“Staff very pleasant on check in and the whole reception area was very welcoming as it was decorated for Christmas. The room is modern, albeit small, as you'd have a few problems using the toilet or shower if you was bigger than average as it's quite tight. Apart from that, it was great, everything you needed.”

“This hotel is excellent for a Travelodge, in terms of comfort, cleanliness and lack of noise. Location wise, it is handy for visiting tourist destinations in the city and is located close to Portsmouth and Southsea Station. Car Parking is limited. Only very early arrivals will obtain a place. Car parking is not free but is cheap compared to rival car parks. Breakfast is fine, though the hostess was not very attentive to cleaning of previously occupied tables or replenishment of cutlery. Overall: Recommended.”

“The spa in the hotel was incredible and was great for a reset. The hotel staff were lovely and the food was amazing. 10/10 would go back again. Just wish there was more to do in the area but the hotel cant help that...”

“We only had a drink and a meal here, but the food was excellent. There was plenty of choice, including a kid's menu for smaller appetites. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. They were very friendly, informative, and came to ask us afterwards if we'd enjoyed our visit - genuinely interested to find out if or how they could improve. We were impressed and will definitely eat there again when we return to the Island. The food was fabulous, the best we've had on the Island.”

“The Bugle Hotel is a great place to stop if exploring the area by motorbike. A secluded yet monitored carpark is available. The building is old, and the room shape and size reflects this, but the ensuite and facilities are good, and everything is provided, we even had a fan available for use. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The team are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay.”

“Sophie Ryan & Jane were friendly and welcoming. The whole place has a nice atmosphere and the staff would do anything to make you feel comfortable. I was running late one evening and would be a few minutes late for dinner. When I arrived Jane had sorted and Brian made my food fresh. Would stay again”

“Really friendly welcome when we arrived after the late ferry from France. Short walk from Ferry Terminal via a clean and tidy subway. Spacious rooms, really comfy beds, bath, my son had a wheelchair accessible room, but our room was really big too. Quiet. Bus stop outside for city and rail stations. Reception round back and it needs better signage for pedestrians so you don't walk long way through car park.”

“Thought it was really good. They give you a code to unlock a box to get your key card. Very easy process. Room was really clean, tea and coffee, nice linen. Everything you want for a little hotel for the night.”

“Absolutely lovely hotel, staff were friendly and welcoming. Pool was lovely and so quiet, I had it to myself for ages. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall a perfect solo break after the Christmas frenzy and plan to come back for couples spa treatments in the near future.”

“A very happy welcoming place to be. Beers and other drinks are a good selection, Wish they could add a dedicated Craft Beer fridge though.. They have a Pool Table/Darts, with great live Music from time to time.. A Great place to watch the Football and other Sports..”

“Good hotel.. the rooms are spacious and has a locker, fridge and a Tele.. has a kettle, hairdryer also... Did not have handwash, body wash etc so bring your own.. the only negative about this was the 3-4 check in (which is fine).. but check out is at 10am which I think is quite early..”

“We were so grateful to discover Chichester Dog Sitters who were really accommodating at short notice. It was the first time our 7 month old puppy had been away from us and he was settled in brilliantly. He loved the beautiful grounds particularly. “Rachel and Dan were terrific from the outset, valuing my mother’s house realistically for sale and being very proactive in finding a buyer. They were so very helpful at every step of the sale, returning my calls without hesitation, and guiding me through the sale with great empathy once my mother had died before completion. “The pitch that we had was flat, spacious, grey water waste disposal, electricity and water, so excellent. The showers were also excellent, individual rooms that were very spacious, clean and tidy a great job done by the housekeeping teams. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our motorhome on site and Russell came up with a solution, the chap came out, diagnosed the problem, all sorted. Wonderful. The only downside to the pitch was the noise from the A27 probably less of an issue in the summer when the leaves are on the trees. On the whole very happy.”

“What a wonderful stay at The Caledon. The rooms were cozy, clean, and lovely. The breakfasts were incredibly delicious, and served piping hot. The location was perfect as we could walk to the downtown area to eat, and shop, and the onsite parking made it so easy to spend our days doing exactly whatever we fancied. “Lovely apartment and in excellent position right in centre of town ( with very effective double glazing!). Thoughtful cookies and milk supplies. Would definitely recommend - but if you think you’ll want to watch TV while there take your passwords for Netflix/amazon/BBC etc as you need to log into your own accounts on a smart tv..”

“It has been an all positive experience with Clive at CRJ Lettings. We are current tenants and the whole process has been incredibly smooth from start to finish. Prior to moving in, we had really struggled with previous estate agents and finding a property, but finding CRJ lettings was like a breath of fresh air. The properties Clive manages are all a very high standard at a very reasonable price and Clive was very responsive and professional when dealing with any questions we had and the application process. On move in day Clive was very thorough in showing us around our new home, and had created a detailed instruction manual to help us keep organized (as moving can be stressful as it is!). “I have visited Northlands many times with my family and am always struck by the kindness of all the staff there. Everyone is very attentive and I love their principle of adopting animals and allowing children to spend time with them. Their Christmas event was particularly amazing this year! Lots of arts and crafts, a movie, and a wonderful Santa on top of all of the regular attractions, a zip wire, animals, and lots of games! The food is also really good value for money. Would really recommend this place to any young family.”

“If I could give 10 stars, I would! The hosts were friendly and professional. Everything was absolutely brilliant — the room was the perfect size, the breakfast was delicious, the bed super comfy, and everything was spotless and well-organised. Tought out to the smallest detail: variety of hot drink options in the room, biscuits and little brownies and fully equipped toiletries. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, the perfect quiet getaway. Can’t recommend it enough!”
