“This is an amazing Tea Room. They welcome dogs, which helped when I was caring for my daughter's dog. The highlight of our walk, calling in for refreshments. Delicious homemade cakes, and hot or cold drinks. Variety of sandwiches and light snacks. Quant surroundings, with knitted tea cosys. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Best of all, excellent value. Highly recommended!”

“Only found this cafe a couple of months ago. It's nice to get good old fashioned coffee that is actually hot! nice tasting as well and at a sensible price. Forget your well known High Street coffee shops (mentioning no names) Little gems like this are great finds. Yes it is tiny (only 3 tables inside) but there is also outside seating and the staff are friendly and hands-on helpful for anyone wishing to visit with wheels. They will grab their ramp and help you in anyway they can. They also carry a reasonable amount of vegan cakes great for vegans and people like me who have to avoid dairy. I could waffle on for ages about the cozy atmosphere etc... visit for yourself, by the end of your visit you will feel like you've been around to a friends house for coffee!”

“We discovered The Workhouse about 12 months ago when searching for dog friendly places to have a bite in and around Northampton (properly dog friendly - somewhere that doesn’t chuck you in a different area or allow them on the furniture) and this place is a gem. It’s always packed which is testament to the amazing food, staff and atmosphere. The staff are always accommodating, happy and friendly which massively contributes to the lovely atmosphere’s here. You can tell they are an excellent team and work well together. The food is insanely good, it’s on another level! Their menu is small but they do everything to perfection. The cake counter is always full of amazing treats making it hard to choose what to take home. This place deserves more than 5 stars! Tip: Get there for opening time!”

“What a fantastic afternoon tea. We were thoroughly spoilt and had an incredible afternoon. Food was amazing. Very obviously freshly home baked cakes and scones not to mention the devine range of freshly made sandwiches. I was impressed with the care that was taken to accommodate my dietary requirements. From online enquiry, through to confirmation and today's visit I can only rate them 10 out of 10. We were so well looked after and made to feel very welcome. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend The Artea room if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a special traditional English tea. Thank you to the team again”

“Popped in as we was in the area. First impressions were good, we found a table and menu's bought over to us. They then asked if we wanted a drink while we decided what to eat. They took our food options. About a 5 minute wait which is great. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and piping hot. I had a chicken burger with hash brown and bacon, with lettuce. Hubby went for a big breakfast. (I sampled a few fries too) Coffee and a can of coke.”

“My goodness, I've found the most beautiful, authentic tea shop with a WW2 victory theme. 2 fantastic Persian ladies with this idea have created a warm, friendly and very interesting community spot where talking with them is breath of fresh air. The artifax are incredible too. I'll pop in again on my next trip to kettering.”

“Hidden gem, nestled at the rear of an industrial estate. Offers incredible value for money on great tasting east asian cuisine. There was a 15 min wait time which was spent walking around the adjacent oriental food store. Highly recommend.”

“This is a lovely little cafe which is extremely reasonable with a large menu. It's a great choice of food and everytime I've been the food has been really nice and well cooked. They do prefer cash but will happily take card payments too. Always a treat to visit the Pumphouse.”
