“Just a gorgeous spot in the middle of the woods. Beautiful house on the far bank and good for bird life. Paths mainly along one side and the top end with a jetty offering some good close ups to the ducks and swans. Really good for kids and wildlife alike.”

“Lovely walk, choice of routes with miles wide paths an option on muddier days, or over dirt tracks when weather better. Beautiful views, not ever too busy like dovestones can be. Lack of bins is my only issue, so occasionally see dog poo bags hanging on bushes, which is a shame.”

“Went right from the carpark for a cycle ride. Walked to the canal later Will visit again and cycle left. Love these old rail track rides. I'm very nervous on the roads so this is a fantastic alternative.”

“This year, we decided to break away from the usual kids' party and have a kayaking party at the lake. We were not disappointed! It was affordable, and everything was included equipped, wetsuits, and instructors. The staff were friendly, and most of all, every single child enjoyed it. Plus, the kids were learning so many skills without even realising it. I would highly recommend it!”

“Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

“A lovely clean and well set out place, unlike others I have been to. Really enjoyed the outside hot tub. I appreciated the complimentary refreshment. The afternoon tea was excellent, very tasty.”

“Having not owned a hot tub before it was a big decision for us to make the purchase and we had LOTS of questions. So happy we chose hot tubs direct, all the people we have dealt with have been friendly and knowledgeable, the tub was ordered and delivered in the specified time period, we needed a crane to lift the tub over the house, hot tubs direct arranged everything. Even after purchase they are always on hand to answer any questions, Chloe especially deserves our thanks as she is always happy to help. We found the price very fair and the maintenance plan offered also looks to be great value (not had to use it yet and hopefully don’t have to apart from service). Overall we are really happy with the hot tub and massively impressed by the service received, can’t fault them.”

“We have recently had some sliding/bifolding doors fitted on our outside bar area. Guy and the team had quite a challenge as this was originally built with the idea to keep it open plan but we decided to close it off. The timber structure wasn’t exactly straight and so it made things difficult at times but this was never a problem to them. There was always a solution and the work was carried out so professionally. All the team work extremely hard and were a pleasure to work with. What a team! We are really happy with the end result and I would most definitely recommend. Great service! Great quality! “A lovely little place that we visit every other Wednesday (unless Man Utd or City are on TV), where a gang of local musicians gather fortnightly to rehearse. The drinks are way cheaper than the pubs, and it's welcoming, comfortable, warm and friendly. If you're into snooker, there's a table upstairs too.”

“I'm a big fan of sports and leisure centres, and I've been to a few in my time. But I have to say that New Hall Village Sports and Leisure Centre is one of the best I've ever been to. It's got everything you could possibly want in a sports and leisure centre, and more. The facilities are top-notch. There is ample parking available. But what really makes it stand out is the staff. They're all really friendly and helpful, and they're always happy to answer any questions you have. They also make a real effort to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, which is something I really appreciate. Overall, I would highly recommend”

“Wow what can i say we had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and it really was the perfect venue. Lucy was amazing and really helpful during the planning and on the day everything went exactly as it should all the staff were amazing on the day! jake was so helpful the night before accomadating a big party for food and was amazing on the wedding day too. John our master of ceromonies was fabulous too. All guests commented on how lovely there room was. We used the Delamere suite to get ready and for our wedding night and it was perfect. Thank you so much to everybody who made our day amazing ❤️”

“It's always a great place to go. I take my son regularly. There is a little 2p arcade, some nice restaurants, and places to get a brew and ice creams etc. It does get really busy if its hot but it's a perfect place all year round”
