Has live entertainment every Saturday Night (and also on Sundays Bank Holiday Weekends), Showing all Sky Sports (although the football is favoured by the locals and takes priority before other sports) With 2 Darts Boards, a Pool Table, and modern Juke Box which is free for all every Friday Night and all day Sundays. Theres also a meat raffle at 4pm every Sunday where the various prizes are purchased locally from a traditional quality butcher This pub is clean, friendly and fun and serves a good choice of beers, wines, ciders, spirits, and soft drinks at competitive prices. Well worth a visit”

“Never disappointed with this pub been coming here since it opened and has only got better, like a good wine, lol 10 out 10 again and again consistently on random different days so i mean it's a no brainer if you like good food really reasonably priced and the service you wud expect these days. I've said it before and will say it again, I highly recommend this pub for your Sunday roast or Friday night it's got it all wins for me hand's down”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Love it here! The food is soooo yummy and all the staff are super friendly... shout out to Hanny and Jess who both really makes the place feel like a home from home! We always feel so well looked after and also their burrito deal is great value too. The atmosphere is chilled out and they often open the bifolding doors on sunny days to make the main room and indoor/ outdoor space! It creates such a summery atmosphere also a great place to play board games with friends or just hang out and chat.”

“First time visiting here. Went there for lunch with a friend. I had the eggs Benedict and it was lovely. My friend had the tater tots with sausage and bacon and the portion was huge!!! The food was lovely and hot. Will definitely be going back again. It has a great menu with lots of fabulous choices.”

“What a super transformation for this pub. The ladies who run it now have transformed it. The food was excellent the service extremely friendly and the prices reasonable. There was also a lovely, happy atmosphere about the place and all the customers we saw come and go were very relaxed and cheery. There was a list of future events on show and we will definitely be visiting some of these. Loved the retro music which was played at sensible volume levels.”

“I recently stayed here with my husband and daughter as I had a funeral to attend. Jack was brilliant and found me a room that would accommodate all of us. The room was amazing, clean and had a bath. The food was out of this world!!! We had dinner and breakfast. Even though it is a pub on a busy road we slept very well, I couldn't hear any road noise or noise from the pub and I slept with the window open. I would stay here again and highly recommend others to stay here. I only took one photo and it really does not do the breakfast justice.”

“We booked well in advance, believing it would be truly busy. Clocks having gone forward, lighter evenings, and it's Shanklin Town Centre location, making it an easy find for locals and visitors alike. For a restaurant, full the last time we visited, we were shocked to find we were the only booked table on a Thursday evening. Rather than cancelling us and remaining closed, saving on all their staffing costs and utilities they opened to provide for us and we weren't disappointed. Cocktails, a Starter and a Main each, all good sized portions with a lovely host. We were egging the few people that passed by our window to enter and experience the same lovely food we were enjoying. Post Lockdown. in this tough climate, myself and my partner had a lovely date night here and would recommend you try it for yourselves.”

“Had a great lunch at Bakers, massive tapas platters. Good beer and food service. The covid safety arrangements were well organised and we felt safe in this restaurant. I would recommend this place for people who are still a little nervous about eating out.”

“Booked the function room for our engagement party- Absolutely amazing space had the private bar, function room and the roof terrace! Gorgeous area that we were allowed to decorate and the food was amazing, had constant compliments throughout the night from our guests. Staff were amazing at the bar and those roaming around, special thanks to Luke for helping us arrange it all and thanks to the bar staff, waiters and kitchen staff for providing us an amazing night. “Great atmosphere and me and my friends went it on Sunday 16th November to have a Sunday roast and the food was fantastic nothing to complain about they staff member in the pub were very nice and welcoming which made me feel comfortable within the pub as the atmosphere was so pleasant. Would definitely go their again.”

George the new manager is doing an incredible job, felt very welcome as soon as I walked through the door! The atmosphere in there is 10 timers better than it used to be! “I know 5's across the board is hard to come by most of the time, but I mean it here; everything was perfect. I usually come with my family, but on my own tonight, and it was a different vibe, which was nice, warm and cozy, so that is perfect for my tastes. I ordered a Big Melt (with extra onion rings because they aren't better anywhere else!) For my first time trying the burger, I was blown away, everything just went together perfectly! Will for sure be my order from now! The staff were lovely too! Especially the lady who showed me the card to leave this review, and the service was greased lightning: from the second I ordered to when the meal got there was 3 minutes, faster than McDonald's! Through this lady too, I found out about that while it was nice, cozy and quiet now, later on it would be karaoke and disco, so I might have to check that out! I will 100% be taking my business here every time I get paid and to celebrate another week at College gone! Everything tonight smashed my expectations, so a very well done to everyone!!”
