I had my hair cut by Nick, I got a curly cut and find it hard to trust people with my curly hair, Nick did such an amazing job, he talked it all through with me and I’m obsessed with the finish! Was met with the loveliest team, Megan washed my hair and was so cheerful and lovely and Nick was so welcoming and chatty. Couldn’t recommend this place enough !!”

“Such an incredible and unique experience! We loved the caves - they are breathtaking. Lovely little caffe and a great gift shop too! The staff are great and helpful. Definitely plan in advance how you will get here - if you are relying on public transport it would be best to sort that out first before booking! Great for an array of ages although some spaces can be quite tight and you have to bend over quite a bit (I’m about 5’5) - so that is just something to keep in mind. However for all who are fit and able, I highly recommend a visit :)”

“I absolutely love this sandwich shop. Bacon and egg sandwich is the best from there. Totally recommend. Good eggs and a good amount of bacon too. Not too expensive and the staff are lovely. 10/10 recommend!!”

“I took my two grandchildren to Clip and Climb yesterday and they both absolutely loved it! We were met with a friendly welcome and they were soon in their harnesses listening to a child friendly instruction and safety briefing. There were plenty of different climbs to suit and challenge them and the staff were very attentive offering assistance when needed. The equipment is bright, colourful and well set out. There is a small cafe with a viewing area and again friendly staff. I would highly recommend it.”

“Amazing experience from booking through to receiving my scan results. My GP refused me a scan on my foot and ankle after I was given 4 diagnosis from physio and GP but not seeing an improvement in my condition. So I booked with ultrasound direct to pay privately to see what was going on with my foot and ankle. I was given a warm welcome at york and the scan was completed quickly and I now have a definitive diagnosis to work with....albeit something none of the physio or GP considered! Really happy with ultrasound direct and I wouldn't hesitate to return in future if I needed to.”

Would advise giving plenty of journey time if booking as it's a little tricky to find the right turning into the industrial estate. :)”

“Having been recommended to Zeb myself, I thought I'd write a review to pass on the same given my experience. My Engine Management light had come on & I gave Zeb a call who fit me in as soon as he could and stayed behind his usual time to run the diagnostics. He kept me updated regularly & waited for me to give the green light if some money needed to be spent i.e. buying parts. He'll let you know whether you need to or it's a can do but not necessary so you know you aren't getting ripped off for unnecessary work, and can make the decision yourself. He's a friendly chap who you can build rapport with quickly and has good knowledge about cars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zeb's Auto Centre.”

“This restaurant is an excellent choice. It has a very intriguing character and decoration. The food is refined, beautifully presented and very tasty. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. They also accommodated our last minute request to change one of the menus to vegetarian option. You enter from the street through a door and need to walk upstairs where you are greeted by the staff in a bar/lounge area. You will be seated and offered a drink. At this point you don’t see the dining area, so you can’t be sure what to expect. The dining room is spacious with a view of the open kitchen. We have been seated at a large table with sofas instead of chairs, which were very comfortable. Table is nicely decorated with candles and live flowers. The tasting menu consists ten courses and costs £75 per person which is reasonable. The whole menu was served over four hours, so book the table early in the evening if you want to catch a train back home. The menu is changed at the beginning of every month. The only little criticism we have is that there aren’t any fresh juices available and the wines starts from £34 per bottle (they could have some more reasonably priced options). Overall, the restaurant presents very high standard and I guess they will get the Michelin star soon, so book now before the prices go up ;)”

“Lovely location with incredibly spacious and well tended grounds. I particularly appreciated the free parking on site and great value for money accomodation so near the city centre. Huge thanks especially to the kitchen staff who were friendly and made a great breakfast. Highly recommended!”

“Just returned from our 2nd holiday booked with Joe - we did a cruise and stay in Caribbean and during our 2nd week at the hotel we hadn't been given our transfer details and I was struggling to find out who to contact. Email to Joe who responded very quickly with all the details we needed - something we wouldn't have gotten so easily if we had booked with the 'big boys'. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe, he works extremely hard to ensure he gets you the best deal but it's not just the monetary side of the holiday it's the direct personal service that is invaluable. “I stayed at the Halfway House B&B while working in Leeds, its a lovely pub with great ales, friendly welcoming staff and locals alike. The girl behind the bar even recommended places to get an evening meal. The bar itself was very clean and decorated nicely with large tv screens, pool table and darts board. The room I stayed in was what seemed to be in a converted house joined onto the pub. The room was very modern, spotlessly clean with comfortable furnishings and bed. The following morning I had a lovely cooked breakfast (i had veggie option but there was a great choice to suit all) with toast, Juice and tea, served in the bar area of the pub by a friendly lady who couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely stay there again next time I'm working up there.”

The dentist before was amazing, but my dentist now is unbelievably talented, kind, lovely and very professional, patient and works around my fears and with me to give me the best hygienic, healthiest teeth and smile. I have problem teeth and have had past phobias with dentists, but here, I know I am safe, taken care of and I love my smile thanks to A!”

“Not used the rooms but the food either dinner time or evening are always done as requested. And the Sunday roasts are even better cannot fault the place .from the owners to the bar staff ..i don't go anywhere else for meal's as this is a perfect location to where I live .highly recommend”

“Well for a start, you carn’t go wrong calling this pub the little bull. Every window has a blue bull printed on it. At the front of pub is a big blue bull printed on it. The entrance door is blue. The window blinds are blue. Inside the decoris blue. They took out the two log open fires. They took away all the bar stools. Theirs a bandit gambling slot money machine standing at the bar now. Bandit gambling mchines in the pool table room. I got half glass of sparkling cider. I gave a ten pound note to the bar tender. He was busy and looking and talking to his next customer. I had my change nearly thrown at my hand and missed. I was not impressed. I visited the pub a few months ago. I got a pint of John smiths bitter. I took the glass of John smiths outside and sat on the new bench. I was waiting for my bus. The bustop right outside the little bull. My bus came before I had time to drink my John smiths. I got on the bus with my pint of John smiths in my coat pocket. The bus driver did not see me. The manager of the little bull was watching everything. He saw me getting on the bus with a pint glass of John smiths. I was unaware of this. I didn’t mean to do it. I wasn’t thinking straight. Next time I went in the little bull. The manager was ready for me. He said I should be barred. He served me a drink. I have since on my eBay. Bought the manager of the little bull. Pint glass of John smiths. Costing me £8.50.I have it right now and I’m taking the glass down to the little bull today at 2pm. They do not serve cooked food. Or even a cold sandwich. Just crisps and nuts. Round the back of the blue little bull. They have took away all the garden furniture and umbrella shades. All the swings and slide have gone. Their is a couple of benches with no umbrella shades. Staff - friendly and super efficient, a pleasure to see a team working so well on a very busy breakfast shift - much better than many large corporate chain hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast - decent breakfast with a good range of options. Room - good size, very clean and warm. Parking - very reasonable price for parking in York. Stay again - definitely. Value - very good. Recommend - absolutely. Overall - spot on, far better than many places we've stayed in.”
