“Good salt pepper ribs and spring roll starters. Soup noodles really tasty. Would have liked to see easier menu. Not clear if noodles could be dry. No kids menu. But takeout boxes available to take that home. Would recommend.”

“First time visiting tamarind after seeing a review in the paper about the restaurant winning an award. Took the missus last night and both of us agreed that this was the best lamb bhuna we've ever had. Food was amazing. Staff were amazing and the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. It was well worth the 20 min drive from coventry. Tamarind will 100% be our go to from now on.”

“It’s been quite some time since we had eaten Thai so decided to go here for lunch on our wedding anniversary. It’s very close to the main tourist area in the centre of Stratford on a main street We had booked online though there were plenty of tables available (there’s a big area upstairs also). The restaurant is elegant inside and were warmly welcomed by the staff. There was a 2 course lunch menu or a la carte to choose from. We ordered the duck rolls and papaya salad to start - both were fantastic and so tasty. For mains I had the duck with holy basil and my wife the chicken massaman curry. Outstanding food with great flavours. Massaman sauce was especially good. We passed on desserts. Service was friendly and timely. Overall a great meal and look forward to coming back.”

“A wonderful pub in the shadow of Kenilworth Castle that serves huge plates of excellent pub grub for very reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff and lovely real ale. Do go there if you're in the area. Probably best to book to ensure a table as it was almost full when we were there.”

“Was absolutely fantastic, ordered it on a Friday at 5pm for it to arrive after 20 minutes! And we were the village over! The delivery driver was incredibly sweet also. The food was piping hot, which is always appreciated, and the food was well seasoned, even down to the pork rice. If you want a Chinese takeaway in the area surrounding Kenilworth or in Kenilworth, go with Tai Pan!”

“We were staying nearby and had been advised that Rice and Spice was worth a visit. We tried it and were not disappointed. We had a set meal for two. We didn't have to wait long, and the food was very hot and delicious. The set menu offered a good balance of dishes and there was plenty of food for two. I will go again when I am next in the area.”

“Just had a Thai Set meal takeaway. I thought "Oh! This is going to be a mistake" Well how wrong can you be? We weren't taken by the menu anywhere else and we wanted to try Blue Orchid. I don't really like Thai Green Curry as it's always a bit watery and bland (basically coconut milk). This was the best I've ever tasted. Beaitufully seasoned with authentic ingredients. The Beef in Oyster sauce was better than any Chinese I've had. Tender meat and nicely flavoured. Dishes are not bulked up with chopped carrot and onion like a lot of places. The Starter selection was very good. Nice accompaniments. All beautifully presented and arrived (despite a wait) still Hot enough that it didn't need reheating. Really pleased we chose this meal. Very much looking forward to visiting the restaurant in person.”

“Had a couple of takeaways in the past from here when in the area. Had one again last night and it is just as great as I remember. There curry is outstanding one of the best I've had, and I've had a few! Friendly service and can pay by card through the website, which is very useful unlike most Chinese takeaways which are cash only. Highly recommended.”

“I came to write a 5* review and was very surprised to read some of the 'recent' ones with low ratings....especially one by "Amar" who describes a restaurant experience which isn't this place!! We have had several takeaways from here and every one has been great. I usually collect on the way back from work so when I ordered our last one on sunday night online I accidentally left "collection" on the online order. When I called after an hour and we still hadn't received it, the girl explained what had happened and it needed collecting, i was gutted driving up there imagining what the food would be like after this time had passed. We had just got back from holiday and were so looking forward to it! When I got to Rice bowl, the lady in the kitchen popped her head out and offered to redo the chips and also the crispy beef because they would be poor quality now. I really appreciated half our takeaway being redone and still offered to do more, apologised that obviously they could not reheat rice for us etc. They completely redid the 2 dishes mentioned for free although it was MY mistake and I thought that was extremely kind and i really appreciate it. Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Cov! I'm from kent and well traveled, apparently Chinese takeaway really varies across the UK and we have struggled finding a good one now we're settled here. This is IT!! :D”

To all the negative reviews .. do not listen to them .. there either attention seekers or moaners .. the special chow mein has more meat in it than any curry house ive used and flavours are too notch .
