βA great hotel in a perfect location with very friendly snd helpful staff. Stayed in a harbour view room which was brilliant. A great location for the historic dockyard and gunwharf quays, both within walking distance, so once we parked up in the lockable car park we walked everywhere. The bus and rail stations are directly opposite if needed.β
βI don't usually stay in independent places when working away but glad I did. Lovely room and I slept so well! Every member of staff was so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.β
βCharming hotel close to the historic dockyard. Friendly staff. Could do with some renovation. Good beds and cozy rooms but shower was so-so. Loved the restaurant. Good food for very reasonable prices. Loved the cheese platter. Lots of atmosphere.β
βStayed here for the first time, some aspects are a bit tired and could do with an update as for the price of my stay I didn't expect threadedbare carpets! Another coffee machine at breakfast would be useful as waiting to get a coffee which you make yourself was a bit frustrating. Staff and service were excellent as was the meals I enjoyed here, great dinners and breakfast.β
βLong weekend visiting family in the area. First time to stay here and would come again. Despite being quite close to a busy road couldn't hear it in the rooms, being sat outside the bar is quite noisy but the cocktail were nice. Bed's were comfortable, shower hot and powerful, plenty of parking. WiFi unusable and poor signal from my provider, was nice to have less distraction aa the phone hardly works, fortunately I was wasn't here on business...β
βRecently attended a Motown and Soul festival. Great weekend. Good food and excellent service by our server Lucy. The two slots each night by a fabulous singer Uche Eke were special, and the highlight of the entertainment provided. Been coming to Sinah Warren for 7 years now with friends, and it never fails to deliver. It is a break we look forward to every year.β
βOur Cavapoo, Dougal (aka Doogs), always rushes up to greet the owners at this local kennels and he seems to enjoy his stay there. Serendipity is a small, family run kennels in the heart of the countryside and there is plenty of space for the dogs to exercise and live in. We have been using this kennels for our frequent trips away and have no hesitation in recommending the establishment to others (as long as they don't get too booked up)!β
βI highly recommend this Premier Inn, the rooms are clean with great facilities, it's central to everything and the staff are amazing, especially the manager Kelly. Sadly on the 3rd day of our stay the fire alarm was activated due to a fire in the Costa below, I cannot fault any of the staff they kept us updated and as soon as they knew we couldn't go back in they arranged alternative accomodation at the nearby Premier Inn's. Their care and dedication was 2nd to none and I'm extremely grateful for their care of my daughter and myself who both suffer from anxiety. They updated guests the next day and most of us were able to pack our own things to move over to the new accommodations. Excellent stay cut short through no fault of the hotel.β

βFriendly staff & clean hotel. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant by reception. Good choice of hot & cold breakfast items. Free parking next to the hotel & pub next door serving good food at reasonable prices. There are a few shops a 5 minute walk away, M&S food Hall, Jollies pet store, B&M & a McDonald's. Also an ice rink & leisure centre next to the hotel. A pleasant stay & lovely welcome from the reception & on arrival at breakfast.β
βFantastic hotel, venue for the wedding we attended over the weekend. Very organised, staff very attentive and friendly. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Shout out to Kerry....Fantastic job! Thanks for making our weekend a cherished memory.β
βJust returned from an amazing one-night stay at the New Place Hotel for my wife's birthday. I researched many hotels before deciding on this one and it did not disappoint! Such a lovely experience from start to finish. Free parking (and plenty of it). Reception very friendly and helpful. Had a few emails with them in the lead up to our stay and they went above and beyond to make it extra special for my wife (thank you!). Leisure facilities were spot on, very clean and a great way to ease into our lovely stay. We undertook the wooded walk around the property, great to stretch your legs, get your bearings and explore some of the beautiful green areas located within the grounds. Bar & restaurant staff were equally friendly and accommodating, our lovely waitress couldn't do enough for us, she even took us outside between courses to take photos of my wife and I within the beautiful surroundings. Food was amazing. Presentation, taste, portions, selection, everything was spot on. Great selection at breakfast and although we were one of the last to show up, still plenty of fresh food to be enjoyed. The room itself was lovely, spacious, clean, well equipped. It was a warm day, so the large floor standing fan provided was a very welcome addition! Give this place a go, you won't be disappointed!β
βGood hotel, big clean and tidy rooms. Bed was large, firm and we slept well. Breakfast was good. Location is in the town centre, 5 minute walk to ferry port for the 5 minute sail across to Portsmouthβ

βSpent 3 nights here with family from Australia and we were so pleased we did. The rooms were clean and spacious and we ate at the hotel every night as the food was very well priced and delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the added bonus of being able to wash and dry our clothes in house was fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.β
βStayed here the day before a cruise ship holiday going from Southampton, red lion nice meal, it's a table table restaurant similar food to most, Sara at reception found us a iron and decaf tea as they dont seem to stock. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.β
βMy third visit to this Hotel. The rooms and facilities are excellent, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is good quality and a great choice. Can't fault the place.β
βBest hotel ever!!! Amazing rooms, lovely people, great food and drinks. Can't wait to come back!!!β
βI was really impressed with Apex that took over my property at short notice. They were professional, efficient, and communicated with me every step of the way. They quickly found new tenants for my property and handled all the paperwork smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable letting agent.β
βGreat place to stay. Great breakfast. Comfy beds. Wonderful staff. Parking is a bit tricky so best not go in a SUV! Will be going again.β
βI often visit the Queens Hotel to have a coffee (or something stronger). It is such a beautiful venue & the staff are lovely. We recently had afternoon tea there & it was truly fabulous. Myself & my friend both needed the food to be gluten free and as such we were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. There was more than plenty so we had a take home box each too. The team were friendly and helpful both on the day & when we phoned to discuss gluten free options. A great experience that I would recommend to anyone.β
βI had a fantastic stay at the Dorset Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming β nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and very well maintained, which made for a really comfortable stay. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight β fresh, tasty, and with plenty of choice to suit everyone. The location is also perfect, with easy access to local attractions, shops, and transport links. Everything about the hotel felt clean, well-run, and thoughtfully managed. I wouldnβt hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. A real gem!β
βI led a wedding ceremony here and the staff were lovely. Its modern and big and run very well its a good set up and I had a great time. Oli the operations manager was lovely and knows his stuff and was very helpful. The wedding ceremony went so well I would definitely work with them again in the future.β
βI used this brilliant Premier Inn after arriving at Portsmouth on a ferry from Spain. Very close to the terminal and a nice and convenient place to stay before driving home the next day. Staff very helpful and friendly. An excellent night's stay. Going to use again in October.β
βGreat services and smiles from walking in the door, the rooms are clean and spacious, could do with a few more shelves. Their breakfast, was ample in offerings and quantity. Lead by a very capable Erin on the front desk and backed up by the amazing Lisa in the dining room. There is lots to cheer about as guests are well greeted, making them feel welcome and wishing them a wonderful day ahead.β
βThis place has a really friendly and welcoming feel from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Itβs especially nice if youβre looking for somewhere calm, as the hotel is quiet and peaceful, allowing you to rest without any unnecessary noise or distractions. The rooms and common areas feel well cared for, adding to the overall sense of comfort. Another great point is the pricing. The rates are very reasonable, especially considering the comfort and quiet environment you get in return. It feels like good value for money, which makes the stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. Overall, itβs a cozy, quiet hotel with friendly vibes and good pricesβan easy place to recommend for a comfortable and relaxing stay.β
βWe stayed here for 3 nights. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. Nothing was too much to ask for from filling up our bottles most days to placing ice cream in the fridge. The hotel was clean friendly and the pool was a little gem. I would say relaxed and perfect. I really enjoyed my stay here for a 3 star this hotel was an example of great cleanliness friendly staff and overall good service. I would not say anything was bad. Great location good to visit Portsmouth like we did. Next time will prob stay longer then 3. Breakfast was outstanding to the fried choice and then the fresh quality fruit or small pastries. Decaff was cool I had a big cafe tiere each breakfast. Just over all great choice!β
βVisited as a couple for afternoon tea earlier this week. It was a delightful experience, would recommend on any basis for those looking for a spot for afternoon tea. Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The artwork on display in the resturant was fantastic. The food was great, boxes were provided for leftovers which were enjoyed at home. Hot drinks were never allowed to run out by the attentive resturant staff.β
βWe had a really great time at the Solent Hotel, we were there for a Christmas joiner party and booked a night's stay as well. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and we liked the little touches like sleep masks, sleep spray and super comfy robes as well as the little bottles in the fridge to help ourselves to the fresh milk and water stations on our floor. Such a fab idea! The bed and pillows were really comfortable and there were options to change pillows if needed too. The White company products in the bathroom were heavenly as well. The food and the party were fab as was an excellent buffet breakfast. As guests of the hotel we were also able to make use of the newly refurbished and lovely spa. All in all a great hotel and we would definitely stay again.β
