“We recently held a staff meal for 24 people at The Bladebone, and it was an outstanding experience! The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, displaying exceptional service and attention to detail. The food was phenomenal—definitely the best I've had in a long time from a public house. Each dish was prepared with care and tasted delicious, showcasing the quality and creativity of the kitchen. “Gotten pies to take away from here a few times, today I sat in with some friends visiting from the US, we all loved the pies. Recommendations are the Five Nations, the Lamb & Mint, and the Venison & Boar. The pork pies are pretty good but would recommend their other pies over them.”

“Excellent Chef table experience. It is not only food and drink. Gettign to talk to the staff was an amazing experience. The food was delicious. I opted for a diary and meat free menu. Every dish was amazing. Every bite was full of flavour. In terms of drinks, I normally only drink water with lunch. This time, I went for the mocktail pairing. I loved all of them, sugar free, creative and full of new flavours.”

“The food here was excellent as always. Starters were prompt, and delicious, I had cheese souffle, my husband had a duo of pate, both were a good size. The main was course was also fantastic, chicken with a pernod sauce, and my husband had venison. We really should have stopped there as we were actually full, but sight of tarte tatin on the desert menu tempted us. It was delicious, but I couldn't finish it, such was the size of the portions. We also had a bottle of house Merlot which was very good. Service was prompt and polite, it really is a delightful treat to eat at Pierre Victoire!”

From the moment we walked in, Carla and Marco were exceptional hosts, treating our girls with such warmth and kindness—it truly made the evening special. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with that perfect balance of crispy crust and rich toppings. But the real standout? The profiteroles dessert—an absolute must-try! “If you like remote and dog friendly, this is ideal. Google maps took us down some country lanes and over a single way bridge, on the map the pub shows pretty much on an island surrounded by country parks & lakes. The location is nice. Car park has about 30 spaces & I think 2 electric car chargers. The pub was pretty quiet when we arrived and the locals/staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub itself has a lovely interior. To the food, we had the vegan burger, bacon and cheese burger and the childs fish goujons. All very nice and well portioned. For dessert we had the rhubarb crumble with vanilla and vegan ice cream, finished off the meal perfectly.”

“Simple but great sushi, noodle and rice options with a good range of proteins including tofu steak. We went with a salmon sushi platter which didn't disappointed; a couple of chicken ramen and a chicken katsudon - all were simply great. Their homemade chilli oil is exceptional and should be used sparingly! Nice team. Go support.”

“Yes, it is very safe place for dine in for families. Staff are very nice. There is a disable toilet in the restaurant. Free parking is available behind the restaurant. We had koftae kebab with turkish bread and chips. It was tasty and freshly grilled.”

“Phoned for a reservation and advised food served from 6 pm. Got a very warm welcome from staff. Shown to table. As well as menu's given, there is a great selection of specials on a blackboard that is brought to table. We had main courses, desserts and coffee afterwards. The food was excellent and ate it all. When I asked if we could have cream with our coffee instead of milk - no problem. We had a nice relaxed evening in a lovely homely pub and our stomachs were full. Well recommend a visit to all. 8th February 2020 - under new management Got a very warm welcome and noticed new decor. Food was FANTASTIC and took photos. Look forward to next visit.”

“10/10! Fantastic food, authentic French flavors! It’s a perfect spot for a light lunch/tea as the serving sizes are on the smaller side. If it comes with a green salad, it will be served on a small plate. Next time I’ll try an entree sized item as I’m still a bit peckish — but to be fair, I did come in for a very late lunch. The little green salads are delicious and crunchy. I had the salmon and leek quiche and my partner the seafood crepe — both outstanding! Looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend!”

“I've eaten here quite a few times, and it's always been amazing food at great prices. But I also had the recent pleasure of taking my mother here recently. To most people, that wouldn't sound anything major. However my mother is very reluctant to try new foods, and (with OCD to boot) she has anxiety around cleanliness and hygiene. So eating out and eating food she isn't familiar with is a big step. She loved this place and everything we ate. She has talked about it to everyone in the family, and it's been a huge hit. She was impressed with how clean everything was, the politeness of service (our waiter was even calling her mum by the end of service), and just how delicious and fresh the food was. She promptly took photos of all the food too. So I wanted to leave a review to say how grateful I am to this restaurant and staff. I've always loved eating here, but to have my mother raving about the food here really says a lot. I saw another review saying that they thought the food wasn't fresh - every time I've eaten here the food has been very fresh. You can tell that by the prawns in the salads. We ate: the papaya salad, spring rolls, crispy pork with rice, and a pork dry noodle dish.”

“Visited for the first time last weekend, and absolutely loved the food and the vibe! The part-time waitress we had was amazing and a lovely lady that definitely looked after us! Please note that service can take a while, we stayed over 2 hours for a main and a dessert!”

It's a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants around, but I think that if you're looking for a decent meal that's quality meets the price. you can't go wrong with this place! Service was great too, which is always a plus.”

“Had a lovely visit to Miller and Carter today. We were served by Joe who was a lovely, friendly and happy. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the duck and mango salad and it was very tasty (just slightly to many chillies). We were there to celebrate my son's graduations and a birthday and they brought over free desserts for both and sang happy birthday. Brilliant visit and will definitely visit again.”

Jason and the team made sure our special day went flawlessly and truly was the most beautiful day of our lives! The service was 12/10! The food was 12/10! The attention to detail was incredible. They knew the seating plan and which guest had which dish, they accommodated our request for gaps in between courses and they just genuinely provided the most incredible experience anybody could wish! The venue is beautiful and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! I would give 6stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back!”
