of questions on her behaviour/likes/dislikes when she checked in and looks like she had a good time there. Will be using again from now on.”

“I took our new (very scared) rescue dog to the vets because I thought her glands needed doing. This was her first visit since we got her 5 days prior. The vet was amazing, sat on the floor with her, let her sniff around, then gave her a good check over, listened to her heart, checked her tummy, cleaned her ears and did her gland. She was very kind and the fee was also very reasonable fee”

“We were referred here by our vets as they said our dog needed very specialised surgery. We were expecting the worst, but were very pleasantly surprised when we were told things weren't as bad as we were walled to believe. Nick explained everything in detail and gave us our options and his evaluation and advised next steps. Very professional ans friendly service from the moment we walked in through the door and then met with 2 students vets who did the initial assessment and fussed our dogs, and then handed over to Nick, the specialist. “My collie was vet phobic but careful treatment and attention has made him enjoy coming! He now whines outside the door he's so eager to come in and get his monthly injections. I've also found that he's been treated as an individual, not just as a medical problem, so his own particular foibles have been taken into consideration. His treatment has been thoroughly explained, and he has been doing extremely well. I really feel that everything has been done to help him, and am very pleased to have chosen this Veterinary practice. A great service is offered with the vets building up an excellent bond with their animal patients so that they get to know them well. “Amazing pet hospital with extremely caring staff. On my last visit here it wasn't a happy encounter and it ended in the passing of my partners pet. But the way the staff handled our case and even bent the rules to allow us to come into the hospital and say our final good byes. “We had been struggling to find a solution to our dog's ongoing skin condition for over 2 years, which was significantly impacting his quality of life. We had been seeing a conventional vet trying to control it using conventional veterinary medicine, consisting of a cocktail of drugs, which seemed to be masking the symptoms rather than dealing with the problem, as well as affecting his mood and making him seem depressed. We knew about Nick the Holistic Vet from Facebnok and we were keen to try a more 'Holistic' approach, so asked to be referred by our vets. Thankfully, after our initial consultation Nick was keen to work with us as he was confident that he could help us improve our dog's quality of life. From the outset we felt that Nick was very receptive to our comments observations, and concerns and genuinely listened to us. Nick always took the time to explain things to us and was very thorough in his approach, exploring multiple avenues to ensure that we ruled out certain clinical conditions. Throughout the treatment we always felt that Nick worked with us as part of a team, so felt wholly part of the process. With Nick's guidance we put in a number of changes to our dog's diet and took care to control his internal and external environment with regards to exposure to allergens, and added in specific protocols recommended by Nick, including homeopathic remedies. We now have a nine year old dog that is happy and energetic, full of zest for life, and often people think he is much younger than his years. We continue to receive advice and support from Nick and will continue to do so in the future. We have no hesitation in recommending Nick if you are looking for a Holistic approach.”
