“I only went to this specific guy because the reviews, I had multiple things wrong and some upgraded I wanted on my e-bike, he is a bike shop btw and he says he doesn’t replace or modify actual electric motor parts or, obviously he could still fix your lights and stuff, anyway my whole gear system was gone, all broken from a fall, and I wanted better brakes as it’s like a moped and has too much weight for just mechanical disc brakes, I needed higher graded fluid ones, I also had a bolt missing from the back that wasn’t just a standard fit, the spirals and stuff it’s almost like a key, he had to specifically order that part from the company, my front light had an issue where it kept coming off even if I hit a pot hole he fixed that, and by pedal lever was all damaged which I honestly thought the whole sprocket would have to be replaced giving how specific a part it is, he actually didn’t even charge me for that repair even though it was like one of the actual needed repairs, with looking at items online and stuff I thought this would come to a far higher price when you include the labour costs but it was far better than I expected, I had to make sure he definitely had done all the things I wanted and sure enough he did, when everything else is costing a fortune these days it’s good to hear a number your delighted with, like anything, plumbers, electricians or lawyers when you get a good engineer keep them as your main one hopefully when it’s me or my kids or family have any issues, this is my guy, and when you find them it’s like you won’t let anyone else even attempt to repair something unless it’s your guy, but yeah, thanks for the previous reviews also this is what led me there”

“What a great little local shoe shop. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, my 2 year old got himself worked up about getting his new shoes at other appointments. Kerrie the owner was great she send a video to introduce herself, photos of the shop etc so I could prepare him before we got there. At our appointment it was relaxed and Kerrie was so lovely getting the new shoes was not a problem. The shoes themselves are beautiful and very high quality.”

“I come from New York City, a place with a multitude of fantastic stores. However, my consistent complaint is that sales staff in NYC are useless. At many places, they'll barely look up from their phone or shelf when you walk in. Epitome has one of the best selections of brands I've seen anywhere. It's Ostensibly a women's boutique but the selection of brands and styles ensures there's something for everyone. More importantly, the staff is wondersfully friendly. We purchased three items and yet the process of paying took 10-15 minutes because we were having such an enjoyable conversation with one of the store's owner.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at TOAST this past summer. The staff were warm and knowledgeable. The clothes were detailed, well constructed, and made of natural materials. As a midsize woman, I particularly appreciated that the staff had a body neutral approach, and that the clothes were available in a range of sizes, as well as cuts that both felt innovative and flattering to a wide range of bodies. It made me feel a level of comfort I am not accustomed to in your average clothes shop.”

Instead of offering the same mass produced, kitschy knickknacks as ever other store, this one sells exclusively artisanal items, very clearly crafted with care. You won’t find another shop like this one in Edinburgh’s center, so be sure to give it a visit”

“Right after you are done eating a sandwich from here, or once you have made and savoured their pasta, you sort of slip into a heady, sweet bliss. And that's what good food is all about. It makes you full, and content, but still makes you yearn for more. Aemelia causes this jolly conflict, and all credit goes to Kip and Giada's craft and dedication. One could carry on waxing lyrically about the place. But insted I will thank them for making our life at Portobello that much more better. P.S: They have a sandwich loyalty card. Absolute must.”
