The amenities really make a difference — the co-working space and gym are super convenient. “Visited the Ramblers Rest pub for Father’s Day and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. It’s also a dog-friendly pub, which was a huge plus as we brought our dog along and she was made to feel just as welcome! For food, I had the king prawns to start, the beef roast for my main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, every single dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!”

“Week 2: the booze tube ,around our world on a freedom pass: Measures are 25ml or 50ml so English Isobella was a great host she made us very welcome ,this pub is closer to the equator than our home in Finchley so we had to take off our coats as it was hot. A circus theme to the place ,we tried to dogem but got caught and had to pay the bill Isobella chose our next station on the random app,hello Wimbledon park !”

“Lovely pub not too far from Vauxhall and Pimlico station. Has a great selection of beers, wine and spirits. They also serve food as well as light snacks. There is a dart board and pool table as well as several TVs to watch sports. The manager of the pub that served us was friendly and welcoming. Definitely plan another visit soon”

“What an amazing place! I’m coeliac and they gave me a gluten free fish and chips with all the condiments! Our server Almaz was so helpful and double checked what I could have. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“We visited here for Afternoon Tea with Father Christmas. We were a large group of 10 (adults and children). The venue was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Food was delicious and offered alternatives for the vegetarians in our group. Joe Banana was the entertainer for the afternoon and he did not disappoint. The Father Christmas was very good. Plenty of activities for the children to keep them occupied. Would definitely return.”

“Gorgeous buffet style restaurant, but not your average buffet! There is so much choice of starters, soup, pasta sltation, noodles station, mains buffet with 3 or 4 coices including fish and vege options. The dessert table is to die for though, wear elasticated waist!! Have a stroll along the Thames after dinner to get your digestion working! Rexommend for fussy eaters and special occassions. Book well in advance!”

“Lovely little place to visit before catching a train home. We had a mixed chicken and Lamb Machboos was exquisite, salad, fried, fragrant rice - lamb was slow cooked and fell off the bone - wasn’t expecting food this good. Staff were lovely, helpful with menu choice and perfectly polite”

“Lots of extras on and around the grounds. I stayed in the hostel (not camping) and it was great. They have a small, but well built kitchen available. Comfortable, sturdy beds, friendly and very helpful staff. They have a small shop available during regular hours with things you may need. Large social area, with comfy seating, next to the kitchen (also dining area). Amazing views and surrounding forest area.”

“If I didn’t have a train booked that afternoon, I would have happily grazed my way through the whole day of menus until closing time. I did not want to leave! We went for breakfast at my friends suggestion that it was a “great location, and great food” but from the second I saw the setting of the garden igloos against the backdrop of the Thames and The Shard with the arches of autumnal floristry and warm welcome from the staff, I knew this experience would be more than “breakfast with a view”! The menu choice was great, the coffee was strong and hot and the staff perfectly accommodating and highly capable of real human communication with a dose of good humour (an increasingly rare trait). I could imagine a great corporate away day in an igloo for business, or just with friends for a celebratory brunch, or exactly as we had it… A triple relaxed breakfast rendezvous with great quality… well, everything!”

“Rafayel on the Left Bank is an interesting boutique / eco-luxury hotel with many appealing features (river views, spa, spacious rooms, design touches) but it has notable inconsistencies and quirks. Whether it’s a good fit depends on your priorities, tolerance for imperfections, and expectations. Best for: • Guests who value unique design, riverside views, spa / wellness, and boutique experience over perfect polish. • Those comfortable with being a bit removed from the very center and willing to use transport to get to central attractions. • Travelers looking for more “value luxury” — i.e. a luxury hotel that might cost less than top-tier central 5-stars.”

“Place is very well positioned, close to Northern and Jubilee line tube stops and to shops and amenities. Studio is very good, only a couple of nuisances: the shower water, which had some weird smell but that's possibly because of the old building and therefore old pipes (tap water from kitchen sink was just fine for drinking) and the bed mattress, which was a bit on the soft side. Nevertheless, great place!”

“I love this place. Free doggy biscuits (I walk other people’s dogs), nice hot cappuccinos and the kids love the hot chocolate. The pain au chocolat and croissants are deliciously buttery and flaky pastry. Also love the sausage roll which isn’t cheap but yummy! Always friendly staff, even when the weather is miserable! We also take our own cups to reuse. They always use them happily.”
