“Lovely cream teas and excellent service. Topped the cream and jam up and offered to top up tea pot with hot water. Lovely fresh scones, will visit again when in the area.”
“Grand son trying the free comic making workshops”
“The Geo pool is so warm! Walk in a bath. It was a quiet area where you could just lie on your back and float in the salt water, looking up at the sky. Perfect. We could have been anywhere in the world. The sauna was good with a hide away corner. Changing places and lockers in there. Booked in on arrival.”
“We love visiting the cafe with our foster children. Delicious hearty food that fills them up, great coffee and always service with a welcoming smile. Our younger ones love the play room and everyone loves popping out to see Charlotte the Pig and all of the other animals.”
“We love Jennycliff cafe. The staff are wonderful, it's a warm cosy atmosphere with amazing views. Outside it is peace and quiet. Today my Daughter wanted something that was not on the menu and the staff went out of their way to provide for her. Thank you so much.”
“This great little café was a welcome break as I walked along the South West Coastal Path. The food was well presented, as was the restaurant—someone is clearly paying close attention to detail. The view was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I will certainly return when I’m in the area again.”
“Great early morning coffee spot w/ nice outdoor only seating. Go if you want to see where the locals get their early coffee”
“Nice beer and nice atmosphere, definitely worth visiting”
“Absolutely loved our recent visit to Rise and Grind Plymouth! The pistachio iced latte was delicious — smooth, creamy, and full of flavour. The views were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot to relax. Best of all, it was such a lovely and quiet location — a peaceful little gem on the Barbican. Can’t wait to come back!”
“So much choice, more like a street food place than an industrial estate kiosk. Food great, with good servings for the price, and friendly service. Pleasant seating area under the trees too.”
“The Guardhouse has been a wonderful experience over our 3 day stay at Seaforts. Cathy organised 20 of us to have burgers one evening and they absolutely delivered on flavour and great service. We have also enjoyed breakfast and brunch on two days - the cooking is superb and their easy manner makes it a joy. Thank you Guardhouse, we will be back!”
“We've come here for breakfast a couple of times and the food is always really nice, and staff are always lovely.”
“Great little cafe with views that never get old, owners are a very lovely pleasant couple and I/we're always happy to give them our custom. Coffee is great, nice selection, I do enjoy the bacon/egg baps”
“I had a lovely quiche and salad, very reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.”
“Popped in off the back of reviews online. Wasn't disappointed, lovely freshly cooked breakfast and very tasty. Will definitely be returning.”
“Had breakfast at this quaint little cafe on Monday. Lovely owner who appeared obsessed with Queen Liz, friendly service and good food priced good. Typical locals cafe. Will return.”
“Best fish finger sandwich I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. What a gem of a place.”
“Great value, great service, great experience. By far, this is the best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Plymouth. I always go for the Nepalese Garlic Chilli Chicken - spicy, garliccy and full of chicken. Staff are always so friendly and polite, plus there’s plenty of parking outside.”
“Stopped here today after a walk on the moor, we both decided on the Sunday roast and I can honestly say it's the best roast I've had out in a long time and very reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again.”
“Uniquely pleasant setting and views. So calming and restorative. One of my all-time favourite locations for a cuppa and muse.”
“Wonderful little place with a friendly atmosphere and the friendly staff were very nice to my mother giving her a candle in her waffle and singing happy birthday to her. Known as a dessert cafe, but I had the soup and I must say, coming from Oxford where I have had lots of soups recently, this was the best. I think they should decorate the walls more to make the best of the space, but I shall visit again when I'm in the area.”
“Lovely and cozy little restaurant, friendly and efficient staff, and good food. I had the special which was fish, and it was beautifully cooked. We found parking on the street a short walk away. I would recommend this restaurant for a night out with a small group of friends or for a date.”
“Greeted by very happy and charming staff member, Lewis, which makes a good start. We were able to sit anywhere we wanted and picked the half booth corner table. Lovely choice of drinks and we had an 'Hub Colada' and a Seaside Sling. We both had the dirty dicso burger but we came here because my partner was able to have a proper GF burger as opposed to some "burger" places that just remove the bun and call it GF. Along with a side of "Mother Clucker Fries" - Skin-on fries with buttermilk-fried chicken, cheese sauce, sour cream, Korean BBQ sauce and coriander Couldn't have made it any better. Compliments to the staff and chefs”
“Pasties, cream teas and hot and cold drinks. All served with the most amazing views over Wembury. What's not to like?”
“Went into here by chance and so glad we did. This is such a nice place, staff are really nice and the coffee..... oh my god best I've tasted for a while. Highly recommend”
“Day trip to Plymouth with family and our 4 legged friend. Found this little gem. Just stopped for a drink but ended up staying most of the afternoon. Initially sat outside as there were patio heaters which kept us warm. Then moved inside. Received a very warm welcome and dog friendly was a bonus. Stopped for Sunday dinner.....absolutely brilliant and worth every penny. Tv was on but still able to chat. Highly recommend this place”
“Plant canopy was closed today but they've rearranged the plants to still be accessible, lovely selection for spring. Nice coffee and cakes in the cafe as always, I had a tasty slice of cherry pie with clotted cream. Thank you for a nice afternoon :)”
“very welcoming very accepted loved the karaoke lots of fun fully enjoyed the evening will be back luvs you xx”
“What a lovely welcome local café, the staff and supper friendly and welcoming. The food is out of the most world too. Been here a few times now, so great for a late breakfast or a stop when out walking and a cheeky cake. There is 3 choices of seating, outside the café under the covered walk way, inside the café or in the back covered area where you can open a sliding door and hear the river go bye. Dog friendly and wife friendly too.”
“Friendly staff and really great food. They deliver breakfasts to your door and really good prices too. Superb”
