“A beautiful place to enjoy nature and hike alone, with friends, or with family. You can bring your pet.”
“Friendly staff, excellent and great value food. Very good portion. Very clean and tidy. Recommended to anyone.”
“The food was absolutely incredible, officially my new favourite place to order. The kurdish wrap was phenomenal and the samosas are beautiful, I can't pick a single fault with the order! Amazingly well priced too! And we got a free small garlic bread with our meal!! Incredible service!”
“Madeleine was so helpful when helping me order as I used to get something called the all stars meal but Madeleine was swift to point me to something similar :) very happy with the service, speed of service and the food:)! Thanks!”
“It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.”
“Came here for the first time tonight after the refurb, Finn is an asset to the team, he went above and beyond. Great at delegating professionally to make things run as effectively as possible! Only thing I would say is that the chips could be made more crispier as they were on the dryer side. I do hope Finn gets the recognition he deserves for providing excellent customer service.”
“Great place for a pleasant walk. The flood prevention work is complete and everywhere looks very tidy. Places to exercise, walk your dog, running or just taking time to look at the wonderful River Derwent. Simply great. Enjoy.”
“Had a wonderful experience celebrating Bon fire night with the children would definitely be returning next year lots of food variety very accessible and plenty of activities for all ages to join”
“Our number one choice for a Friday night treat, we’ve been using “Steve’s”for a number of years now and never had any reason to complain either with the service but more importantly, the quality of the food which as always been prepared to a high standard. Keep up the good work guys!”
“Absolutely excellent pub. Service really was first rate, Michelin star-like. Goats cheese starter was very fresh. Can’t go wrong with a pint of Marstons Pedigree. Two EV chargers in the car park.”
“We hired The Little Kitchen for our works Christmas night out, and Donna and her team never fail to impress. They are so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely can’t do enough for you. We had the turkey Christmas dinner, which was absolutely delicious — a proper home-cooked meal with plenty of veg options. The red cabbage was especially amazing! There were two dessert choices, and I went for the chocolate one, which was so nice. They even let us bring along our own silly team games, which was perfect for our very competitive group. This was our second year returning, and we honestly wouldn’t find anywhere better for quality food and such a warm, friendly atmosphere. Thank you once again”
“Beautiful place! So, so beautiful! The wildlife is breathtaking! I don’t know who takes care of the gardens, but they are very beautiful! I was surprised to read that it’s part of the UNESCO’s heritage list. The mill building is so impressive too! It still looks well, but it might be better looked after. I would love visiting it inside. I loved the children’s enclosure too. There are toilets, parking and a cosy coffee shop. Everything you could need for a great family day!”
“Beautifully maintained sports ground and nature reserve with a walk along the Derwent River.”
“Very nice park for both couples and families with plenty of activities like massive zip line, padelo boats, slides, a big paddling, poolcanoeing for kids and more. There's a Cafe for a quick drink or bite with plenty of seatings outside plus picnic tables all over the area.”
“Beautiful reservoir absolutely brilliant walk round kids always enjoy it”
“Foremark Reservoir is a great place for nature walking. You can do a picnic on the grass and on the table and you do sun bathing on the grass only if it is sunny. Also, there is a big lake with a yacht, sailing boat long distance. There is a car park that costs £5, unless if you have a blue badge which is for free.”
“Really enjoy walking my dog here and he loves it too it's very peaceful”
“Calm and Peaceful place for relaxation”
“Great service from our waitress cora, she was helpful, polite and attentive. Food was a 10 out of 10. Main meal was ready straight after our starters. And for those of us doing dry Jan they have a few 0% options to choose from. Will definitely be going back. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 3 is because we went in at 1300 and it was quiet”
“Visited for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. We had the gammon and the pie. Food was all cooked perfectly. A great selection of vegetables. Roast and mashed potatoes. All food was piping hot. Staff were all very good, helpful and attentive. First visit for food - been before and sat outside for a drink. Will definitely return as this Sunday lunch was amazing.”
“My grandson loves Conkers, both inside & outside activities! The staff are lovely, the Halloween decorations were fab and, even on a cold October day, we spent 3 hours in the playgrounds, on the train & in the Enchanted Forest inside. Our annual ticket costs £63, as my grandson lives in the National Forest & that gave us a £7 discount - he lives 20 mins away, so we can dip in & out all year. Well worth it!”
“Absolutely fantastic place service and staff. Can’t fault the food the drinks the politeness and customer service… First class must visit great price as well.. Thank you…”
“This was a hidden gem. Didn't know it existed. Had a lovely couple of hours out in the sunshine. Looking forward to going back when the boardwalk has been repaired”
“Lovely place to enjoying watching the wildlife and enjoy a walk round the site. There are plenty of birds to see and hear along the paths with viewing platforms and a hide that provide excellent great views. A circular walk option allows you to walk back along the Trent and Mersey Canal.”
“I stopped by GDK on a whim and I’m really glad I did. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and even though it was a bit busy, the staff were still friendly and accommodating. I ordered a wrap meal, and everything from the fries to the meat was fresh and well-seasoned. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of the better spots for a quick, satisfying bite. I’ll be recommending it to my mates for sure.”
“Great place nice people at the OMG circus will go again”
