Ivy Asia Leeds was a really lovely experience also, great for a special meal, I booked it for a 60th Birthday. Service, food and decor is first class. “Very tasty indeed. I love the special keema spicy asian korma here (not your usual mild creamy korma, see picture!) The chapaties are the best I've eaten anywhere, freshly cooked and perfect. The seekh kebabs for starters are great too. Very reasonably priced and the staff are helpful and friendly. It's a shame I dont get to visit more often these days. I would definitely recommend”

“Having come from Malaysia, this restaurant serves food that’s pretty accurate to how it’s done over there! We especially liked the mee kari and the ABC (very unique dessert!). I left extremely satisfied. One downside was that we had been waiting an hour for the food to come. However the staff were very well aware of this and would assure us that it would come. Another downside was that the portion of the char kuey teow was quite small, and it was similarly priced to the mee kari (pictured). I think with time the service will improve, and it would also be nice to serve a portion that suits the price paid. However, I will come back and I do look forward to it!”

“We visited Vavasour as part of our spa package at Hazlewood Castle which included a 2 course meal. We shared brie for starter and for mains we had chicken supreme and belly pork. We shared sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert which we had with custard instead of ice cream. Food excellent, service excellent, nothing took too long, atmosphere just right, background music and not too much chatter noise.”

My wife has severe allergies and everyone was super accommodating from the moment we arrived, even the chap behind the bar knew about them and the chef could explain all the changes made to each dish - very reassuring. We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent, not as excessively and unnecessarily posh as some places - no foamed essence of unicorn - just the best version of each food item you've ever eaten, served with a smile and a warm welcome.
