“We travelled from the Midlands to take my wife's nan who lives in Reading to Beale Park as she has always wanted to go. It was well worth the 5 hours of driving. The place has plenty of parking and was spotless inside. The staff were all really helpful and cheery. Lots of lovely places to sit and eat. All the pathways are nice for a wheelchair too. Plenty of animals and well maintained gardens to look at. We liked the fact that you just go round in two big loops so no dead ends to get lost in. We all had a great time thank you. Only thing is that when we go out to a place as a family we get a fridge magnet and you didn't have any with your place name on. Shame we don't live closer as we would deffo return for another visit.”

“Nice place to take in the fresh air or walk the dog, cricket club/loose ends (hot meals daily for those in need, food bank and essential clothing sleeping bags etc for homeless individuals) I believe they may take clothing/food donations”

“What an incredible hidden gem. This nature walk offers a pleasant mix of waterside scenery, meadowland, and woodland edges. The bird watching is fantastic with nature stops along the way. A big lake that supports both wildlife and recreational use.There is free parking also on Swan Lane which has plenty of spaces.”

The route is perfect for pushchairs and offers lovely views across the water, where you can spot swans, ducks, and other birdlife. For those wanting a longer stroll, the 2.2-mile Woodland Walk takes you through ancient woodland and across a boardwalk over Longmoor Bog, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This trail feels like a real escape into nature, with rare mosses and plants creating a serene atmosphere. Excellent for Kids & Family Time This is where the park truly shines for families. The adventure play area is fantastic, modern, and engaging. It's split into two main sections: * The Sensory Garden: Aimed at younger children, this area features creative water play sections, a colourful pirate ship, musical chimes, and gentle climbing frames. * The Wild Wood: Designed for older, more adventurous kids, this part includes a fantastic large wooden treehouse, climbing structures, a zip line, and swings. During the warmer months, the paddling pool is an enormous hit (booking is usually required). With ample space for picnics and Jacksons Café on-site offering delicious food and drinks with a view of the lake, you can comfortably spend the entire day here. Relaxed Family Fishing For those looking to introduce their kids to fishing, Longmoor Lake is ideal. It is a well-stocked coarse fishery, offering a relaxed and picturesque environment. You can expect to catch species like roach, perch, tench, and even some good-sized carp and pike. It’s perfect for pleasure fishing from one of the 33 designated swims.”

“Very good for family's cafe there swings tennis courts basketball court football court for bigger kids as well as bigger park fun also have Woods and a rover there so just good to take animals as well”

“Great place for dog walking. If done correctly your dog gets clean in the ponds that contain reasonably clean water.”

“My son had a fantastic time today at Lagoona Park. He had lots of fun on the floats. The lifeguards and other staff were very friendly. The place was very clean. There were lots of sitting areas for customers. Wonderful place. We spent the afternoon sitting outside with our picnic. We had a fabulous time.”

“Amazing experience. The Staff were so helpful. Very good place to take the family. I do recommend booking online as it's very difficult to book anything there as staff are understandably busy looking after the safety of everyone and running the place very well.”

“Love this place, been coming since i was a kid. Lovely walk around. Very dog friendly..shame dog mess isn't always picked up but thats on the individual owners not the park itself as there are plenty of specific dog poo bins available. Great park for kids where dogs arent allowed in.”

“Ny kids have the most enjoyable time at this soft play the manager always welcomes us with the kindest warmest smile. The soft play is so clean. Whilst my children enjoy a run around I always enjoy my hot beverages and jacket potato made by Tracey she’s so friendly and one of the reasons I always find myself coming back to this soft play”

“It was my daughter’s birthday, and there were 24 of us in total. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy, and although we waited around 10 minutes, we were seated surprisingly quickly. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. I’ve never seen a team work so hard and so respectfully — every single staff member was giving 100%. Full credit to the manager for putting together such a wonderful and professional team. Highly recommended!”

“Came in today with my family for dinner, we had amazing experience, our food came out very quickly, staff were very efficient; Charley, Shannon and Ellie were on the bar massive thank you to them for looking after us ❤️ Compliments to the chefs Anna & Corey- we asked for their names at the bar- very fast with the orders and met our dietary requirements so thank you again! “We failed to locate the 'Blewbury Water Garden' itself. However, Blewbury was still very much worth a visit, as it is a charming, water-rich little village. Walk along the many footh paths, visit the old church and church yard, go have a drink in the pub. And if you are very lucky, you might bump into one of the members of the enthousiastic bell ringers guild of the village, who then might tell you about the history of the tenor bell, which is captured in the new stained glass window.”
