“Saturday lunch for 8 of us, food was great and service quick but the star of the day was Ruby our waitress she was very attentive, friendly and fun, thanks for making it an enjoyable experience for us all.”
“9 of us went for bottomless brunch yesterday, amazing value for money, service was outstanding the drinks just kept on flowing our glasses were never empty, the lady with half blonde and half brown hair was brilliant so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, The BBQ chicken wings were amazing. We will be back soon.”
“Went here with my partner for a spontaneous date and it was lovely! Seated quickly food was hot and fresh and service was great, it was very quiet which was a surprise and at first it looked like they only had one lovely member of staff working and she looked swamped bless her but she did an amazing job! By the time it was time to get the bill our table had been taken over by another staff member and I didn't get her name unfortunately, food was expensive but the quality was great and for a once in a while treat cant really complain!”
“Came here two Saturdays with my boyfriend. We've never been before, in our early 30s, like partying and been meaning to go. Luckily a promo guy encouraged us and we were happy we went. Music was on point, drinks weren't too expensive and it looks really pretty inside. Definitely will be going back”
“Lovely little real ale 'homemade' gem of a pub.. Apparently built and owned by the guy who runs it - and his dedication shows in bundles. There's a popular quiz night, very well kept beers, a cosy quirky decor and it's dog friendly.. It's not very big though so it can be a bit of a squeeze when it's busy. A couple of small steps and quite a tight doorway entrance, but possible to get a wheelchair in with some assistance + it's not open every day so check the times before setting off. You won't be disappointed!”
“Fantastic bottle shop with an even more Fantastic selection! The owner is a great guy who's knowledgeable and gives great recommendations.”
“Fantastic food really tasty and the portion sizes are always fantastic value for money. Atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly. This place is definitely worth the trip out!”
“Excellent, excellent food. Brilliant and friendly service. Make sure that you are hungry when you go.”
“Great little micro pub, good selection of beers, nice warm welcome from the landlord. Pleasant atmosphere, prices to sort every pocket. Thoroughly recommend.”
“Good night out, live band and good atmosphere.”
“Had a wonderful lunch here with my wife earlier today. I had the truffle mushroom on toast and it was delicious. Perfect poached egg too. The service is always really friendly, and the music is always great at Elm - not to mention the coffee! Would recommend this lovely cafe to anyone.”
“Great bar - spent New Year’s Eve here and the staff were so welcoming and kind even though it was a v busy night for them! Atmosphere was great, we had so much fun!”
“Quite a busy little local pub with a great atmosphere. Enjoyed a lovely meal there, just a simple pie chips and peas, everything seemed home made and was very tasty. Friendly and attentive staff looked after us well. I will definitely be making a return visit.”
“Very friendly place we will be back ☺️”
“Amazing staff, great vibe and decent music! My partner goes here couple times a month and is perfect as a daily boozer or a good night out on their Wed/Sun Jam nights. Music ranges but usually is more rock/retro focussed but welcomes all.”
“Fantastic little real ale tap room. Always an amazing selection of reasonably priced ales on offer. A proper oasis. Pay it a visit. You won't be disappointed. Very welcoming.”
“This is now our go to pub on the way home from walking or climbing in the peaks. Cheap, good quality real ale, with a nice selection of mostly local breweries. Friendly staff and locals”
“Great pub with a fantastic atmosphere. Staff are all very friendly and could not do enough. They interacted with everyone and actually made the night more fun. Looking forward to coming back.”
“Simply one of the best bottle shops and pubs I've been in. 20 lines of draft, 3 ciders, hundreds of bottles. Great snacks and crisps, reading material provided. Can't ask for more. Nigel and the team have made something really special, and I'm proud to call it my local!”
“As always, the bay horse is an old school boozer....no fancy food ,in fact no food at served at the bar, just good honest beers and lagers. Usually a good atmosphere around the place and the service is ok If your passing I would recommend giving it a try”
“went for bottomless brunch with nine pals on the weekend. super speedy service - we literally never had an empty drink and you definitely get your money's worth with the deal!! the food was a great portion too - kept you full but not loads of food leftover. three of us weren't drinking and the venue let us order from the normal food menu rather than the bottomless brunch menu which was really appreciated! lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. mikela deserves a special mention - she served us both times ive been and has always been super lovely and smiley and attentive!”
“The Lucky Fox, halfway along Division Street, is always very busy. This is a good indication of quality. The place is quite small, seating less than thirty. Decor is casual and a bit rustic with a good hint of classic Americana. Reclaimed timber and American signs and art cover the walls, but not too in your face. The food is definitely the star attraction, made fresh to order every day. Most dishes are based around their "famous fried chicken" and they're on to a winner there. Portions are reasonable, prices are fair and the food is as fresh as you could want. The staff are friendly, and the service is quick. If you're along Division Street at lunch time, make sure you check for a free table.”
“We used The Ale House for my mum's wake a few weeks ago, and we were delighted . Sue provided a fab buffet for us all , with plenty of food and hot drinks, and more importantly for us - in a room to ourselves. Highly recommended!”
“This was my first time eating at Qashqai Kitchen after hearing a lot about the restaurant, and to be honest, it was a great experience. The customer service was 10/10, and the food was amazing — real, pure home-cooked dishes. I don’t know the name of the guy who served us. He was a big, muscular guy who looked quite serious at first, but as soon as you start talking to him, you realize he is such a sweet, humble, and welcoming person. The restaurant was very busy and crowded, yet he still provided excellent service. I absolutely recommend this place. It’s one of those rare restaurants you won’t find anywhere else.”
“Very welcoming, great atmosphere lovley staff. We were booked into this bar as away fans for our pre match drinks before the Middlesbrough v Rotherham game They laid on a very nice finger buffet. Would recommend.”
“Great Local with the prices and staff in a quiet Yorkshire village. Offers a broad range of Cask Ales, Lagers and Beer along with a substantial Gin selection. Quiz nights on a Sunday are great fun with a gallon of beer to the winner and it’s free to enter! All live sports are shown on multiple TVs. Quality Local!”
“Such a cozy spot with delicious food! The atmosphere is super warm and inviting, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place for a chill meal or date night. Just make sure to book a reservation ahead of time, it fills up quickly, especially on weekends!”
“Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.”
“Great pub and atmosphere. Owners go over and above to make it welcoming. Turned the pub around”
