Outdoor pool in Manchester

“Clearance of the overgrown Lido continues with a second visit by Manchester based Sky UK engineers. Yesterday we uncovered the main turnstile entrance exit where back in the 1930's. you had to pay a penny to swim in this open air pool. There are lots more to see and do in this park then ever before, The Friends of Heaton Park face book group, has over 3000 members who share their experience and historical knowledge of the Park. It's worth a look in.”

“Little was a bit unsure to start with but soon found that it was fun and spent a good 40 min running through the spray. He found he could stop the jets by standing or sitting on them which was great fun when released.”

“Go on regular basis have done for years, staff are friendly and supportive if you need info or useing equipment. Swimming pool has a good timetable so you can plan when you want to swim. Overall great to use facilities whenever you want.”

“I really look forward to Nicole's aqua class on a Thursday evening. I love that every week she does something different and not the same routine. I love the music she's plays which keeps you going throughout the work out. She if very informative. She gives you easier options or harder options. She always introduces herself to the class and tells you which part of the body you're working on durning each exercise. Nicole's is always energetic, I don't know how she does it!”

This is a dog friendly pub which we also love, it's nice to see a venue that caters for dog owners because with the great walking trail that surrounds the pub it's easy to be able to nip in and have a drink without the worry of having your pet with you.”
