The staff are incredible; so friendly, caring, and always go above and beyond to help. It's clear they genuinely love what they do, and Benny clearly feels that too. The location is brilliant, and really easy to get to, which makes everything that bit smoother. I honestly couldn't recommend it more - it's the perfect place if you want your dog to be safe and loved, and have a ball while you're away.”

“I was relocating to Canada in 2023 I had long known about Purdies as many many years ago when my parents were moving they had contacted Purdies they were excellent then and are excellent now. From start to finish the service was superb I had lots of questions and they were answered promptly the employee I was dealing with was Gemma her knowledge friendliness were second to none nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. Unfortunately we were in a position that we had to come back to Scotland in 2025. How did I do that from Canada I didn’t know any companies so my first port of call or email was Gemma at Purdies. Sure enough she was on the ball got me sorted straightaway with a local shipping agent and guided me through the process all over again. The return process was made so easy through the knowledge and expertise. Both crews that dealt with my shipment leaving and coming back were friendly helpful and got straight on the job again the can do attitude is perfect just what you need as moving is such a stressful situation so all the reassurance and communication gave me great confidence that I had chosen the correct company for my relocation I honestly can’t praise Purdies enough and if I am ever in the position where I will be moving again they would be my go to company absolutely 100 percent”

“I want to start by saying the team here genuinely made a Christmas miracle happen. I went into the store to collect my son’s bike for Christmas, only to realise I had accidentally ordered it for Saturday the 27th — after Christmas. As you can imagine, I had well and truly messed up and was firmly in the bad books with my wife. Despite this being completely my mistake, the bike team absolutely came through. They went above and beyond by sourcing the bike from another store, bringing it in, and building it the very next day. Because of their effort, my son will have his bike on Christmas morning. Outstanding customer service, genuine care, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. I can’t thank them enough — a real Christmas miracle.”

“I would definitely recommend staying at Beaverbank place to a student. First, the staff is great, they are always available and answer your questions really quickly. Second, the studio in which I was staying was in extremely good condition. There is a big desk to work, a large bed (even if i have to admit that the mattress was not really good), and a very large window for plenty of luminosity. Third, I think that the location of Beaverbank place is great. There are two supermarkets within 5 min walk, it is very calm (no traffic noise) and it is close to a lot of green spaces (pretty nice to cool down after a hard day of work). It is within 20-25 min walk from the city centre which was ok for me. Fourth, considering the quality of the studio, the staff kindness, the fact that you don't have to care about anything (bills, council tax exemption), that your parcels are collected by the receptionist and that you can collect them afterwards at any time and that there is a good internet connection, I think the rent is fair. To me, the only drawbacks were that the laundry machines are maybe a bit expensive and that you can not bring certain electric devices in the studio (the ones that use too much energy (which makes sense because the electric bill is included in your rent)). However, I guess that these drawbacks are the same in every student hall accommodation. Overall, I would really recommend living at Beaverbank place to any student.”

“Just want to say thank you to Colin and team for going above and beyond to repair my ABS, I had a recurring problem for months where the ABS light would flag up on the dashboard upon reaching a certain speed, and after repeated fruitless garage visits elsewhere, I was eventually referred to here by my usual garage. Colin and team went above and beyond and kept me informed every step of the way and explained how the ABS system works and all the inner issues as to why mine wasn't working, how it should normally work and what he was going to do to rectify it. I would rate higher than five stars if I could as it seems to me that mechanics who know how things should be and exactly why things don't work and how they should work are few and far between and he was also determined to get to the root of the problem and rectified other issues along the way that were contributing factors. He worked really hard, tested and retested the car to tackle the root of the problem. Service was honestly outstanding and I would recommend TJ Wallace to any motorist needing their ABS sensors looked at, thank you very much!”

“One of the nicest sites we have camped at. Great pitch size. A busy site, but didn't feel too crowded. The toilet and shower facilities were fantastic and extremely clean. Great showers. Cubicles had plenty of hooks for our clothes/towel/bag etc. Nothing got wet. Plenty of hand basins, with light up mirrors, and single Cubicles as well. Well stocked shop with reasonable prices. We were 2 adults camping so didn't use the playground or games room, but both looked great. The staff were pleasant, polite and friendly. Excellent location for Edinburgh city centre. Bus stop just outside drive entrance, with regular buses. Would not hesitate to recommend.”
