“I love this Cafe! After almost a year of daily morning visits I've finally decided to write a review. They make exceptional coffee and their baked goods are always amazing. Pop in to meet some friendly staff and a good laugh.”

“Friendly staff, good coffee, great cakes and dog friendly. Quite small with limited seating but additional seating outside for when the weather is kind! Small carpark but more parking over by the green. Well worth dropping in.”

“Took my favourite summer rolls as a starter, they were fantastic. Rich taste of peanut sauce perfectly combined with mild taste of the prawns. Delicious! As a main I had steak pho, it was yummy. I was really happy with generous amount of well done steak. Noodles were cooked perfectly, they were not overdone and melted in my mouth. I would also like to mention Margherita, who was really friendly and helpful, she even helped me to charge my phone. Great service! Thank you guys.”

“Quite charming. Its staff and patrons are really genuine and friendly; you can tell that this is a well-loved place with great vibes and its loyal regulars. Where many breakfast places were empty, this place was absolutely jam-packed, which is a testament to how well-loved it is in the community. I wouldn’t say that the food or presentation is trying to blow your mind. It’s more of a home-cooked, comfort food. The best part is really the staff; the young servers are so polite and hardworking. Very quaint!”

“A Fabulous place to meet friends, have lunch, tea or coffee and homemade cakes. Whether walking, cycling, driving, you are always welcomed by the friendly staff. Yummy food fills you to the brim, comfy seating to chat with friends. Our four legged friends feel at home aswell as our kids with the secure play area. Sadly moving away from the area means I will miss this place so much. Thanks Sash x”

“A hidden gem! Second time for my wife. Spent a lovely couple of hours creating a Christmas present for the grandparents with a tea and hot chocolate. The lady running it was very helpful and has twice now helped paint the baby’s hands and feet as we were struggling! Definitely recommend.”

“Lovely little place to stop for elevenses or a mid-afternoon cuppa. Tea £1.20, selection of cakes available. No indoor seating, all tables are outside on a little terrace overlooking the park and river. Stunning park.”

“Very good coffee shop. Great choice of roast. Had an interesting and fruitful chat with the Barnstaple regarding the UK only, pitiful, flat white cup size. Reason is that I am now Australian and spoiled for choice for great coffee. End result, decent sized cup. Lovely coffee. I'll be back next time I visit the UK.”

“Definitely a unique experience. Been there only once for breakfast. Not only were the staff kind and courteous, they were very quick with service and I was able to pay easily for my food and drink. Not to mention they had some foods I'd never even heard of, and new pasta shapes. It was kind of relaxing, just sitting and enjoying a simple brownie and a cup of tea. Would definitely recommend for you early birds.”

“Vivs is a gorgeous cafe, perfect to stop in to when your in Goring to fule you for you day!! Betsy was lovely and gave great customer service. Personally i adore the chocolate brownies they are SUPERB.”

“Really lovely place, very friendly welcoming staff, food was lovely and hot and fresh, superb bubble and squeak! The only downfall was, we waited 40mins for our food, now I don't expect fast food, I like a proper fresh cooked breakfast, and granted, this place was very busy when we arrived, but it might be worth giving customers the heads up if it's busy and telling them a rough wait time? Fortunately we had the time on our hands to wait, but had we somewhere to be we may have decided not to stay had we known it was that busy. That aside, the food was definitely worth the wait, staff work hard and all provide a good service, it has not put us off returning atall, just honest feedback.”

The pistachio cheesecake and the pistachio duffin are absolute standouts – rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. The food menu is incredibly well-rounded, with both savory and sweet options that are all mouthwateringly delicious. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and make you feel right at home. It’s also an area with power outlets to charge your devices. A gem of a cafe that I can’t recommend enough!”

“The panettone latte is just right for me. Genuine service and attentive to clean the tables. The lady knew I struggled to put on cream and she made it on side for me. The staff were so lovely.”

“Needed a place to rest after coin day. Very nice chairs. This is the centre of the royal berks. When you walk around here you see all the nurses and doctors and it makes you so humble. They do such an incredible job and our whole nation owes them our gratitude. They are so hard working. They are so kind and caring. More to follow on the coffee as it’s too hot to drink. Very tranquil place. Nice staff. Good selection of food items. I can only imagine that people who come here must be going through a lot. I bet this cafe has seen a lot. P.s the staff work very hard mopping floors and looking after everybody in the cafe. Good charging point for phone. Good coffee. Good water. P.p.s it’s getting very quiet now in the cafe. The shop with the lovely lady has closed. There are less people coming and going now. Cafe staff kindly made me a coffee before closing. Still looking for somewhere or some way to leave my magic coins. Hopefully Judy can help but I think she might be busy in an and e or enjoying time off. P.p.p.s the cafe girl is working very hard sorting out the bins. There seems to be a lot to do.”
