“We went early in the evening for dinner and had no reservations. Luckily someone who had reserved didn’t turn up and so we got a table. The food was absolutely delectable and lip smacking . I could click only two photos although we had ordered 3 appetisers and a main course. The Bruschetta with Bufala and Parma - Belliisomo…Pappardelle Guanciale Pistacchio E Stracciatella was a first time for me… it was nice but would have loved some more olive oil in it. The Calamari Frito was very good too and the chili garlic mayo added that zing..we also ordered the Insalata Balsamica … fresh rocket and salad leaves, cherry tomatoes and some onion make it a lovely accompaniment for fibre.. while I wanted to try a dessert, we were too full and hence didn’t . Prior reservations are highly recommended”

“A wonderful eating experience from start to finish. The decor and vibe of the place is stylish and relaxed. Went as a party of 4 (and a half) , 2 vegans, 1 veggi and 1 meat eater and we were all catered for. We also had my 3 month old son, who I felt completely at ease feeding in the restaurant and the staff were lovely with. Absolutely amazing vegan food! There's an entire separate menu, giving you so much choice. Beautifully presented, tastes sensational. The staff are genuine, attentive and professional. Will definitely be back. “We have eaten brunch/breakfast and pizzas from here on several occasions, every single visit and the food is always spot on, served fresh & hot with a lovely atmosphere and the staff are as attentive as you need them to be without being in your face. Now, we went to the restaurant for dinner and yes the choice isn't massive, but it is enough and what they do, they do incredibly well. We were a party of 5 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks, the burrata was fresh and light, the steak was cooked to perfection and the seafood linguini was delicious. A very enjoyable visit and I wouldn't hesitate to go again.”

“Amazing food. Nice little bread entrees. Starters were lovely. Nice pate, mozzarella triangles. The ribs were insane. The lasagna was too hot to eat so took it home and was lovely. Chicken liver and calzone all amazing. Price for 5 drinks(one bottle of wine) 5 starters and mains 175. Can't wait to go back!”

“We went here on a Thursday evening, and it was packed. Welcome was wonderful, and we were seated quickly, and drinks arrived soon after. Opted for the tuna carpaccio, sword fish, and prawn pasta, followed by the Lemoncello baked cheesecake. All was delicious, the fresh pasta extremely so. We would absolutely go again. I would recommend booking early, we arrived at 19:00 and it was just about right.”

“It was my First time here after i hear ld a lot about this place, i decided to finally pay them a visit not as a business owner but as a customer We ordered two turkeys breakfast, it was absolutely delicious, it gives you a real Turkish experience, i had it before in Turkey and it looks exactly same. We offer a Kurdish mix breakfast which is a bit different so i liked it and the good thing that the staff informed us that we can refill the tea as much as we want and also they offered us a free bread with it after we finished our bread, The honey butter,flower jam was the best i have ever had. “We visited Darvish Restaurant in Leeds and we ordered kebabs — they were incredibly delicious and full of authentic Persian flavour. The meat was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked,it truly reminded me of the amazing food back home.The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant had a cozy, traditional atmosphere.I absolutely recommend Darvish Restaurant!”

“Went last night 4 of us, its in a wierd place in the middle of the park, but a hidden gem! Everything all 4 of us ate was beautiful and just so tasty! Service great too. Its a great family owned business that we should support especially when delivering excellent food and great service! Just a note to those not in the know you can take your own alcohol in as they dont serve it.”

“Booked last minute for a birthday celebration. Was offered both a la carte and Sunday early diners menu, which was good value and had a wide choice. We had 3 courses, coffees, plus drinks and prices were very reasonable and portions large and tasty. Service was excellent, warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend.”

“My new favourite place to eat!! The mixed grill is delicious and perfect for sharing, as are the tea pots (mint is my personal favourite). Everything is quite reasonably priced and you never walk away hungry. Service is always great with friendly and attentive staff. Plus, if you've ever seen Tangled, the decor is very reminiscent of the arty painting room in which is just great. Very charming place, definitely visit if you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine.”

“We visited for the first time this weekend. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. I had the goats cheese and my wife had garlic mushrooms. They were fantastic. I then had the chicken on skewers with rice and bbq sauce andmy wife had the steak. Great portion sizes and couldnt finish it all. Nice atmosphere with attentive and welcoming staff. We will be back the next time we are in York. Highly recommended, give it a try you will not be disappointed.”
