“We went on Friday evening as a family of 4 for my birthday celebration, and the whole evening was superb. From the mussels as a starter, the main courses and terrific desserts, the food and wine really were outstanding. The team there made us feel welcome, and to a person were friendly and attentive. The evening was made even better since So Sinatra by Frank Cognoscenti was there, as he is every month, and he was simply terrific - superb vocals, very funny and he really set a wonderful tone to the evening. So if you're going to this restaurant, then do check out when So Sinatra is there - he's an absolutely class act!”

“Excellent food, attentive service and great ambience. Despite arriving a little early for our booking we were seated straight away. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and we loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. The calamari was the best I've ever had, my creamy pasta dish was delicious and the pannacotta was perfect, perfected by the rhubarb compote which complemented the sweetness of the rest of the dish. Good value too. We will definitely return.”

“A place to enjoy excellent Indian cuisine, with flavours unlike any other curry house in or around Reading. Dishes we opted for included Nilgri lamb chops, tandoori mixed grill and Bengal Bream - all were excellent, and went down well with a pint of Cobra beer! Coupled with a relaxed atmosphere & great service...makes for a thoroughly enjoyable evening out at a lovely setting in Pangbourne.”

“My first review 11 months ago Wonderful food, service and presentation The proprietor warm and friendly front of house with a busy and professional open kitchen behind him. I had vegetarian dishes which were as delicious as anything I've ever eaten. I collected, but they realised after that the poppadom’s hadn't been bagged so ran a car to my hotel to drop off. The extra mile done with great professionalism and good will. Back tomorrow night and can’t wait. Just been back and Wow!! My team worked in the area last year, and so impressed were we, I left a Google review. This week we were back and ready for a second bite. Not disappointed and, if anything, the food was even better. The sounds of Mmmm, Ooh, and lip-smacking was all that could be heard as the team and I tucked in to our delicious crispy papadums sauce and chutneys aplenty, mouth-watering starters, and top-drawer mains. The fish masala was just something else, dish of the night for me. And like last year the veggie options were well considered, flavoursome, perfectly cooked, and not trying to be curry without the meat, rendering any meat course irrelevant in my view. The meat eaters were equally pleased and consider this place one of the best anywhere. So, I’m over the moon that this gem is thriving and cooking up some of the Indian subcontinent’s finest cuisine”

“If you like remote and dog friendly, this is ideal. Google maps took us down some country lanes and over a single way bridge, on the map the pub shows pretty much on an island surrounded by country parks & lakes. The location is nice. Car park has about 30 spaces & I think 2 electric car chargers. The pub was pretty quiet when we arrived and the locals/staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub itself has a lovely interior. To the food, we had the vegan burger, bacon and cheese burger and the childs fish goujons. All very nice and well portioned. For dessert we had the rhubarb crumble with vanilla and vegan ice cream, finished off the meal perfectly.”

“A favourite pub for the Morris Dancing community. Great setting, beautiful old "real pub" with a fine range of real ales. The staff are lovely and the regulars, of which there are several, very welcoming. Given its popularity, on street parking can be challenging but well worth the effort.”

“Hey! This place is nicely & warmly welcoming. The food is cooked right (beef) and portions are quite large balancing the price. The staff is polite and wouldn’t rush you, altogether in a family atmosphere. Large car park, large beer garden in the back along with some tables out in the front, large tables, large and clean toilets - so overall all quite ‘largely’ impressed. Give it a try!”

“Phoned for a reservation and advised food served from 6 pm. Got a very warm welcome from staff. Shown to table. As well as menu's given, there is a great selection of specials on a blackboard that is brought to table. We had main courses, desserts and coffee afterwards. The food was excellent and ate it all. When I asked if we could have cream with our coffee instead of milk - no problem. We had a nice relaxed evening in a lovely homely pub and our stomachs were full. Well recommend a visit to all. 8th February 2020 - under new management Got a very warm welcome and noticed new decor. Food was FANTASTIC and took photos. Look forward to next visit.”

Strangely though, on the last visit, directed to sit next to a large family group while the other half of the restaurant was empty upon arrival and still empty on departure. However, the quality of the food more than made up for it! Fast service; maybe a little too fast.”

“Took my favourite summer rolls as a starter, they were fantastic. Rich taste of peanut sauce perfectly combined with mild taste of the prawns. Delicious! As a main I had steak pho, it was yummy. I was really happy with generous amount of well done steak. Noodles were cooked perfectly, they were not overdone and melted in my mouth. I would also like to mention Margherita, who was really friendly and helpful, she even helped me to charge my phone. Great service! Thank you guys.”

“Yes, it is very safe place for dine in for families. Staff are very nice. There is a disable toilet in the restaurant. Free parking is available behind the restaurant. We had koftae kebab with turkish bread and chips. It was tasty and freshly grilled.”

Everything came quickly, my cocktail was yummy, hubby was won over because his come came in a bottle. “Amazing Italian restaurant!! Me and my daughter went there for a meal off chance. Even it was quite late the chef was happy to cook for us a meal that was not on a menu! Our meal was fresh and full of flavour! The staff were friendly and made us welcome from the moment we arrived! Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a delicious plate of pasta, this place delivers. I can’t wait to come back – it truly felt like a little slice of Italy!”

The food is always of a good standard (can vary depending on day of the week) and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The menu is very much standard but really enjoy the salt and chilli ribs and their satay sauce, much more authentic than your standard Chinese”

“A little bit of Italy in Marlow! I have been a customer of Satollo for many years....most definitely the best coffee in Marlow, Henley - everywhere in fact! The cafe interior is rustic and has a fabulous vibe and the outdoor seating in Summer or Autumn with the canopy and heaters make for a cosy place to sit. The cafe may be small, however, the food they serve is plentiful and delicious from Pesto Bruschetta (my favourite) Parmigiana, cheese/meat boards served beautifully and often can not be finished so you go home with a box! and another favourite, Grigliato sandwich or salad....yum! The staff are very polite and friendly and the new Manageress, Karolina is quick, efficient and able to "read" the room resulting in the service she and her staff give to be first class. It says it all when the young students come back to work there year after year! They remember your name and your coffee choice (which I love) and even ask after my elderly mother who visits now and again. The fresh homemade cakes and pastries are amazing....chocolate croissant being my grandchildren's favourite and the lemon cannoli is a must! Whether it is lunch/coffee with friends or a peaceful half hour on your own sipping a lovely cup of coffee or glass of wine, I would definitely recommend a visit to Satollo. Enjoy!”
