“I've not been here since 2012 when it was DW, what a pleasant experience it was being back, its small yet intimate. Great facilities available, really friendly staff too! I can see there are reviews talking about hygiene and cleanliness, to be fair I'd say things have improved from what I saw. Also to those reading, remember why you're at the gym too, I come in early, put in the work and then go about my day. Pure Gym is available if you wanted the insta/tiktok kids.”

“Excellent experience of pre school swimming lessons. Having previously failed to get my child into the water at another provider (despite extremely nice instructors), I was somewhat dubious about trying again. However these instructors are clearly pros with little children and not only managed to persuade an initially crying child into the water and enjoy, but by the second lesson got them to actively participate. Small groups with 3 instructors in the water. Nice cafe as a bonus. Really positive experience”

“Gavin is a superstar. We have had a softub before but this is our first hot tub. Not only did Gavin provide excellent advice on chemicals but he even managed to get them to me within 24 hours. Spa Chem provide an excellent personal service which is so often lacking today. Definitely my go to supplier for advice and products from now on.”

“Have participated in many galas here over the years! I like how the changing area has open as well as cubicle showers so you don’t have to be around everyone. Also has plenty of changing cubicles which are usually very clean. - Easy access into the pool from the changing village and the downstairs area - also where the swimming scenes from Sex Education were filmed which makes swimming here a lot cooler now”

“Overall great stay. Venue is practical and efficient. Rooms are compact but a good fit for its purpose. Soap and shampoo available for a good wash and bed comfortable. Semi view on a forest park. No noise issue. Great food and beverage offering. Great little canteen and friendly staff. The breakfast chef was so nice. Great customer service. Plenty of parking.”

“Have just come home after a short break with my wife and children. Absolutely lovely hotel. Breakfast was brilliant, For breakfast you place your order the night before and it's cooked fresh for you once you come down for it, but this is for a few reasons the main perk of which is it arrives hot, and fresh unlike you get at the buffet style and added bonus to that is the fried eggs are not rubbery. The owners were a lovely friendly couple and come across as if they are running the hotel for the love of it and not just in it for the money. Nothing appeared to be to much for them, even having a laugh as I was apologising for my wife spilling coffee all over the floor and the only thing to hand to mop it up was one of their lovely clean white towels. They appear to also love the WSM part of the country and full of local knowledge as to where to go depending on what you want to do. Having visited Western Super Mare a number of times this hotel ranks as an 11 out of 10 compared to others we've stayed at in the area and 15 out of 10 against your travel lodge / premier Inn type places so much so we have already pre-booked the same few days for next year. Have just asked my sons about the stay and they said that they are excited to be going back to the same place next year. Now for them to come even remotely near saying something like that is a miracle. The only thing they could fault was the phone signal for 5g internet but this is totally out of the hotels control and they have rectified this the best they can with free wi-fi from within the hotel. As a message to the owners "Thank you once again for helping to make our stay in Weston even more enjoyable than it normally is, and we will see you next year"”

“Four adults and a four year old. We've just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at Riverside. Yes, there were a couple of negatives, and no, we didn't raise them at the time as we managed to combat them, and they didn't distract from the really good time we had. The caravan we stayed in was a six birth. Whilst there were ample cutlery, crockery & and glassware, we felt that the pans provided were of poor quality and inadequate. There was only one shelf in the oven. We expected that there should be two. And lastly (and it's the same issue at virtually every other holiday let We've stayed ), the knives in the knife block were all blunt. (The wife's tongue is sharper). May have as well used a hatchet. Apart from those minor issues, the caravan was clean and tidy. The site was well laid out and well maintained. All the staff were helpful and friendly and went about their duties diligently. We only used the restaurant a couple of times. I'm not a fan of carveries myself. However, I have to admit that the one we had at Riverside was really enjoyable. We also sampled the "build your own pizza." Outstanding. It's probably the best pizzas we've had. Pleasantly surprised at the prices at the bar too. It's more than reasonable. Well stocked with a wide choice of drinks. Apparently, we visited during the last week of low season and were informed that most of the week it would be quiet and entertainment would mainly consist of bingo, quizzes and karaoke. The best would be done to involve any children (of which there were very few). Lee, did an excellent job keeping us entertained. The bingo and quizzes were made really entertaining, and the children always came away "winning" and ice cream despite not even playing. For the number of people that were there most evenings, the prizes were very good. To summarize a very clean site offering friendly value for money service and amenities.”

“Channel View Gym in Cardiff Bay has truly transformed with its recent refurbishments. The state-of-the-art equipment is a testament to their commitment to offering the best to their members. The staff is not just friendly, but mega-friendly, making each visit a delight. However, one downside would be their limited opening hours. Overall, it's a top-notch facility, and I'd highly recommend it to fitness enthusiasts, just be sure to check their operational hours before heading in.”

“Amazing host for a fantastic new up and coming Roller Hockey Team. The Miner's. We train every Thursday night adults 9-10pm. Over 6 and youth on a Sunday 11-12. 16+ Sunday 12-1pm. Please feel free to come along and watch or join in first training sessions are on us. You will become part of a hectic team with a big heart ♥ and lots of big personalities.”

“My husband and I have just taken retirement and decided to sign up for Risca Leisure membership. The gym suits us perfectly and loving the pool I can honestly say a lovely lady by the name of Mandy on reception was very helpful, polite and very patient with us. Nothing was to much trouble for her.”

“I have been attending this centre for about two months now doing a selection of classes and times at the gym. All the staff are wonderful and supportive and will adjust exercises in classes dependent on your personal circumstances. The staff members I have found particularly awesome are Vicky, Gareth and the lady who does the core strength on Monday (so sorry I can't remember your name!)”
