“We took the chance and popped in one Friday evening as our friend has been going here forever and recommended They were hosting a little birthday party but welcomed us to dine as they had tables available We ordered pasta with complementary garlic bread which I have to say was one of the nicest breads I’ve had , some rose wine which was delicious and chilled to perfection and water The pasta was so fresh and tasty We were full to try a dessert but we will be back The owner and mum We’re just lovely we felt so welcome and just loved the old style decor and cosy feel Of the place This is a little hidden gem and very reasonable price wise We can’t wait to go back soon”

“As a New Yorker with high pizza standards (and a serious slice craving), Franco Manca in Stockbridge absolutely delivered. The pizza was delicious—perfectly balanced, flavorful, and honestly lacking nothing. The crust had that ideal chew, the ingredients were fresh, and every bite felt intentional. Service was excellent as well: friendly, efficient, and welcoming without being overbearing. This has officially become my go-to pizza spot whenever I’m visiting Edinburgh. If you’re looking for a slice that passes the New York test, this is it.”

“The chap at the bar- Lewis - was great. He was really friendly and welcoming. Nice pub/ bar feel on top floor and then ultra modern underground pool room with cool lighting on the bottom floor. Great atmosphere”

“My First time at a Wagamama & i can truly say if there was a Phoenix in every one id go every day! Phoenix was so helpful & if she didn’t know she would go & ask to ensure we had the correct information. A great asset to the Team. My Salmon noodles were lovely. “In with my work supporting adults with autism which if you’ve ever worked in the industry they pay for you to eat with the individuals unlike what another reviewer suggests. Staff were very aware of our situation and were very attentive and polite. I would ignore reviews from people who only give 1 star reviews as some passive aggressive way of dealing with their own problems. Food was top quality and would recommend to anyone that can appreciate the good things in life.”

“CANADIAN APPROVED! after my two weeks in Scotland and having chips frequently, I was dying for a poutine. Found this treasure of a restaurant on my last day. Great food, outstanding poutine. The house poutine is your quintessential Canadian poutine, nothing fancy just the classic fries, cheese curds, and brown gavy *chefs kiss*. The novelty of having a Canadian themed restaurant to sit in was amazing. Friendly staff, quick service. A great place to eat! I had the house poutine with a buffalo rach Royale. My friend had the dirty fries.”

“Went 2/12/25 for another visit after almost 2 years and it was still very good. Lots of delicious beers and decent burgers and fries though so hungry I forgot a picture sorry! The place became very busy for a Wednesday with lots of groups and all you can eat wing night on Wednesdays as well. Enjoyed barley wine and stout and it was becoming pretty loud as it was really busy so left for hanging bat near by. Two sides for £7 was a nice value”

“Caprice is hands down the best Italian restaurant in East Lothian. The food never fails to impress, especially the pizza. Amazing value for money. Our waitress Jade was phenomenal, and offered us an espresso on the house after our meal. Would recommend!!”

“Lovely meal on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was quite empty to start but then started filling up. Service was quick and our server, Mitch, was really friendlyvand helpful. We have the Pizza Express app so got a special deal on the Romana pizzas, even though one came with gluten free base. Food was hot and delicious. We had the double dough balls to start, shared between 3 and a Pizza each, although no-one could finish theirs. Much too full for desserts. Overall a lovely evening and cost £35 each including drinks but with the discount.”

Everything was explained to us how it works the beer was great tasting and well chilled food -stunning selection there is no chance to taste it all in one go there is so much to try... “wagamama's food taste is good but i will say it's not like the actual korean authentic tastebud. took chicken options but they gave same sauce for both of the different dishes...no change. service was really good. you can pay in wagamama app from your phone and by logging in can get free prawn crackers.”

“Now as a bit of an expert about takeaways if I say so myself. Mario's Definitely serves the best doner kebab in the whole of Scotland. After doing a bit of research I found out they are one of 3 shops in the whole of Edinburgh who actually make the doner in house and I can say without a doubt it's the best.”

“Very nice fish and chips with friendly staff. The fish was delicious with a nice thin batter and the chips were crispy. The curry sauce was nice too as was the coffee that I had.”

The homemade potato wedges are my favourite with the parmesan and garlic & herb dip, you definitely wont regret ordering them. Most importantly the customer service I received was absolutely second to none, I'd made a mistake while ordering that needed to be corrected and the staff were wonderful about it. I was made to feel very comfortable and instantly put at ease so I will definitely be using this establishment again. Getting a takeaway actually feels like a treat again.”

“We were pleasantly surprise to find a place in Edinburgh which served "all you can eat" buffet and there was plenty of vegetarian food. Not only there was continental food but a lot of Indian including Dosa, mutter paneer, chili paneer, dal tadka, pani puri, bhel, pav bhaji and a lot more. Desserts included Jalebi and Gulab jamun. A very courteous team of people who were willing to help at every step. Absolutely awesome experience.”
