“Excellent traditional small village post office and small shop”

“If your thinking this is a Food bank ...your wrong. Cheshire hub are reducing food waste from supermarkets ending up in landfill. If you've never been well get yourselves over there. There are a group of really welcoming staff and volunteers always willing to help. Parking... now please don't park on the main road. It causes issues for everyone from traders, residents and people driving by. It you take the turning next yo the hub you will find plenty of parking available. Someone is about to direct you if need be. Now first timers will need to register and you get a membership number. Then on you visit to the hub you pay £4 and big along 2 sturdy shopping bags. The ladies and gents will guide you around and help fill your bags to the brim. Then why not stop for a coffee and a chat. I must admit I miss the Monday sessions but I try to visit when I can.”

Welcoming staff, exceptional choice on the menu, good selection of bottled beers and spirits. the furnishing are traditional which in my opinion adds character over other curry houses which are ''ultra modern'' which might as well be an Italian or Greek. One of the best curry houses in Merseyside.”

“After the demise of the great Happy Valley in Aspull, we were left searching for good "non standard" Chinese takeaway. Then we found Lams in Arlington. Which sadly closed in January. Again leaving in search of the holy grail. It's about a 12-13 min drive to the golden dragon, so not exactly local but we have no good options anymore around Blackrod. I tried this place because of the good reviews on Google. I can honestly say this place is amazing. It has competitive pricing and everything was really good quality. Also the portion sizes were really large. We had the fried combo starter, which was really good. Beef satay, fried rice, chips and crackers. Was absolutely phenomenal. We found our new non-local, local takeout. Highly recommend.”

“We went on the first day for tulip viewing. The tulips are beautiful, with all sorts of colours. Area is not huge (about 10 rows of tulips) but enough for good photos. Staff is really friendly, takes the initiative to engage with us. Really appreciate as this farm is just 15mins away from my house on the Wirral, saving my journey to travel 2 hours down south to see. I rather support a local farm!”

“Visited for the first time on a Wednesday, which is burger night, so obviously had to have a couple burgers! Very tasty on the whole, although the ratios of sauce to burger could definitely be worked on - one had a bit too much and the other needed lots more! Definitely recommend the PBJ time burger if you fancy something a bit different (and don't have a nut allergy). Shared some churros for dessert and these were very good. The atmosphere was also lovely, nice touch having board games and cards available. The real highlight was the friendly staff though, really made us feel welcome and made the night special.”

“A wonderfully warm and engaging nursery with a fab team. The ladies working with the children are enthusiastic and attentive. The fabulous kitchen staff prepare lovely meals (our children eat EVERYTHING). The environment is lovingly maintained and the admin and management team are professional and clearly very experienced. We are delighted we chose Croft House.”

“My son had the best couple of years at Growing Minds. They really helped to ease my anxiety when he first started. He developed so well as a person and the Montessori learning has really allowed him to love to learn. They noticed when he was ahead in development and adjusted his goals. The facilities are fantastic especially the outdoors and I loved that all we had to pack was spare clothes, I was also amazed at how well my son ate his meals and the food always sounded so good.Everything was so personal and the updates on the app were so valuable to see how well he was cared for and how happy he was. He loved all the staff and we were really sad to say goodbye.”
