“I have been taking my 5 month old here since he was about 3 months old. The pool is perfect for baby classes, nice and warm and the instructor is amazing. It’s very relaxed and welcoming which is as exactly what I wanted (always a bit nerve racking when you’re trying new things with a baby!) classes are not too big either! They provide lots of info and instructions before you go which is so useful too so you know exactly what you’re doing and how it works! I look forward to our class every week and would recommend Hartwell to anyone wanting to give baby swimming a go!”

“Towers Health & Racquets Club is a great place to train and unwind. The gym has a good range of equipment, and the courts are always in good condition. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed but professional. It can get a little busy at peak times, but overall it’s a great club to visit even as a guest.”

“A Perfect Day at Woburn Lido From the moment I arrived at Woburn Lido, I knew I was in for a treat. Nestled in the charming village of Woburn, this historic outdoor pool is a hidden gem that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The first thing that struck me was the stunning Art Deco architecture. The beautifully restored changing rooms, with their vibrant tiles and classic arches, transported me back to the 1930s. It was like stepping into a different era, and I couldn’t help but admire the attention to detail that has gone into preserving this piece of history. As I dipped my toes into the crystal-clear water, I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect temperature. The pool is heated to a comfortable 26°C, making it ideal for a leisurely swim or a more vigorous workout. The separate paddling pool for children is a thoughtful touch, ensuring that families can enjoy their time here without any worries. The atmosphere at Woburn Lido is incredibly relaxing. Surrounded by lush greenery, the pool area feels like a tranquil oasis. I spent hours lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and taking refreshing dips whenever I felt like it. The friendly staff were always on hand, making sure everything was just right. One of the highlights of my visit was the sense of community. Locals and visitors alike come together here, creating a warm and welcoming environment. I had some lovely conversations with fellow swimmers, sharing stories and tips about the best spots in the area. After a day of swimming and relaxation, I treated myself to a delicious snack from the on-site kiosk. The selection of refreshments was impressive, and I enjoyed a tasty ice cream while basking in the late afternoon sun. As the day came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this wonderful experience. Woburn Lido is more than just a swimming pool; it’s a place where memories are made. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun day out with family and friends, Woburn Lido is the perfect destination.”

“Just had Christmas Lunch at the hotel. Can’t fault the food on any level, and the service team were really hard working and had a smile on their faces the whole day. An excellent day, well done!”

“What a lovely place to swim! It’s 200m long and a wonderful way to cool down at the end of a hot summer’s day. You need to wear a bright swim hat and use a tow float. There are changing rooms but we usually get ready at the side of the lake. You can buy 10 swims for £60. Swim hats are sold at the reception and you can hire a tow float for £1. 4 lengths of this lake are the equivalent of 32 lengths in a normal 25m indoor leisure centre pool.”

“We recently stayed at the Mercure, Milton Keynes, while visiting a friend. The hotel is immaculately clean, modern and in a great location. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. Our room was on the ground floor quite close to reception. And although the room was spacious and clean, we found the bed to be a tad uncomfortable, perhaps because it's a linked bed. Nothing major but worth noting. During the night there was a dripping noise, presumably from the air-conditioning unit, which again was bearable but could be an issue to some. We stayed in the autumn but I'm sure in the summer, the AC would be very welcome. The rooms were cleaned daily, although one day our room seemed to have been half done. Towels were changed and bathroom cleaned but the bed not made up or coffee sachets left. This was rectified by reception, so once again not a problem. The rooms have multiply sockets, with USB points which is a luxury in itself. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar food was delicious and more than ample. We have an EV and although the chargers weren't working while we were there, there were plenty of high speed chargers in MK. My husband and I would definitely stay here again, the issues I've mentioned are very minor so please don't let these out you off staying at this hotel.”

“I loved coming here. I came here last week with my wife, we went to the gym and went for a swim and it was nice and clean everywhere. You have a cleaner I think her name is Alisha? Not sure if that’s how you spell her name but she was incredible absolutely my favourite staff member. I will be coming here a lot more often!! Highly recommend to come here”

“I come here weekly to use the pool and the experience is always great. The staff at the desk are always extremely friendly and pleasant, especially Dove. His customer service is excellent, he is always so welcoming and goes above and beyond to make sure customers are looked after. Highly recommend!”

“My LO attends Fish2Water swimming lessons via SSG and really seems to enjoy it. He is particularly fond of Orsola our instructor who knows every student by their first name, is super patient and is just such a natural at teaching kids how to swim - whilst making the adults feel at ease too. Highly recommend!”

“I’ve been using Shenley Church End Leisure Centre for 20+. Excellent customer service, plenty of facilities and great football pitch (perfect size for 7 a side with very competitive pricing). However, the centre is a bit dated. Shout to Mo on reception. She’s brilliant!”

“Fantastic gym and body balance classes of Pilates, Yoga and t'ai chi three times a week for losing weight within your first few months of classes. For body balance classes you have to bring your own Yoga mat due to hygiene reasons.”

It was our first time visiting and already booked in for a circuits class onondag and another play/swimming session for me and my little one. A Great start to our day! Thank you”

“Took my two 4 year old grandsons swimming at Flitwick leisure centre in the under 5's session. The parking us easy, the changing rooms and whole swimming area is exceptionally clean and the two pools available are ideal for the age range. We all had a great time.”
