“Amazing place, very convenient for swimming. It is very unexpected for England, but people be polite and take all the garbage with you and don't leave it in nature. Very ashamed of it. I understand why the people who live nearby are very unhappy about it.”
“A quiet little place to chill and relax. Just over the canal from Canal Street. It's the home of the Tree of Life and the Beacon of Hope memorials dedicated to those who have lost to their lives to AIDS. It's also the home of the Alan Turing memorial. This is a lovely place to visit during the day but, as I've been told, it can be a little bit different at night as there is very little lighting.”
“Friendly operator, good comms. Car arrived quickly. Friendly driver who knew where he was going and took a good route. Very reasonable price. Recommended.”
“What a great friendly place to come. I was a very nervous swimmer. The staff were so kind and funny. They made me feel relaxed. I have made some wonderful friends. The place is kept clean. I come every day.”
“Came here to play badminton with a friend. The building is very spacious and kept very clean. Staff are friendly and the community here is lovely.”
“This is one of the most well maintained parks I've visited in Manchester. Abundance of trees present a tranquil atmosphere. Lovely walks and views of the reservoir - beautiful”
“Very lovely park to go to, whether it's for walking around or running. I've been here so many times I've lost count. Philips Park certainly is very spacious and is being kept in a very nice condition.”
“Nice park. Lots of things for everyone. Great for dogs, lots of sniff spots and places to run. Park entrance needs a bit of tidying up though if anything.”
“I took my dog today for the first time and we both loved it, we were there for around 2 hours and could easily have spent longer. It is pretty much all flat and there are lots of main paths to follow but we took the smaller paths through the wooded areas and through the middle of the fields instead so my dog could be off her lead exploring more. There were enough people around to not feel isolated but not too many that it felt crowded. I've never been before today and I already can't wait to go back and find new routes!”
“Lovely place. Very clean especially for a public park. 2 nice fishing lakes which are gin clear. The cafe is very reasonable for a coffee (£1.60) for a proper coffee) bacon butties cooked fresh and lovely, helpful staff and regulars. I'm actually a bit reticent about giving it a good review as it's so good I want to keep it to myself. Current fishing prices: Day ticket £5 for 2 rods £8 for three available from the cafe or the bailiff. Membership is also an option at a very reasonable rate. Enquire at the cafe for details.”
“We took 50 children from our holiday club ice skating here and the staff were exceptionally friendly and got us all in time for our session, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience!”
“Great Park for the kids, plenty to do and enough seating for the adults.”
“I loved the walk with my dog good for them to be off lead they love new places”
“A lovely place to go for peace and quiet, a picnic and a stroll. It's lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, even if only for an hour or so. Could do with more picnic benches in different areas around the lake. Only complaint is irresponsible dog owners, not picking after their dogs.”
“Beautiful place. A large play area for the younger ones. Sand too, zip line, tennis field and plenty of walking, dog friendly.”
“Easily my daughter's favourite park, two nice and spacious playgrounds, plus i used to play here when I was young so sentimentally it's the place to go.”
“We had a great family meal in November. Food, atmosphere, service and festive decorations were all fantastic. (We did not stay in the rooms - just visited the restuarant)”
“Really like the equipment and tables, great prices too which is another reason why here is my new go-to pool place. Staff are friendly and chatty and always looking after the place by regularly collecting glasses etc. The tables in here are great and there's many of them so you very rarely have to wait to play. I like the fact that the equipment is also of a good quality, makes playing so much better - definitely a huge upgrade compared to playing in pubs. I'd recommend here and will be coming back often. Don't listen to the degenerate 1* reviews, absolute nonsense.”
“Excellent sports facilities mainly focussed around football and always enjoyable to visit.”
“I was a start stopper of all gyms but I came back to active one week ago to get me back in shape and I felt so welcomed by staff and other users. I was so nervous to go to aqua fit and all members and the coach were brilliant even a member of staff put on a coffee and biscuit morning for free not always but it was nice to sit and chat.”
“A walk to check out the area for a promenade play. Realky good. A loveky walkway all around the lake meandering between the trees and shore. Hope we get the gig.”
“Yoga is my best part of all exercises”
“Good clean changing rooms and pool. Wasn't busy on Saturday morning. Average price. Everything you would want for a morning swim”
“This is a little gem of a park. It is small but wonderful. There is a lovely little cafe it really good value for money as well. We got three meals (toasties and jacket potatoes) three drinks and a toasted teacakes and it was just over £20. The food was lovely. We had a walk round the lake and park. Fully wheelchair accessible too. Parking is street parking but we had no issues. We went on a Sunday. Will be going back agaon”
“We both had fillet steak and I can only say it is spot on, and for dessert we had chocolate orange cake realy nice. All the staff are really friendly and pleasant this is a really nice place to visit. ( thanks again for the cake )”
“Excellent venue, easy to get to. They do an absolutely amazing burger and the chicken tenders are the bomb. Thanks Hashim for the food”
“Had not intended to go out on the night of the NW200 racing but we ended up in the Bush Inn. One of if not 'then best nights ever. Great craic with some of the bikers and best Guiness too. Staff working like Trojans but still smiling. Can't recommend it enough”
“Great local pub. Amazing friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere. And a large beer garden”
“First time here and really good pint , barstaff friendly , seems like a nice quite pub , highly recommend”
“I've been going to Boundary Park for 4 years, ever since my sister dragged me into open water swimming. Boundary park is clean, warm enough and well run. The November bonfire events were great, though someone has bought the land and put a bungalow on it now. Staff are friendly and helpful. Coaching sessions are available. The only downside is that where the pond weeds grow there is the risk of duck fleas. A rash vest puts paid to most of them”
