Café in Liverpool

“Been coming to this cafe as a family for over 8 Yrs. Food is always great, breakfasts cooked to order and other meals all homemade. Staff are lovely, nothing too much trouble. Don't know where the bad reviewers went to but it definitely wasn't the Whistle Stop in my opinion. Call in and see for yourselves, you won't be disappointed. Youll always get a warm welcome from Paula and Alex.”

“Really lovely spot for a coffee and a bit of laptop work. Hidden down an alley parallel to Bold Street. Staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is very inviting and cool, lighting is warm, music is immaculate (Chet Baker!). The food looked lovely and the coffee was well prepared and delicious.”

“As a description, cafe doesnt do this iconic Liverpool eaterie justice, though there are staples such as burgers etc, its the home made Chinese food that takes top spot, hey, it's not the Ritz, but it doesn't pretend to be, it offers supremely well cooked food including exceptional home made items such as spring rolls etc, done perfectly. Lovely owners, great food, whats not to like !”

“Love finding a cosy little corner here to chill out with a gorgeous latte after a shopping trip. I suffer mental illnesses & my phone had died this perticular day after the Xmas shopping I'd done earlier & I'd become so worked up and staff allowed me to charge it up for a little bit, jst enough to let my mum know that I was ok and on way home shortly and that battery had died as well. Staff was so kind and lovely to help me the way they did. To go above n beyond to help someone in distress meant so so much to me. Thank you to the lovely lady who helped me and made sure I was OK after id had my coffee. Thank you so much.”

“As a paramedic on shift I visited during work for a coffee, staff served me very fast and was polite. I got a salted caramel iced coffee and it was very refreshing. Reasonable price also. I didn’t get food this time but I’ve had food in the past and it as you would expect from a costa coffee”

“Had a fabulous evening here on Saturday, 10 adults and 3 dogs. All the staff made a fuss of the dogs and looked after the humans to. Food was excellent all served at the same time. We all had a great time thanks to all the staff see you again soon. Dave the greyhound sends his ❤️”

“A nice place for a family treat. Good selection of sweet as well as savoury pancakes. Staff are attentive and helpful. The woman who served us was happy and chirpy. The cafe is clean and bright. You can see the pancakes being made, right behind the counter, so you can have confidence in the cooking. I sampled a savoury pancake with cream cheese and smoked salmon, which came with a generous side of rocket. My son had a sweet pancake with Nutella, whipped cream, banana and chocolate sauce. We both enjoyed our food and couldn’t fault it.”

“The special pasta was absolutely amazing! Chef Amin was fantastic and even shared the story behind the dish, which made it extra special. The staff were super friendly, and the whole experience left us so happy. Great food, great people – highly recommend!”

“A nice Costa location with very friendly staff and well made drinks. Costa has been very greedy with the price increases though and I can't say I recommend them if you want the best coffee. Local coffee shops will likely be the same price but with much higher quality drinks as they use quality ingredients and don't cheap out on ingredients (thanks coca-cola). Please support local businesses who need your custom! The megacorps do not care unless they make profit. Your custom will go a long way for local businesses.”

“The lady who served me was polite and made me feel welcome. I ordered a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and a T cake. I didn't have to wait long for the T cake. Both my drink and T cake where hot and tasted lovely.”

“Went to Costa coffee today for a festive drink and I wasn't disappointed, I had the Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate complete with whipped cream and a segment of Terry's chocolate, it was the most yummy hot chocolate ever, just what you need to get you in the festive mood and to warm you up on the cold winter months to come .”

“When I saw there was a Costa coffee in belle vale I couldn’t have been more excited, to be rammed. I instantly called mum to tell her. I said “Mum I can’t believe it, we never knew a Costa was here” and she said “what a waste of oxygen that was.” I couldn’t believe that Anthony Costa wasn’t working here, despite that the experience was as enjoyable as a blue concert True salt of the earth people here, would recommend my Granny”

“Coffee is lovely and staff was very friendly But it was a bit dirty the area where they were preparing the coffees and also area close to the toilets - also one lady alone working very hard should have more staff preparing coffees It’s under staffing that shop”

“Great stop on a long road between Southport and Liverpool. Sufficient off road parking spaces, friendly staff that acknowledge you as you approach the counter which isn't always the case in some coffee Shops. Quick service and clean toilets. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly customers who smile or greet each other as we do in Liverpool!”

“Today at 4 pm I went to the store and my little boy was eating something different. The barista approached us and rudely told us to leave, even though we had bought food to eat inside. She wasn't friendly at all, and my son felt terrible, The way she made my son feel was terrible.”
